I can see why this place is so influencer friendly! The vibe is super cool and the mixed drinks are delicious. Surprisingly a good wine list for by the glass! They do have some that aren't on the menu for different varietals so make sure you ask if you want something like a Malbec! Overall my dinner was good I got the gluten free crust on the hot honey pizza. I think it could've used more pepperoni and cheese but otherwise it was yummy. The gnocchi is what my friend got and they loved it. Didn't love the steak add on as it was "chewy" I loved the atmosphere and my server was friendly but a little forgetful (we have all been there) just repeating things to reorder it felt like. I think the affogato was the best dessert on the menu. For the overall price it's nice but I would want there to be more gf pasta options. At this point gnocchi is so easily made to be gluten free but there's is not. I specifically asked. So overall I had a good meal but was limited on GF options. Make sure to start with the burrata with pears it was delicious!

Italian food to the next level!! Everything from the service, to the lighting, seating was so awesome. We definitely stayed our welcome because of the cozy atmosphere. Definitely on the pricy side though. Food was spectacular you need to try the Sweet potato agnolotti that was the best dish I have ever had!!

My husband and I had a lovely dinner at Scelto. Service was very friendly, and everything we ordered was excellent. I also liked the atmosphere with different sections, cool art on the walls, and comfortable seating. We'd go back!

Love the ambiance of this place! We got a $21 margarita that wasn't very good and didn't come with salt or lime, the waitress did make sure to bring it back to the bar to get it dressed. Service was quite slow on a Thursday night, it took about 15 minutes for our bruschetta to come out and then another 30+ minutes for the rest of our food. The dishes (scallops, short rib, Chilean sea bass, rigatoni with meatballs) were honestly all pretty good, just pricey for what they are. I really enjoyed the mixed berry panna cotta!

From the delicious appetizers to the entrees and close it out on the dessert, it was amazing. We were a party of 14 and got almost a different dish for everyone we tried each others dishes. The lamb was perfect, short rib melts in your mouth, the scallops were seared to perfection. You get the picture. We enjoyed ourselves. The service was quick and on top of everything but never hanging over us. The room was open and quiet at the same time. It was perfect for our large party. We will be back for another work dinner.

My husband and I were pretty disappointed with our experience. The hostess interaction was awkward from the start, which set an odd tone, and unfortunately the food didn't improve things. We ordered pasta and pizza, and both were just so bland and underwhelming. For the price, we expected much better quality and flavor, especially from a place that presents itself as more upscale. Overall, it didn't live up to the cost or expectations, and we wouldn't return or recommend honestly.

Had my birthday dinner here! Fancy vibes but not outrageously priced. The spaghetti and meatballs are SO delicious. Servers were great.

Cute date night with my bestie. The lights were dim and set a romantic vibe. A great setting to have conversations and not be too close to anyone. I got the buttered noddles with clams, that was on the special for the night. It was tasty and the clams were cooked perfectly. My bestfriend got the Crispy Chicken Carbonara that was also really good too! The service was good. Our waiter was very attentive. Kept checking up on us to make sure we were okay.

Such a great experience having dinner here! From the moment you get to Scelto the vibes are great. Beautiful decor and amazing service! We had a reservation and were seated quickly. Ordered the short rib and the lasagna as they were highly recommended. Both were amazing ! The lasagna is a huge portion and some of the best I've had. Short rib was tender and delicious. Our food came out very quick and served was on top of everything! Will definitely be back

Omg! Hidden gem tucked off the main road. Staff and Service were amazing. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Server promptly informed us of the two specials for the evening. We had a Pear appetizer and a bread and Brea ensemble. Had the blackened lobster fettuccini and it was super flavorful. Portions were great size and we ended up taking some home. Menu selection is not huge, but of the dishes we had they were all good. I especially appreciated some of the creativity they put in some of their dish combos. So many good dishes. If you haven't been here, you should stop by. Great for date night or special occasions. Prices are slightly lower than other fancy restaurants without having to drive all the way downtown. They have some of the best desserts. Ample parking out front. Music was at a reasonable level allowing for great conversations. A/C was on point and comfortable. The interior is highly decorated and so much to look at. I hope you get the opportunity to try this place. It ended up being a great find.

