Great spot for the real deal. We tried a number of dishes for a late lunch and enjoyed everything. The service was friendly and attentive. This would be a great spot to spread out with some friends and order lots of different dishes to share.

Super friendly service and great food! Food came out quick and hot and would return to try more dishes.

Went to Szechuan House for a work team lunch, and the food was outstanding. We ordered a wide range of dishes and every single one was excellent. I'll definitely be back to work my way through more of the menu. The staff were brilliant and really attentive, especially considering the size of our group, and the décor is absolutely stunning. Couldn't fault the place.

My family's favorite Chinese food in the central Jersey area! Szechuan House has absolutely delicious Szechuan dishes that come with !! We always return probably on a monthly basis and the lazy Susans, large tables, and adequate spacing allows for larger parties to enjoy a wonderful eating experience!

How is it possible after living here for eight years we were never aware of the Szechuan House. Finally, finding a good consistent Chinese restaurant in the neighborhood one that has quite a large menu so I won't get bored quickly . This was our first visit, and the fact that they were willing to make a change to a dish right off the bat and not charge us extra which I was willing to speak volumes about the food preparation. They actually want to make the dish from scratch so it could've been any sauce any vegetables that we wanted . My wife started off with a traditional small wonton soup. I start off with a traditional egg drop soup and we shared two dishes. One was beef in a brown sauce with black mushroom and asparagus, and the other shrimp in a black bean sauce, to which we asked them to do half shrimp and half scallops. Both dishes very fresh really nice flavor. Nice presentation certainly was filling. It's a BYOB and would also helps us is that other Chinese families were enjoying dinner the same time that we were there so it's nice to know that local place is frequented by the residence by the big parking lot and they take credit cards very very sweet staff very caring

I wanted the Peking Duck at first, but found out it was $30 more than I expected. So settled 4 the Beef and Scallions. Very seasoned well and tasty. Thank you.

After months of saying we must check out Szechuan House after reading about them in NJ.COM earlier this summer, my partner and I finally had a dinner date at SH two weekends ago. Loved this place as soon as we drove onto the lot. The whole vibe is classic Chinese restaurant; I couldn't help but think of places my family would go to when I was a kid. The food surpassed expectations. We knew it was going to be good, but it was even better than we imagined. This is what we ordered that night. Great meal: - Scallion Pancakes - Sesame Cold Noodles - Choy Sum and Mushrooms - Eggplant in Garlic Sauce - Vegetable Fried Rice Everyone working there was friendly - greeting you when you enter and wishing you well when you leave. Szechuan House is a gem.

Excellent double-cooked pork and chicken in garlic sauce. 'Spicy' was a bit on the mild side, but the bursting flavor makes up for it. Scallion pancakes were deliciously crisp and fresh, but maybe a tad oily.

To clarify, this review is specifically for the Thali. The butter chicken was good, but the curry chicken was a bit bland. We would consider going back to try their other dishes, but probably not on a weekday during a lunch break. If you're coming from work and need to get back quickly, this may not be the best spot for a quick lunch.

In spite of good reviews and a second change in decor, that business was not able to survive very long. As I walked in to pick up my order I had mixed feelings. Sad about the fact that another very good and unique European restaurant was gone, and wondering about the future success of the new business. I noticed that the place had been painted and redecorated once again . This I guess could be called an Indian fusion house, offering many common dishes along with some I had not heard of. They also have Indo Chinese options. My first visit was so good that I thought I would return once more before reviewing. I tried the garlic naan and aloo paratha, both good to very good. The paratha was very thin and had a delicately spiced potato mixture inside, I wished there was more filling but enjoyed as it was. The chicken 65 tasted very good, but had too much sauce as I would have preferred the pieces of meat to be crispy. Chicken Radha was a rustic curry with about half of a bone in chicken. I loved this dish and the portion was 2 meals. Chicken biryani was equally tasty and came with very good raita. Chicken Manchow soup was new to me, think hot and sour soup and then add copious amounts of ginger and garlic. You have to like garlic to appreciate this soup, and I do and did! Service was friendly on both visits and orders were packed up very well, with additional onion, lime and peppers for the biryani and crispy noodles to top the soup with. A good friend went to dine in and had a great meal too, taking advantage of the all you can eat lunch Thali. I'm at about 4.5 stars for now....

The place was clean, I called ahead so there wasn't a wait, but it was empty inside, except for take-out orders. It's nice that they offer an order online option and call ahead for take-out, especially for those who don't have a long lunch break. So I got the Singapore Mei Fun which was also reccommended. It was smaller than where I usually get Mei Fun from, but it was still very good. The price was a little higher than what I usually pay, but again I was satidfied with the food. It was nice and spicy, just how I like it. Also got a Shrimp Egg roll, which had half of a shrimp in it...kinda disappointing. Overall it was decent. I'd give it 3.5 stars but that's not an option. I'll probably return if I'm in the mood for Chinese, unless I find a better place around here. But for now, this is the best Chinese I've found in the area near work.

The mister took my order and chatted with me, and the misses served my plate of egg foo young, egg roll and fried rice, with a smile and gratitude. They have been in this location just off Brunswick Circle in Trenton, NJ for a few years, and seem to be making of go of it. The store is long and narrow, with a small dining room in front, two middle rooms that appear to be used by the family, and a rear kitchen. There is some distance between front and back, and they installed a bell for customers to use to catch their attention. I used it to get them to come out and accept my payment. The lunch was about par for the course in the metro area. All the owners must have gone to the same restaurant school, because most of the wonton houses have identical menus, and tastes. A Happy Family is no different, except that they deserve credit for making their fried rice without soup bouillon with dye to color the rice. This pile of grain looked natural, and was nicely chunky. The pancakes were full of veggies, wok fried, with a plastic cup of brown sauce on the side. It was decent. The egg roll was mostly cabbage with a few slivers of pork, but I didn't expect anything more. They have a confusing menu because of the similarity of the lunch specials, and combo offerings. Not clear what the differences are, except one costs less than $6, while the other comes in at $7.50. Not a big deal either way, but I like to know what I am looking at when ordering. A Happy Family is worth a visit if Chinois Americain is something you like. Your visit will do a lot to keep these folks pleased.

Nice to see the family together. My lunch special was actually better than expected. The egg Foo Young was made with fresh ingredients and the ubiquitous brown sauce lighter and more flavorful than in most chop shops. Even the fried rice, though that prefab yellow cast, was at least tender and full of finely cut veggies. Prices were ridiculously low (under $7), and there was a choice of soup, egg roll or bottled drink included. No extra charge for my Snapple. While the place could be cleaner, and the mess in the hallway leading to the restroom organized and stored out of sight, the food makes it worthy of regular, if infrequent, visits.
