I completed a few visits before writing this review because I wanted to make sure my amazing experiences weren't flukes!! But now after doing 3 scalp spa treatments, a massage and 1 blow out, I can very confidently say that Scalp Sanctuary is worth every minute and dollar you spend here. The staff is incredible (thank you Capri, Cassandra and Alex!) and the space truly is a sanctuary. The decor is to minimal and calming - and gorgeous. The treatment rooms are so beautiful, the whole world disappears once you step inside. I have very dry scalp issues and have noticed a huge improvement since starting to go to Scalp Sanctuary regularly (I just dropped my DryBar membership and joined SS's!). If you're on the fence about trying this spa out, don't hesitate to book your service! You will be so happy you did. read more

OMG MUCH needed TLC and I would highly recommend this place. The 60 minute head spa treatment is $139 and it may seem hefty but this place is so different from any "Asian hair spa" because you actually get your own private room, you don't hear anyone else except the music and I swear to God I almost fell asleep. It is so relaxing, you get the care you need for your scalp and the ladies there are so helpful and nice. I love it! There's free parking next door so you don't have to worry about getting there too early but it is next to a popular brunch place. read more

I wanted to leave an honest review about my experience here. My sister-in-law gifted me a $150 gift card for a head spa treatment at this place. As a first-time mom, it took me a while to finally make time for myself, so I was really looking forward to this experience after reading so many positive reviews. I arrived 15 minutes early as suggested so I could relax before my appointment. My appointment was scheduled for 11:15 AM, but I was not called in until around 11:35 AM. Since it was my first visit, I was expecting a bit more guidance and explanation throughout the process. During the treatment, I received a scalp analysis at the beginning, but I was a little disappointed that there was no post-treatment scalp check afterward to compare the results or see any difference. The massage itself was great and relaxing, but I also felt uncomfortable at times because the eye mask and the water used while washing my hair felt too hot occasionally. At checkout, I felt confused about the charges because the receptionist was chatting with coworkers and handling a DoorDash order while assisting me, so the deposit and final charges were not clearly explained to me. I ended up just paying and leaving because I did not feel like I had her full attention, and I decided it would be better to email afterward for clarification. Thankfully, the owner was very kind, responded to my email promptly, clarified the issue, and offered to refund the mistaken charge. I really appreciated how professionally the owner handled the situation. Overall, while there were parts of the experience I enjoyed, especially the massage and the owner's customer service afterward, the visit itself did not fully meet the expectations I had going in. read more

Had been wanting to try my very first head spa and so happy I finally made it happen. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a smile and got led to the back lounge area where I was given the option of tea,water or Rose. I opted for the glass of rose and was able to relax in space until Cassandra came to get me. Cassandra was phenomenal and gave off such calm energy throughout service. She did an excellent job explaining everything first and then came treatment. So relaxing and i personally loved all the smells of shampoos. I ended up purchasing one shampoo because loved the cleansing tingly sensation. I did the 90 minute treatment which I feel was the perfect amount because service flew by. My only regret is not using their complimentary fuzzy socks because my feet got cold towards the end but that was my fault. I also decided to book the blow out after which Cassandra also helped me with. The blowout was amazing and my hair came out better than any blow dry bar I've been to. When I walked in I was greeted by 2 lovely smiling ladies who work at SS. The hostess was friendly as was the other lady who I learned was one of the treatment providers. After checking in, customers can wait in the lounge area where there are floor cushions for seating, hot tea, water, and a restroom. The space was calm and clean. Although it is a comfortable space, it can be challenging to get up and down from the ground for some. There are no chairs in this area, only floor cushions. It is a co-ed space and most people will be on their devices waiting. The blowout area is also shared and located at the front of the shop where check-in and the front door are located. The area is visible to people who pass by on the street. The treatment rooms are private, allowing you peace and quiet with just you and your provider. I had a 60-minute head spa treatment. Since this was my first time, I had a lot of questions. I was there 2 hours in total from the time I checked in (30 minutes early) until my service was complete. The service should have included a rough blow dry. I sat in the chair and had a toner sprayed into my hair, but no blow dry. I'm guessing this was because we were running behind schedule and I'd been there a while already beyond my 60 minutes. My provider was very friendly and pleasant. I think she did an excellent job providing the scalp treatment. Based on some awkward exchanges we had, I could tell she was young and she thought I was old. I'm just going to have to laugh about this with my friends. Parking is available in a lot attached to the strip mall, but if it's filled, there is street parking nearby. read more