Throughout the years I have heard great things about Mint so for our wedding anniversary my husband and I decided to finally try it out! I am so glad we did. Not only was it nice to skip the hassle of parking downtown but the food was great. Our server was amazing, with it being our first time she gave us a rundown of the menu and highlighted some favorites. The atmosphere of the restaurant was dim and chill. We ordered miso soups, the jalapeño hamachi, the beef tataki, the moonlight roll, and the apollo roll. I also ordered their sparkling sake which was a special and I loved it. The miso soups were delicious and priced well. The jalapeño hamachi is an award winning dish and I can see why. It was SO good. My husband actually saved the vinaigrette to try with other dishes. We also enjoyed the beef tataki, I did feel like it was a little on the chewy side but overall good. We loved the moonlight roll, the flavors and sweetness were good, I did feel like it was missing heat from the spicy tuna. The apollo roll was good, this roll also had spicy tuna and it was definitely hotter. Mint met our expectations and will definitely be a contender for our next sushi date night.

Not a single open table. PACKED. And honestly... now I get it. I'll be real--I went in a little unsure. Most of the reviews are a few years old, and while there are photos posted by the owner, they don't say what anything is (which made ordering a bit of a guessing game). A few things I asked about were actually old specials... which was a little disappointing. BUT--this is where it turned. Our server went out of his way to ask the kitchen if they could recreate a taco salad I saw in one of the photos... and they said yes. Immediate gold star. And when the food came out?? Massive. Like... borderline shocking portions. My taco salad was on a giant Navajo taco base and LOADED--cheesesteak-style meat, fajita onions, peppers, lettuce, tomato, avocado, chipotle dressing, salsa... every bite was so good. And somehow it all stayed in place (which if you've ever fought a falling-apart taco salad, you know matters ). My husband got the fish and chips and I'm usually not a fish and chips girl--but this?? I'd order it myself next time. Flaky, moist fish with the crispiest, lightest batter. So, so good. We finished with cheesecake (raspberry key lime + blueberry sour cream). They were good and fresh, but not quite as wow as the entrees--just wished they were a little creamier and the key lime had more tang. But overall? We walked in unsure... and left already planning what we'd order next time. Safe to say: totally unexpected, totally impressed, and 100% coming back.

