I found 720 Beauty Bar on Yelp. I needed a local salon to curl my hair for my baby shower. I called and was giving a quote. It was within my budget so I immediately made an appointment. I asked if I could bring my clip-in extensions (for volume) and they said yes. Fast forward to my appointment, I arrived at 8:00am and greeted by Rima. I could tell she opened early for my appointment. I showed her my inspo picture which was all down beach wave curls. I show her my extensions and she said she could add them. She started curling my hair. I was nervous that the curling iron was too small but it worked perfectly! She really had a great technique and got my whole head done in one hour. After looking at it, I didn't need my extensions at all. She was so friendly, funny and we chatted the whole time so it didn't feel like an hour. She let me know the style can last for a couple days and how to sleep in it. I am very low maintenance with my hair so it was nice to hear that it lasts more than a day. And it did! My hair looked amazing, and she took her time perfecting the cut and ensuring my satisfaction. The location is convenient for me: just a few minutes from my home, there is always ample parking, and she is such a sweet person. I have come twice for haircuts and brought my grandmother for root color and cut. This says a lot; I would not take my grandmother to just anyone. I'm so happy I decided to give this place a try. Rima & Carmen are the sweetest most professional sisters ever. I first came in for a simple hair trim and a fringe bang cut and they did such a good job. The hospitality they offer is grade A+, coffee or water as soon as you sit down is offered, I was also given the most delicious slice of berry tart cake. About after 3 weeks from my first visit I decided I would do a random self color correction at home and completely failed lol So I ran to Rima & Carmen the same day and made an appointment for the following morning. Let me tell you they were SO AMAZING! They transformed my patchy hair to even beautiful color... with NO BLEACH!!! and only using a ORGANIC color remover. keep in mind i had jet black box dye on top of already processed hair. I originally walked in here with a completely botched blonde ombré. And they were able to work with it. There was some minor problems that I do want to point out that would be good to improve on , before I give my positives - I had a consultation with Julie (the owner) and we scheduled to have a session together. I arrive day of and they had scheduled wrong day and wrong person. Owner apologized for the assistant And I wanted to have it done so badly I said it was okay and went with a different stylist instead of with Julie . - I was hoping for the dark teal that they did for another client in their Yelp photo . It ended up coming out SUPER bright. It doesn't look bad but not what was agreed upon, you can see the drastic color difference. They might of bought a different brand than original - the teal dye was not washed off my scalp and hair very well. There's still residue - they did not distribute and evenly apply the teal very well. You can see in the photos that there are parts that even still show the blonde. Not only that but, there are multiple sections that are darker and lighter than the rest. It's not an even coverage of color. In person, you can tell the back of my hair is a lighter shade than the front With that in mind, all the staff are very friendly and customer service is not bad. Leslie was very sweet and Julie have great recommendations. I was the only client in and it felt like I was getting more of a personable service. They have a terrific dog named Monroe . I would still recommend this place to my friends and wouldn't mind giving it another chance. *Quality of work and consistency is what needs to be definitely improved and they will be great read more

So I finally decided to leave a review after little over half a year later. I came in wanting to go lighter eventually blonde, prior to experiencing a bad hair job elsewhere with bleach I decided to give this salon a try after seeing "good" reviews. I decided to book an app with Arlene, based on the photos that she had experience with blonde hair. The bleaching process: She told me that without a doubt she can lift my thick healthy light brown with highlighted hair to an ashy blonde. I also needed color correction (mostly on my lower mid back of my head) due to the fact I use to have black hair a year a ago at the time. So she began bleaching those brassy areas first. I have a full head of hair, while she was almost half ways of the bleaching process the back of my hair began to feel warm, at first I thought it was the sunlight shinning in the salon & hitting my head, within seconds my head felt really hot & I told Arlene. She checked the foil & burned her hand as trying to remove the foil, she then begins to spray cold water on my hair & calls Juliet over & they take a look at my hair as I see their confused/ shocked expressions. I asked "what happened?" & Arlene then responded imprecisely that there was a supposedly 'bad chemical reaction', perhaps due to "previous hair dying at others salons", &/or "caused by cheap products they used on my hair" (clearly impossible when I hadn't had my hair done/touched in approx. 3 months). She didn't hesitate to take the blame, without any precautions to check my hair. To this day I've never had any problem with bleaching or having my hair fried, they obviously use cheap products here. Anyway, going back...She also didn't tell me that my hair had got cut short due to frying it with bleach & over processing. She continued to process the rest of my hair, after couple hours of finally progressing my hair, she looked at her phone & said she will not have any time to blow dry my hair since everyone else was clocking out while Arlene & I were the last ones to remain. I mentioned having dinner afterwards with my boyfriend & didn't say much after. She was not very talkative afterwards, so as hair is progressing she sits around the salon while on her phone. Some time after she rinsed my hair & finished off with a blow dry. She said to come back in a month so she can take me more blonde. Arriving home I kept running my fingers through my hair & it felt extremely dry. I then noticed where Arlene had fried my hair. I ended up losing half the length of my long layered hair. I of course then never went back yet still charged me the same as I when I walked in, & was not rewarded with honesty nor a discount by the neither of these girls. I strongly do not recommend getting your hair done by Arlene, much specially if you want to go blonde, nor would I recommend trusting Juliet either. They clearly don't give two damns about their clients hair but rather instead take your money by giving you a horrible hair job. Clients beware, this is a very unprofessional environment! ***UPDATE*** 1 year after this post Juliet decides to reach out & pay me $60 for hair bleach damage she & her friend caused & in addition insisted on me leaving the review for Arlene only (her ex friend who no longer works there cuz she wasn't "paying" her rent). It's been quite a while since I got a not so hot look at this establishment. I hate to do this but I am a firm believer that constructive criticism is critical and helpful in anything. To make a long story short, I came here to get big, sexy, loose curls for a work x-mas party (yes, the way my hair looked that night has bothered me since Dec. 2013, time to get this off my chest). It sounds simple right? I just wanted the young woman (forgot her name but she had blonde highlights and was not Juliet) to tease and curl my hair. She was very friendly and said nice things but when you go to a salon you expect to get what you want or something close to it not just good conversation. When she said "I hope it stays!" i was like that's it she knows she did a terrible job and is hoping it stays "teased". How does a salon not know how to tease someone's hair and curl it? It was such a simple request. Anyway, moving on. I will never step foot in this place again. Sorry ladies, but my hair was flatter than the state of Texas that night and that is unusual as I have super thick, long hair. I could've done a much better job than this. I still tipped because I am polite but I wanted to cry 30 minutes later. I tried to keep curling it at home but it was no use. :( read more

A.R.L.E.N.E. Has Magical Hands! I came here because I had heard SO much about her work and had seen pictures of her work as well. However, there's nothing like seeing things and experiencing them for yourself. I was out of a hair stylist for 6 months now and in search for the next big thing. I reached out to her and immediately was super flexible to try to get me in as soon as possible (that was a huge plus for me). The experience was flawless!
