I was in a bit of a time crunch, but they both made it happen. I wasn't sure what to do with my hair, I had brought 2 accessories with me, and she immediately knew how and what to do with my hair. I was blown away by how gorgeous my hair looked in such a short period of time! I love Dry Bar and can't wait to go back! P.S. someone get a cushion for Jessica's stool or a chair! The woman at the front was lovely and kind, so check-in and check-out were the only bright spots. I arrived with clean, wet hair and had already chosen the products I wanted used. Once I sat down, it was clear my stylist was in a mood. He refused to use any of the products I requested, saying he "doesn't like them," and proceeded to blow dry my hair with zero heat protection. The blowout was rough and he was aggressive with my hair, couldn't get it straight, and it was obvious I was in pain. Wanted to get up and walk out the entire time, and honestly should have. Went home, washed my hair, and redid it myself. Paying $70 for that experience was not okay. I don't write bad reviews often, but felt I had to warn others.

Nicole was very sweet and I showed her a few pictures of inspiration. I liked that she listened to what I wanted, I had mentioned that my hair tends to frizz when I have curls so I'm glad she was able to tame my hair so it didn't at the end. Nicole is very talented and she made the experience so relaxing, and it seemed so easy to make my hair so beautiful.

She started curling my hair. I was nervous that the curling iron was too small but it worked perfectly! She really had a great technique and got my whole head done in one hour. After looking at it, I didn't need my extensions at all. She was so friendly, funny and we chatted the whole time so it didn't feel like an hour. She let me know the style can last for a couple days and how to sleep in it. I am very low maintenance with my hair so it was nice to hear that it lasts more than a day. And it did! Luckily, I picked a very quiet establishment with just soft jazzy versions of the holiday stuff. The many live plants as decor really adds to the spa vibe. Make sure you keep your voices low so as not to disturb other patrons, many of whom are fellow Asians like me. I read on their website about the "Head Spa" that they do, which is kind of a 20/40/60 minute facial but for your scalp. Those chairs are so comfy you will, if you're not careful, fall asleep. Every major service (cut and highlights for me) will include a scalp massage. They block out the overhead lights and you feel like you're floating lying down. I might come back regularly for this alone. I recommend this place for people who have stress headaches. They say they use pure jojoba and help exfoliate your scalp. The total for a long hair cut was $94 and the cost of highlights was $325. You put down $100 deposit with your credit card when you make the appointment and they don't cash it until your service is complete. Make sure you're on time or early (I suggest at least 15 mins) or you will be charged 100% penalty. Parking is limited to behind Lake Ave in "Shoppers Lane." If they run out of spots you can also park at the Trader Joe's (west side of Lake) and just buy something there so you can get validated. It was pricey but well worth it. My stylist advised that I come in every few months for toner rinse to keep the highlights bright since the gray will just come in naturally after that. Don't be afraid to do it! Ask for Adriana.

I have textured hair but I look like I got smacked by a tornado It was $120 for this :( I drove out from west LA because I really trusted this salon but I think... it's time to find a different one or try Reyka again :(
