They did this on the sly, as my sister and brother and I had asked them not to go out and were doing all of their shopping for them, but they have fished for years and they were not going to let a virus stop them! The other establishment had a long line, no masks and they were very uncomfortable, so they left and drove to your shop. When they got there you were closed for business and were working on your new window. You opened up for them, kept your distance, wore a mask and got them their fishing licenses. You did such a kind act of service for them and we are so very grateful! You did not have to do that, but you did. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and you made quite an impression on them, and us. We will support your business 100%! God bless you!

On yesterday, 7/31/19 around 6:30 pm, my fiance and I went to Dunham Sports in the Lansing Mall. I am a handgun owner and I wanted to look at a different caliber of one of the guns that I already own. Prior to my trip to the mall, I had just attended a job interview in downtown Lansing. For the record, I am a semi-retired nuclear engineer with over 26 years of work experience. I am of african american descent. I have held a government-issued secret security clearance for some of the work that I have overseen. I was impeccably dressed in a business suit and tie. My fiance and I decided to visit the Lansing Mall because we had a little time to kill before returning home. I approached the gun counter salesman and asked to see a handgun from the glass case. The salesman, who said his name was Austin, asked my for my driver's license. I handed it to him. He then asked if my current address matched the address on my license. I said no since I had moved recently. The salesman then apologized and said that he could not allow me to see any guns in the case since my current address didn't match my driver's license. I said that this seemed irregular since I have purchased and owned a few handguns. I asked my fiance to provide her license so that I could look at the gun. Again, the salesman apologized and said that I could not see the handgun since I had originally expressed interest in seeing the gun. Incredulous, I asked for the name and contact information for the District Manager responsible for the Lansing store. On my way out of the store, the salesman gave me a piece of paper with a name and phone number on it but cautioned me that the District Manager would be out of the office on vacation for a week or two. While shopping at other stores in the mall, I called the number the salesman had given me. Someone from the Midland, MI store answered. I asked to speak to a store manager and told him what had just happened. I asked if it was normal store policy not to allow a customer to even see a handgun unless their current address matched their driver license. He said that that was definitely NOT corporate policy. I returned to Dunham's Sports in the mall and asked to speak with the store manager. I told him what happened earlier and he agreed that Austin had followed store policy. I told him that I would be contacting the Dunham's Sports Corporate Office. Saying I am disappointed in the total lack of customer service and professionalism provided by the Dunham Sports sales people and store management at the Lansing Mall location would be a MAJOR UNDERSTATEMENT. Update: As of 8/1/19 at 11:00, I called and left a voicemail with Will, the district manager for the Lansing Mall store, asking him to give me a call back. I will update my review as soon as he or someone from the corporate office calls me back.

I spent three months researching before choosing the 2024 Coachmen Cross Trail 20XG. In December 2024, I found one at Camping World in Coldwater, Michigan, and was especially drawn in by the advertised Renogy battery upgrade. I spoke with Mike in sales for weeks, negotiated pricing, and even planned to fly in from Texas to buy it. The day before my flight, I called to confirm and was told Mike had quit for another job. I still went, trusting the "benefits of a nationwide chain." That trust was a massive mistake. Here's what happened immediately after purchase: * First night: No heat. I had to sleep with the engine running just to avoid freezing. * Day two: Gasoline poured out from under the RV at my first fuel stop. Good Sam, Ford Roadside, and AAA were useless. Ford and Coachmen pointed fingers at each other until a mechanic discovered the generator fuel line was only zip-tied up -- a sloppy, dangerous shortcut that caused the leak. * Nationwide service - a flat-out lie: Coldwater sold me this RV with the promise I could get service at any Camping World nationwide -- especially important since I live in Texas. That was a sales tactic, nothing more. When I actually needed help, Camping World Texas flat-out refused to touch it because it was purchased out of state. After dozens of calls, I was told they "can't know every state's rules." That's not a detail -- that's deliberate deception at the point of sale. * The real cause of the heat issue: An independent Texas shop (NOT Camping World) finally discovered a stray bullet lodged in the AC/heating system. The entire system had to be replaced under warranty -- less than a month into ownership. * Other disasters: * The Renogy battery system has never worked reliably despite three mechanics trying. * The awning fell off because screws weren't tightened. * A side compartment literally collapsed and won't lock. * The tank sensors have never worked, even after six shops in three states. * Most recently, coolant started leaking because a hose was routed against an engine belt until it wore through. This wasn't just bad luck -- this was negligence, dishonesty, and complete lack of accountability from both Camping World and Coachmen. They sold me a brand-new RV that was unsafe from day one, and then abandoned me when problems appeared. From a gas leak, to a bullet in the heating system, to falling parts, failing batteries, and endless lies -- Camping World Coldwater sold me a lemon and washed their hands of it. My advice: RUN from Camping World Coldwater. They will say anything to close a sale, and then leave you stranded when the RV inevitably falls apart.

November 25, 2025, was one of the most humiliating, degrading, and disrespectful experiences I've ever had! Upon arrival at Sportsman's Warehouse to pick up my order for a Rose, a limited-edition firearm, we walked past a man we later found out was Steve. Several other people were in the department at this time while Steve began helping other customers. When it was my turn to talk with Steve, I let him know I was there to pick up my firearm arm. He asked for my name, then went to the back. He then returned and said, "We have it, but I'm not selling it to you because you two smell like weed." My significant other and I assumed it was a joke, so we laughed it off. Steve kept a straight face, and at that moment, I realized he was being serious. I asked him to repeat himself, and he did, saying he had walked past us twice and that we smelled like weed. I immediately told him he had to be joking and that I did not smell anything like weed. He insisted we smelled like weed and wasn't giving me my order. Thankfully, a customer in the department overheard Steve's accusations and intervened, stating that it was him and that he works at a dispensary, and that he just swung by to purchase ammunition, which is why the department smelled like weed. Steve did not do his due diligence to determine where the smell was coming from, but instead assumed it was coming from my significant other and me. We thanked the man for speaking up. Had this man not spoken up, we would have remained the victims of Steve's power trip, lack of professionalism, and ridiculous accusations. Out of everyone in the department, why were we singled out? Why were we discriminated against? Of everyone in the department, he blamed us, and I was upset, so I expressed my frustration respectfully. I had every right to be upset. However, according to Steve, if I were upset, he had the authority not to give me my firearm unless I agreed to let it go. No law requires you to have a good attitude or tolerate disrespect to receive your firearm, but it may be in Sportsman's Warehouse's policy and procedures. This is the primary place to purchase ammunition for our firearms due to its affordable prices and inventory. Unfortunately, I can no longer say this after spending over $1,000 on a firearm and being disrespected, threatened, and humiliated by Steve. Steve's word against mine, I think not! You don't have to take my word for it; listen to it for yourself. The audio recording can be found at https://youtu.be/fQE0u0UrqJg Sportsman's Warehouse needs more people like Andrew and none like Steve! Andrew overheard Steve's nonsense and immediately came to apologize for Steve, attempting to de-escalate and diffuse the situation. He provided excellent customer service and apologized for our experience. We are aware of the laws regarding substances and firearm purchases. What's even more important to me personally is that I pride myself on being one of the few individuals who have never done any substances other than an occasional glass of wine, so hearing that I smelled like weed was a slap in my face and an attack on my character. I have wanted this firearm since it was released, and unfortunately, my excitement and joy have been taken from me, never to return, thanks to Steve. Every time I go to the range or show off my new firearm, I will be reminded of the horrors of Steve. You can record a conversation in Michigan because it is a "one-party consent" state, meaning you can record a conversation if you are a participant and have consented to the recording, and I have consented.