She greeted me and asked me to choose two essential oils for my scalp massage. She then took me into my own private room for the scalp spa. Received a 60 minute scalp treatment and massage as a gift for my birthday. I was very excited to try it since it has such amazing reviews. Pros: The place is very nice, inviting and relaxing The staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful Upon arrival I got a warm tea and cute socks to get into and keep They provide a warm blanket and cozy atmosphere to relax while you get your treatment The young lady doing my treatment was very gentle and soothing and did a wonderful job with the scalp massage Cons: The eye mask, which warms up on its own is not very comfortable- at some point it felt like it was just too hot but I wanted to get the full experience and decided to stay with it - I'm not sure it's for everyone and I would say "no thanks" next time. The chair recliner is not the best either. I wanted to relax and there were several moments when I could have fallen asleep but the chair was just not comfortable since your legs sort of lay low while your back is leaning back so your head is in the right position to get washed and massaged. It wasn't anything the masseuse doing the treatment could control though. She did provide a pillow for my legs but the chair felt to not be meant for the kind of relaxing that's intended. The products used feel high quality but are just too perfumed for my taste and I think I would have liked something more earthy. Again, I didn't pay for this since it was a gift so O appreciate the experience, but I know it's not cheap and I'm not sure I'd try it again just for myself. read more

I booked the "Advanced Scalp Renewal 60-Min Scalp" treatment during my school break with Alex Robles -- I love her so much that I actually followed her from the hair salon she works at to Scalp Sanctuary! I can honestly say it was one of the most relaxing and rejuvenating treatments I've ever had. When I first arrived, I felt a little overwhelmed by how large the space is and wasn't sure how to navigate it, but the receptionist (I wish I could remember her name!) was super friendly and immediately put me at ease. I was brought to the back, given some cozy socks and a glass of water, and settled in while Alex prepared for the session. The treatment started with a calming scalp assessment and the most soothing essential oils, which instantly helped me unwind. The pre-treatment relaxation -- complete with a heated eye mask and micromist -- was chef's kiss. I could literally feel the stress melting away before the actual treatment even began. Once Alex started the scalp cleanse and massage with jojoba oil, I was in absolute heaven. Her technique is the perfect balance of gentle yet deeply effective, and I could feel my scalp and tension responding almost immediately. After you check in, you're brought into the meditation room in the back, given tea, fluffy socks, and your choice of an essential oil. It was such a nice touch before the experience. The head spa itself was incredible. After dressing in the robe and laying down, they give you a warm blanket and a heated eye mask. My friend and I came here for her birthday and overall, we very much enjoyed the experience. When you arrive, they lead you to the back lounge and offer you champagne, tea, or water. We opted for champagne since we were feeling festive but the tea options also looked tasty. They also provide warm fuzzy socks for you to wear during your experience. Once they bring you into your room, it is cozy and dark, and the professional uses a camera to look closely at your scalp and show you the condition of it. They then wet your hair and begin a series of masks, massages, and some sort of heat lamp thing? It was very relaxing and my scalp felt very fresh afterward. My only minor complaint was that the "rough blow dry" is basically 30 seconds of blow drying and they don't brush your hair after they blow it dry. I have very thick hair so this did very little to dry my hair and I looked like a mad woman when I left since I didn't think to bring my own brush. Don't plan on going somewhere after this unless you pay for the blowout or bring your own brush. read more

The decor is soothing and minimal, stone greys and beiges, feeling very organic. You arrive and are taken to the back mediation room where you are given some warm fuzzy socks to wear, poured some delicious tea (try the rose) and can sit and wait before your treatment. Here id suggest you take a moment to put away your phone and peruse the books. There are some lovely easy books with thoughtful quotes that help to destress and keep you mindful and focused on yourself. Next you're given a choice of different aromatherapy oils for the treatment and are taken to one of the rooms where you should remove your top part of your clothing, (they have a towel wrap to wear) and necklaces (as you get a neck massage as well) and lie of a comfy bed with your head resting. In hairdressers this part is always acutely uncomfortable, here it is designed for comfort and never once did my neck hurt. Depending on your treatment, it begins... for me it involved an examination of my scalp, a massage, which was so so so good, shampoo, conditioner and a relaxing cascading waterfall over your scalp. After that you're taken to the front for a blow out. My thoughts... I would definitely return, it's a special treat to give to yourself and if you need a blow out then definitely why not treat yourself before hand?
