never come. The menu is totally fake, the picture in the menu looks good while the dishes are awful. We ordered the Braised Pork with Chestnuts. But there was no chestnuts. Not EVEN ONE chestnut can be found. Chicken is not fresh at all, even worse than homemade dishes. The waiter recommended Grilled Mutton, which is almost 90 percent of onion and less than 10 percent of meat. The menu is all fake. It's cheating customers.

I ordered delivery from Schouse while in town for business, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. I don't have high hopes for food scene here since I'm spoiled with the Bay Area food options and qualities. But I'm glad I tried Schouse, and I've bookmarked it in case I'm back here again in the future. I ordered the pudding tofu with beef and boy choy with mushrooms. Both tasted great and they also honored your special requests for food prep. The pudding tofu with beef has just the right kick, and the beef is very flavorful, the tofu is silky and has a great soybean taste as well. The boc choy was also well prepared, not too greasy either. Great Szechuan food in the area, and I definitely recommend checking it out!

In my four years as a student on Princeton campus, there hasn't been another restaurant remotely close to SC House in terms of the consistency of their offerings and also the deliciousness of their food. The lunch specials that run M-F from 11:00-2:00 is so so good. the 土豆丝 is absolutely to die for. the restaurant may be a bit of a walk from main campus especially if you are not coming from the engineering quad, but wow, is the walk worth it every time. the free 蛋花汤 that comes with every lunch special entree order is great, and each of the specials are very affordably priced. I highly recommend the rattan pepper fish, the kung po chicken, and the lamb with cumin. outside of these options, I also highly recommend trying their pork belly entree (if you are coming for dinner) or their egg tofu dish. prices are not as good for dinner portions but I think if you are eating potluck style with friends it's worth it. service is solid - the staff make sure your waters are filled and that you are waited on properly. food comes out decently fast and the bathroom at this establishment has always been clean when I visit (probably over 20-30 times at this point) SC House also does a great job offering catering discounts to student groups so that aspect also deserves a shoutout. Will sorely miss this little chinese restaurant when I graduate this coming may.

I went back here recently and it's always extremely busy and there aren't a lot of veg options like I remember.

Schouse continues to provide exceptionally tasting food. The food is among the best Chinese food, I've had in the area. Everything is so flavorful, prepared to perfection, and absolutely delectable. (The only caveat would be the egg drop seaweed soup, which came with our lunch special. It was not good at all, but I'm keeping my original rating, since the entrees are so good) I've never had a better tasting pan fried chicken dumpling! For main entrees, I've had Shredded Pork in Garlic Sauce, Kung Po Chicken, Broccoli with Chicken, Eggplant with Garlic Suave. All are outstanding. Please note the number of chili peppers next to each dish indicating level of "hotness"! Although, we went with more mainstream entrees, the majority of the options are very unique and not ones I have seen on other Chinese restaurant menus. Hot and Spicy Diced Rabbit, Shredded Pig Ear, Duck Blood Soup, Spicy Frog, and Sautéed Pork Intestine to name a few are among the very unique offerings on their menu. If you are an adventurous eater, this place has got your number. Since, I only eat chicken and seafood, my offerings were limited, but I would return here without hesitation! There is outdoor dining as well as a large inside dining area. Service is efficient.

Delicious Szechuan restaurant on Nassau Street in downtown Princeton. Very authentic, many dishes I would not eat, but had a delicious lunch there! Looking for someplace really good and dropped in here for lunch. I can tell you the inside is beautiful and very charming. A very authentic place for Szechuan food. I'll be honest and say that there were many things on the menu that I would probably never eat. And I'm pretty, adventurous! But I bet they're all delicious! I settled for a more familiar fare with their beef and vegetables meal. I did not order from the lunch menu which had lots of choices that would easily suit my palette. I ordered off the menu. It was a big serving and came with delicious rice. It was extremely delicious and for a beef and vegetable dish about as good as it could get. It's obvious the owners take great care in the restaurant and put lots of pride into their work. Highly recommended for authentic Szechuan in downtown Princeton.

Came here for dinner while in Princeton; maybe my standards are too high for a small college town, but was honestly underwhelmed. This is supposed to be a Szechuan spot, but both of the meat dishes were not spicy at all. Fish fillet with hot pepper - probably the best of the three dishes. The fish was nice and crispy, and although it lacked heat, I felt that the seasoning was flavorful. I did feel that the bread to fish ratio on many of the pieces was a bit too high. Beef brisket - The brisket wasn't that tender, and I found myself chewing for a very long time and leaving with lots of pieces of meat stuck between my teeth. A lot of the pieces of bell pepper and onion were also undercooked. Cucumber w/ garlic sauce - Tasted fresh and garlicky, but was undersalted

one of the better chinese places in the princeton area, I'd take someone here. always pretty busy but not too loud. service can be slow and it can take a bit of time to get seated recommend: cabbage, dry pots

Spicy Chicken w.Chongqing Style (Chicken, dry chili, szechuan pepper). Addictive.
    Daph S.

