Phenomenal food! We searched for "Italian food," and this restaurant stood out with great reviews. Even though it was out of the way, I decided to make the drive and I'm so glad I did. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. They were also running a promotion where proceeds from our order were donated to the YMCA, which was a wonderful bonus. Everything we ate was absolutely amazing. I will definitely be back. This is the best Italian food I've ever had!

Very nice restaurant. Service was excellent and accommodations on the front porch were top shelf. Great effective heaters for outside. Fried mozzarella was great, garlic bread was great, sauce was extraordinary!! Tiramisu was also extraordinary! Entrees could have been better. Veal parm was not very good. Veal was somewhat rubbery. Chicken parm was so so as well. I had the lasagna. My sense is we would return for the service and for the appetizers or try different entrees. Once again, the people were great and that sauce was divine!!

2 of the 3 risotto balls. I was too anxious to taste these before taking a picture.

Arrived just before 5 PM on a Tuesday and there was already a line forming, always a good sign! We didn't have reservations, but many around us did, so plan ahead if you're coming during peak hours. We asked to be seated at a high-top table and the service was fantastic from start to finish. Happy hour is only available at the bar and high top tables. We started with the mozzarella sticks, and I was genuinely impressed by the red sauce, bright, flavorful, and clearly house-made. Then came the pasta tasting with meat sauce, which was hearty enough to be a full meal after sharing the appetizer. We also tried the risotto balls, massive and delicious, with a crispy exterior and creamy center. As if we hadn't indulged enough, we went for the Neapolitan pizza. The sauce and fresh mozzarella were excellent, but the dough was underdone and a bit too chewy for our taste. That was the only miss of the night. Still, we're already planning to come back for a full dinner experience. The vibe, the flavors, and the service were all on point. Can't wait to explore more of the menu next time!

Highly recommend! We went there on pasta night, we had spaghetti, rigatoni and bolognese dishes which were all delicious. Portions are generous and tasty. We shared the chocolate cake, again a generous size easily feeds two saw one table share with four. Our server was attentive and congenial.

Such a beautiful space! Staff, service, food, wine selection, all superb. Looking forward to many fantastic meals.

My family loves Sazio! We went with a large party and they were very accommodating. We got sat in front of the pizza oven but they helped us shift our table so it wouldn't be so loud/hot. The crudite at the start of the meal is a lovely touch. We all enjoyed pasta and salad, and my parents tell me the pizza is excellent. It's very "Italian summer" vibes with beautiful design/decoration. My partner and I sat at the bar for happy hour a couple weeks later and enjoyed tortellini for $11 and a new stuffed pepper dish that were both amazing!!

If you're looking for basic and bland, this is the spot for you. I was extremely underwhelmed by the food from the raw veggies and dip to my entree. The other guests that I was with were not impressed either. Our Italian bread loaf was stale and was served with a minimal serving of butter-- barely even filled to the halfway point. Granted, they did provide more when we asked. Our drinks were totally different even though we asked for the same drink: the pink lady. We had them sent back: they did provide us with Proseccos as replacements. Our friends had the mussels which they stated was mediocre at best with a simple tomato sauce and a slice of bread for dipping. They mentioned it would have been nice to have more sauce. I had the Shrimp Fra Diavolo-- the first time it came out, it was luke warm. The manager came and the dish was remade-- I could see steam this time-- hooray. The sauce was tomato and strong on the parsley.. Perhaps some room for improvement all around.

Came here for dinner tonight as I was intrigued that online they had a special menu for people with food allergies: Gluten, fish and nuts. I was excited to try this new to me spot. When we got there we got the menus and I did not see the allergen friendly menu. I have alot of food allergies. But I ordered the chicken Milanese which they could not do as the fried part would interfere with the fish and seafood they had which is fine. They were very nice about it and I got a grilled chicken with potatoes and arugula salad. The potatoes were delicious and chicken was good too. The not so great part about our visit was a few things. Our drink the pink lady tasted like sour lemons and they were like half a cocktail. We then proceeded to order a glass of Prosecco and that too had a weird aftertaste. It took a bit of time to get our drinks too. My friends pasta came out cold the first time and so she sent it back and it came out hot the second go around. But she said that it still was not that tasty. Our bread we got for the table the baguette tasted a tad stale. And we got very little butter with it. It. It was not regular butter but it seemed to have some garlic or something in it. All in all, not a great first impression of this restaurant.

