My son loves the Ferris wheel and sometimes I stop in just to let him ride if for a dollar. However I do come here for almost all of my sporting needs, minus golf they are lacking in female golfing supplies. I almost always find what I need here even if I don't love the price. The stuff are knowledge on what they carry and where to find it. They are not competitively price though, I have found many things cheaper at Out Door Sportsman and online a lot. read more

I would give you zero stars if I could. I was having great day up until I was rudely called out by the associated Nick Clarke for my Baseball teams hat. He made me feel uncomfortable and I didn't appreciate how he belittled me in front of my colleagues. Suuuper friendly helpful staff and they have dog treats! I was not aware of that! It's an employee owned company which unsurprisingly means they employees care more about working there than merely their wage. Refreshing to see and I love supporting that structure. Visit this place simply to view their huge aquarium tank with tons of cool fishes! But then take a look around for their sporting and outdoor equipment. Their fishing department has amazing stuff. Lots of apparel as well. Camping department is a bit lacking. But overall a good place to shop. read more

I really like Scheels. The environment is nice and I have had nothing but great service whenever I have been there. I like shopping for casual clothing there because they have styles that I like (even though I am well over retirement age) and the sales associates are very friendly and helpful. My wife and I didn't go to the store until well over a year after they opened. I'm sure they probably had some glitches the first months after they opened, but if so, they have really got their act together. I love the casual cafeteria. The bread is fresh and the sandwiches are very good. If you are into fudge, you've got to check this out. They have a large variety of 'homemade' fudges. That said, my wife prefers unprocessed meats on her sandwiches (she's really not crazy about sandwiches) but she will eat there because I like it. read more

great store, great sales, great employees! however, there were a great deal of people not wearing masks. and no employees said anything to them. kind of ridiculous considering there's a local mask mandate and Scheels has signs saying masks are required. what's the point of those signs if you don't enforce the policy and allow customers to directly violate government orders? read more

This place has had the best customer service I have ever dealt with from a sporting goods store. I purchased a rifle from them there ended up being a problem with the scope. Took it back and since they didn't have another scope so they upgraded my scope for free and replaced a box of ammo. read more

Finally stoped in to see if they had the ammo I needed. Man was I pleasantly surprised! They had any kind of ammo I wanted in stock and at a great price. There are so many fun things for kids to do at this store - shooting range, playground, ferris wheel, a couple good choices, giant aquariums filled with fish, large animal displays, fun statues of famous people and animals, ...and car carts. As I walked in the store today the sign stating Bison Sliders caught my attention at lunch time. First I proceeded to look for the item I came for to look at. Then to the cafe to check the price of the Bison Slider which is $6.99. At first thought I perceived it to more than I thought of spending. The second thought said yes. I am glad I did as the meat had great taste and very tender. 3 Sliders for $6.99. There prices seemed to me to be inline with other sporting stores do the same caliber. Very clean store. The staff member operating the cafe was polite and made a slider. On the Saturday before Father's Day it was had to find someone to help. However I have been there during the week, alway easily getting the help needed. read more

They have anything for anyone. The environment is nice, the store is very clean, and the staff is friendly. Having said that they are very expensive for most items as they have a lot of overhead. There are fun little game areas to enjoy and they do have a lot of variety. The staff seem quite knowledgeable in the areas they specialize in. My kids love going to Scheels, how could they not? The giant Ferris wheel in the middle of the building, the fish tanks, the kid play area, the animals, the mini bowling, it's like a wonderland! 10 stars to Brandon!!! I was riding my bike on Wasatch blvd, my chain froze. Brandon stopped immediately and explained he's a bike mechanic at Scheels and asked what the problem was. He repaired my bike and explained in detail what the problem was. He rode next to me for a few minutes to insure everything was working.
