Cathy and her team were amazing!…read more From the very start Cathy was very prompt with her correspondence and always happy to answer any question or concern that I had. Her services worked well in our budget and I was thrilled to book her. I did my hair and makeup trial at her home studio and she was so hospitable and offered bottled water to my MOH and I. I enjoyed how she described all the products she used and why. Unfortunately, at the end of the day my greasy/oily skin won supreme and I found myself blotting constantly and always feeling so shiny. Also, although I really liked my hair and it looked like the picture example I showed her... there was something missing that kept me from LOVING it. I shared all my concerns with Cathy and right away she assured me that these worries would be taken care of the day of the wedding. She blew me away! The makeup she applied was flawless! She used different high quality products for oily skin that gave me a matte finish but not leave me feeling cakey. I only had to blot twice from the time of application until the end of the night (10 hours!). For my hair, she took my initial hairstyle that I liked... and added extra texture to the front and side of my head. The extra pinned curls really elevated my hairstyle and the application of fresh flowers from my florist made it everything I ever wanted for my wedding hair. Thank you Cathy for making me feel so beautiful on the biggest day of my life!

A few month ago, I hired Cathy as my hair and makeup artist for my first photo shoot. I have to say…read moreCathy was very professional, came to my place on time and I really thought she did an excellent job! Fast forward a few month later, I reached out to Cathy again to book her for another session for a photo shoot. But second time around, I did not get a good vibe from her. When I reached out to her, she told me at first she was pretty sure she was free for my hair/makeup, only to text me later saying she's booked. I asked if she has other dates that are free, as I am very willing to work with her schedule. She said she's completely booked. I called her several times, sent her messages asking her other available times, left messages, none was returned. I even asked if she can refer me to someone else....but she never got back to me..completely ignored me. She honestly could care less about my business. In fact, if you check her website, the website says "As of 8/1/2017, Cathy is completely booked for the reminder of 2017". Are you serious?! From what I can gather, I wonder if it is because the makeup is only for me, rather than for a large party, probably not worthwhile for her to come out on a Sunday morning, not even for a repeat customer....what a shame... That two star is for her previous work..and zero star for this recent encounter.

Let me start by saying that I had a wonderful experience with Claudia! Not only was she kind,…read moreprofessional, and very fun to talk to, her make-up and hair was brilliant!! I had a proper three day Indian wedding in Goa, India and I had the pleasure of having Claudia do my make up and hair for all three days and 5 different events. First of all, Goa is incredibly hot and humid, like you have never experienced this kind of heat hot. Secondly, most of out events were outdoors, and as it is an Indian wedding, involved a lot of dancing and jumping around. Lastly, my hair is incredibly curly/frizzy and looks a little scary with high humidity. On top of this, I have incredibly sensitive skin and tend to get random redness, rashes, and discomfort (especially in high heat). I am not sure what Claudia did, but every single event, my hair and make-up looked flawless! I had no messy frizziness and all of my updos stayed for 7+ hours through sweating, dancing, drinking, and wearing what I can only describe as the heaviest skirts ever. My wedding day look remained intact through 6 am (we had a giant reception and an afterparty). I even slept with my updo and the next morning it still stayed intact and my flowers were still all in my bun! My make up looked so natural but gorgeous at the same time. I do not like the heavy make-up look so I wanted something that highlighted my features but did not make me look like a completely different person. I should say that I did something risky and never did a wedding make-up trial. This was mainly due to me living in the US and Claudia being in India. We had very limited time to meet, so by the time we flew over for our wedding, we only had a few days before the event. My first make-up and hair was for a welcome party event, and it was also my first time with Claudia! Oddly enough, it has become one of my most favorite looks! I cannot recommend Claudia enough. A few of my friends have already asked for her information for their upcoming weddings. I would gladly use her again if I have an event in the future.

We should have left when I noticed that we were the only ones there! One other person showed up, but she left after waiting for awhile for the event to start. We listened to several people speak about: how to color a picture/apply make-up and eyebrows. The eyebrow person wanted to "fix" my eyebrows and I ended up with shaved eyebrows that I never asked for. I guess there was a communication issue... I guess. I said I was okay with her doing my eyebrows, but I NEVER consented to her shaving them. It's been almost a month now since that horrible incident, and my eyebrows haven't grown back in yet, only a few hairs here and there. Now I have to spend extra time in the AM getting ready for work just to deal with doing my eyebrows. What a nightmare!! Thank goodness I saved my daughter from the same nightmare. That eyebrow person was about to shave off a little of her eyebrow also!! WTH!!! Can you imagine what that would have been like dealing with a teenager and a shaved eyebrow?!?! I got an email from Josephine (owner of the shop), but no solution so far on my brows. I did get a free appointment to have my eyelashes done, but I'm afraid to go in case I lose those also. My daughter said I shouldn't go, even if it's free lash extensions. I think she's right......