I feel like the hostess must have unexpectedly been out because the folks managing seating and reservations seemed a little lost. This was our first time here and I was pretty concerned about what the rest of our experience would be. We got to our table and then sat there for 10 minutes without any kind of greeting. Following the disorganization of getting seated, we weren't sure what was happening and almost left. I'm so glad we stayed. Once our server greeted us, it was smooth the rest of the evening. We ordered drinks (Old Fashioned and wine), both were excellent. Someone brought delicious soft rolls with olive oil and balsamic vinegar-excellent. We stuck with tapas and the portions were bigger than expected. We had a whole lineup of items we wanted, but filled up after three. We ordered a charcuterie plate that was an off menu special. Iberico and a truffle manchego cheese and a rosemary manchego cheese served with toasted baguette and grapes. It was delicious! We also ordered the Gambas Al ajillo salsa Roja (shrimp in a red sauce) and the Pulpo à la gallega (octopus). The shrimp were incredible. I could have eaten the sauce with a spoon. Okay, I DID eat the sauce with a spoon and then asked for more bread to sop it up. The octopus was a surprise. My husband ordered it and I was prepared to try a small bite. It was fantastic. The octopus was nicely chewy without being rubbery at all. And it was served with potatoes in a thin sauce that tasted like olive oil and paprika and onion. So good. We looked at the desserts and my heart said yes while my full stomach said no. I almost ordered the crème brûlée cake to go, but decided to come back another day. Our server (Zack) was great! I really think something happened with the hostess because the rest of the evening was so smooth. Very interesting interior. My parents had made reservations for an extended family dinner to celebrate some family birthdays. We hadn't seen my brother and sister-in-law for over 3 months, so I was REALLY looking forward to spending the evening with them. The food was good, although my son was disappointed that they didn't have the full charcuterie board that we had ordered back in the summer. My steak was cooked perfectly, but the au gratin potatoes were incredibly unevenly salty. Like so salty in a few spots, I actually nearly gagged. After a few bites, I gave up and left them on the plate. While we were finishing our entrees, our server came and said that she had noticed we brought gifts and told us that we might want to start opening them because they had a party of 25 coming and needed our table. I thought that was rather rude because several of us were still eating. But those who had finished their entrees started opening gifts. And our server is trying to quickly clear the table and knocked over my husband's glass of Coke which spilled onto his lap. She brought out a wet towel for him to use to clean up, but instead of politely handing it to him, she threw it across the table for him to catch. Soon she came back with the check, and I asked her, "Don't we get to have dessert?" To which she replied, "You can if you know what you want or decide really quickly because we have that party of 25 coming." Look, we were not a huge party, but we had seven people and it was a BIRTHDAY celebration. We should be allowed to have enough time to have appetizers, entrees, AND dessert. We should also have time for presents and time to enjoy conversation without repeated reminders of another party who needs the table we are using. The rushed feeling, the spilled drinks, and the repeated reminders of this other party who was coming (because obviously they were more important and we had to get out of the restaurant quickly so they could have our table) ruined the mood and the celebration and left a really bad taste in my mouth. Especially when one of our party mentioned it to the manager and all he said was "I'm sorry, I hope you'll come again." Ha! Not likely. Not after being treated like that. I'm not going to give them an opportunity for a repeat performance of such crappy treatment.

A Tsunami of Flavor in South Jordan…read more If you're ever looking for a meal that's so good it makes you question your life choices (like why you didn't order more), Tsunami in South Jordan, Utah, is the place to go. My taste buds had a wild ride, and frankly, I'm not sure they've recovered yet. Let's start with the gyoza, which was as close to perfection as I've ever seen. These dumplings were practically holding a therapy session on my plate, saying, "It's okay, you don't need to share us." Crispy on the bottom, tender on the top, and served with a dipping sauce that I can only assume was brewed from the tears of angels. Next, we moved on to the sushi, which could only be described as the sushi equivalent of a red carpet event. The roll looked so perfect I almost felt bad eating it... almost. But then, I took a bite, and all those feelings of guilt went out the window. This sushi roll had layers of flavor that unraveled like a plot twist in a telenovela. Now, onto the tempura. You know how sometimes you get tempura and it's just a greasy mess? Not here. The tempura was light, crispy, and had the kind of crunch that makes you feel like you're in a satisfying ASMR video. I felt like a food critic from a fancy magazine as I dipped each piece into the sauce, which was so good I'm convinced it has magical properties. Overall, Tsunami is the kind of place that leaves you full but also slightly panicked because you realize you have to wait until the next visit to experience this level of food-induced happiness again. So, if you find yourself in South Jordan and have an appetite for deliciousness, don't miss out on this culinary wave of awesomeness. Just be prepared to get hooked, because one visit won't be enough! Had it not been for Natasha our experience would have been subpar Tsunami is Lucky to have her.

The habanero sauce is spicy-delicious, with real heat but enough flavor that you keep going back for another bite. The Vegas and Tsunami rolls are crowd-pleasers, and the pork gyozas are a solid starter to share. Service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal, no complaints there. The atmosphere is where I'd push them to level up. The decor is simple and modern, which is fine, but it doesn't create much of a mood, and the dining room gets loud fast. The service was so good that it was too good. They were ready to remove the plate as soon as the last bite went into your mouth. The tables were not too crowded and it's a perfect place to take a date. If I come back to SLC...I will def revisit.
