I scheduled a month ago for my nieces party. Two sisters for hair and makeup and 11:00. One would be getting hair while the other makeup and then switch. I text Liz to ask if they can add my sister at 10:00 for hair and makeup and she confirmed yes. I have all the proof on my text. Then a few days before I asked if they could do my hair at 9:30 no makeup and they were nice enough to accommodate me (or so I thought) fast forward to day of our big event. Yes I was running late and they moved it down that was my fault. But when my sister got there at 10:00 they started asking for one of my nieces saying one of them was suppose to be at 10:15. My sister called me on speaker and Liz was very rude and unprofessional. She totally made my sister feel so uncomfortable on a very important day for her and her daughters. It made me so upset that the start of their big day was ruined by how rude they were being treated and how Liz was yelling at me on the phone. I sent screenshots to my sister so she can show them proof of all our conversations. Liz dismissed it still blaming me. I told my sister here is the text she sent me with prices because I have a feeling she's going to try to charge you more. Sure enough my sister said she tried to charge her more. Upon seeing my nieces to get them in their quinceñera dress I could not believe the makeup that was done on them. I could have done a better job. They slapped sloppy glitter on top of their eyelids and put on cheap eyelashes. Their makeup looked lfar from special and the girls were so disappointed they almost cried. This "beauty bar" is not for a special occasion! Avoid at all cost. You will be disappointed. The makeup artist is nicer than Liz that's for sure but does not do quality work. Pay more for makeup because a cheap price comes with cheap makeup and hair . Update! The business intended to clarify but they are wrong. I utilize the services of Julie, who is very attentive to detail and your personal skin care needs - this is your go to person. For my facials, I let her take the lead and go with what she feels my skin needs. I have never had any issues from the products used and I have always been satisfied with the outcome. I'm not going to lie, the extractions hurt but they're necessary so just grit your teeth and the process will be over before you know it. This spa is located in a plaza with a very ample parking lot. It is monitored so make sure you pay for your parking (I believe the first 30 or 90 mins are free...forgot the deets on that) or you will come back to a ticket. I asked for a Brazilian Blowout, to turn me into a brunette (was blonde), and a haircut. She immediately booked me for that evening. If there's one thing you should know about me while reading this review, it's that I trust almost no one when it comes to my vanity... but Julie has been my designated esthetician for over 10 years now. I will always follow this girl no matter where she goes and how far the distance is. Let me just say Julie is the extraction QUEEN! Ohmygosh. I just came in for my first facial today after almost 3-4 months and my skin has been exceptionally bad with breakouts and blackheads lately but Julie knows to do an AMAZINGGGG facial! She's dealt with the years of stubborn acne that I struggle with and has even recommended me great products. On top of facials, she also is the only one who is really allowed to touch my eyebrows. She does such a great wax and I am always complimented on my brows just about anywhere I go. Something about the vibe of the salon and Liz herself made me feel comfortable even though it was my first time there. I decided to talk to Liz about starting my hair health journey. I have played around with my hair between purple and blue hair to impromptu short cut and bangs. Needless to say my hair has been through a lot. My last cut was 6 months ago and I've had untouched highlights for about the same time. I was majorly due for a touch up. I even talked to Liz about going darker as I feel my hair had just gotten too light for me. She quickly mentioned doing a cut no more than 1 1/2 inches and a tone. She brought out the tone boom to reference color and what I'm looking for. She went into detail of how my hair health journey is going to look and what it will entail. I agreed to the cut and tone. By 5:45pm I was out with a new routine, a tone, cut, blowdry and style. My hair already looks healthier and shiny with new found bounce. I saw Becky today after seeing a Groupon. I didn't purchase the Groupon since after contacting her she said the service I wanted was not a Groupon price. I have dark brown hair and I wanted to go to a black cherry color. She asked me via text if I had my hair colored and I told her 2-3times that I didn't. I went ahead and still booked her given her reviews. My appointment was for a later time but since I had time, I told her that if she could do it, I could come in earlier. She agreed. The first 20 minutes of the visit was her asking me whether I had color in my hair and her explaining the color process. I appreciated the latter but her asking multiple times if I had color in my hair after I had told her more than 3times was a bit too much. I understand that she doesn't want to waste her time, but given that she also said that if the color didn't lift she would still have to charge me. . . Well just go ahead and do it. It's now the clients' responsibility if they are honest or dishonest. In my case, I wasn't lying. Again, I do appreciate her going over the color process and her explaining what we could possibly achieve. She is great at color, however, I wasn't too thrilled about the fact that because she had another client coming in, it felt very rushed. After the 30 minutes of my hair processing, she washed my hair. She proceeded to make more dye for the highlights, and in the meanwhile she asked me to start drying my hair. Even she said it was a bit rude. I told her I didn't mind her taking her time even if her other client came in, I could wait. Anyway, while her other client processed, she now dried by hair.