We visited on a rainy afternoon on a weekday and settling into a place like this for lunch was perfect. Since moving to the area, I've been looking for a place that had more than the typical American-Chinese food, and more specifically a place that had Chongqing style chicken (chicken, dry chili, szechuan pepper). Jackpot! This chicken is seriously addictive. Crispy and the right level of spice. We also ordered a pot of tea, steamed pork soup buns, pudding tofu with salted egg yolk, lamb with hot pepper, and sweet sticky rice for dessert. All very good. Our favorites were the chicken and pudding tofu with salted egg yolk (the latter we tried based on seeing pictures on yelp). Service was polite and quick. I've still yet to eat at many restaurants in the downtown Princeton area. From what I can tell so far, there seem to be many expensive restaurants with average food and fewer good casual places with service. So I'm very glad to have visited and know this exists- will definitely be back.

While I did say this place is a , I would say it is more on the 3.5 than anything else as this place is a very solid Chinese restaurant. I haven't ordered everything from here but I would say that the diverse food that I ordered, almost all of it was really solid except for braised pork was a bit too saucy and the taste was a little bit all over the place. My favorite was pork intestine and jellyfish. Overall I think this place is a good Chinese place to try and one of the better ones in the area. As I have tried almost all of the Chinese around and I would have to say that this one does kick it up a notch in terms of presentation and taste especially with the Sichuan sauce as a favorite.

Came to New Jersey for a week and half vacation. Excited to find Chinese food around the area. Went for lunch with family, so disappointed. Wasted my time and money. The worst meal I have so far in NJ. Expensive for such quality and service. Service=no service, very awkward. Food taste bad. I'm Chinese, these taste worst than what I cook at home. Fish is frozen fish. The soup and the fish is not hot when arrived our table. Some slices of the frozen fish is still a bit cold. The soup is super salty (some sour). Nothing like the picture (in picture is live fish sliced not frozen fish filets). The frog pot is even worst. All I eat is flour, oil and bones, and is overcooked. The pancake, definitely fried in oil, but pan fried. Crunchy but oily inside out. Only dish finished is wonton in chili oil. It's okay, eatable. In total spend 70something for 4dishes before tip. I rather spend $5 for McDonald meal. Will never come again.

Excellent authentic Szechuan in Princeton! Haven for SPICY FOOD lovers. Feeling adventurous, or looking for a good burn? Go for 5/5 "Hell". Wow! TASTY AND BEAUTIFUL! ++ Stir fry pork kidney. Tender, spicy AF and delicious! Watch out. It's a 4/5 spiciness, and the server warns you about it before you commit. It's not stinky or stiff, but this is definitely not a protein for beginners. I loved it. Cold Szechuan Noodles. Sweet and mild (1/5) and still has a great spiciness that builds over several bites. Great flavors. Deep fried pumpkin dessert. Brand new, good texture and sweetness. They're still working on it, so give your feedback! I look forward to coming back! I haven't had good Szechuan in years! Love this spot!

For this year's Chinese New Year, I decided to take the family there for our New Year dinner, and the food was just as good as I remembered. The place hasn't changed a bit, the decor still looks exactly how I remember it, which brought back memories. Since some of my family and friends don't enjoy the same spice level as I do, we adjusted the heat for dinner, and everything still came out fantastic. We ordered the whole steamed fish, happy fish, green beans, tea smoked duck, pork chop, beef pan fried noodles, and more. Every dish was delicious, and the flavors were spot on. The service was a bit tentative at times, but the quality of the food definitely made up for it. Overall, it was a wonderful meal and a great way to celebrate. It seems that both the pepper steak and chicken with broccoli were in the same sauce (& I've actually found that to be common in this area for some reason) but were tasty overall. The egg roll was quite greasy and the wonton soup was pretty solid with the broth being the star. Oh the white rice was cooked how I expect and wish all Chinese white rice is cooked so that's a plus. Overall a true 3.5 star rating but since halves aren't possible I had to go to 3 because it certainly wasn't a 4.

Taiwanese popcorn chicken: This was cooked thoroughly and was delicious when you bite into it. This was definitely worth ordering if you decide to come here. Ultimate Lanzhou beef noodles: My brother said this noodle soup was not spicy at all. In fact it had too much of the black vinegar taste instead. The beef was cooked thoroughly, and the noodles were just all right with nothing special. Lanzhou beef noodles: The soup base for this noodle soup was very bland as if it was just soaking in water. The beef did not have flavor but was cooked thoroughly. The noodles would have tasted a bit better if the soup base had a little flavor to it. A suggestion would be that they should try to perfect the soup base as the noodles are already good.

She enjoyed the shrimp tempura roll and the tuna avocado roll. But the spicy tuna roll was the star of her show. She generously offered me a piece.