Now we know why it's tough to get a seat; this is quality dining that brings customers back again and again. Ben and Diane (mixologist/hostess respectively) have been the owners for two years. I can't make any judgement about the prior ownership but I can say the current owners have nailed it. It was one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time. We sat at the bar and from the outset Ben made us feel comfortable and he obviously appreciated us as customers. The cocktails were exceptionally prepared. It's obvious he is not merely a bartender and is proud of the special attention and customized twists given to some very traditional cocktails--Sazerac, Manhattan, cosmo. The cream based crab soup was hearty and the seasoning was well balanced. It was a great start. My partner had the fish special and I had the short ribs as entrees. Both were spectacular. Ben had told us that "if this were going to be your last meal, have the short ribs." It wasn't our last meal but his assessment was accurate. I can't recall having short ribs that just seem to melt in your mouth. We were going to defer on dessert but opted for a variation of a flourless chocolate cake with caramel topping. Served warm it was the perfect end to a perfect meal. It's obvious that Ben and Diane have assembled a team that is as committed to excellence as are the owners. We've already made reservations or our next visit. Can't wait!

Lets begin with the atmosphere because it was delightful. Its a small, intimate space where the spirit of a speakeasy shines through easily. The exposed ductwork, the classy yet eclectic decor, it is a delightful little space. Service was great. Fast, funny, and polite through the entire meal. We went for drinks and apps and I gotta say we will be coming back for dinner for sure me and my wife. How about the food and drink? Well, any of y'all who follow me know I'm not a huge drinker, but I did try the Oolong Hot Toddy and was extremely happy! Warm, the sochu and tea mix so well together, a nice garnish of candied ginger and lemon makes the presentation of this delightful little libation. (Ha, a pun!) Now, the food. Cheese board was great but, thats cheese anyone can assemble a cheese board. No, my credit goes to the crab dip and the calamari. Both dishes were done perfectly, not too greasy, beautifully crunchy calamari and supremely flavorful crab dip. Overall an easy 5, I'd rate 6 if I could.

Make reservations as this is a small space. Very comfortable seating. Lots of decor that again fits the space. Great music playing as well. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and then escorted back into the speakeasy which has its own door. Once inside, we were greeted and introduced to the two servers who worked together all evening. They were very attentive and friendly. They made the visit enjoyable. The menu lights up... literally. Super fun to pick from the numerous drink and food options. For a speakeasy, you will be surprised at how many different options there are. The prices are beyond reasonable for the craft cocktails and amazing food. Started off with cocktails (first round) - Veruca Salt (highly recommend due to its spicy foam & deliciousness), Purple Butterfly (yum), The Ultimate Dirty Martini (very pungent), and The Smoked Cherry (nice presentation/event - also tasty). All of these were delicious and made well. Second round was The Night Shift and a Brown Butter Old Fashioned and again, both delightful. Dessert round was Creme Brûlée Espresso Martini (highly recommend - great presentation with a small mallet that cracks the brûlée on top & absolutely amazing - this is a sweet drink so loom as a dessert option), Espresso Martini (hazelnut flavor and good), and a Carijilo. All items from the bar were super tasty and well made. This is a craft drink place and the quality and attention to details are spot on for the speakeasy vibe. Not only are the drinks superb, but the food is also very well made and very affordable. We started with the cheese tower which is a great option for a group to enjoy. We also ordered the calamari which came with the most delicious horseradish dipping sauce, and lamb lollipops (4 per order). All of this was delicious. Then, tried the seafood bisque, French onion soup, Pumpkin/Crab/Mushroom Soup, and Seared Sea Scallops. The soups were super filling and all had a terrific flavor profile. The scallops were served on risotto and this was great. Seriously, the food is amazing. Not what you normally would find in a speakeasy. They even had dessert options (we had drinks instead). This was a lovely experience. Just overall fantastic and a great surprise hidden in a beach town. For sure make reservations. If visiting for the week, just go ahead and pick two nights to visit so you can try all of the things. Well done. Looking forward to another visit.

But, when it arrives without ginseng slivers, nor a spoon for dripping the dark vinegar into the removed top knot to mix with the beef soup within the Xiao Long Bau, it becomes apparent skill is lacking in the kitchen. It doesn't help that these dough pouches are commercially bought and not made by knowing hands. The Singapore Black Pepper Crab bowl was sure Szechuan spicy enough, but had so little crab that my crustacean loving wife turned on her phone flashlight to find some. They were ground so small that they were nearly invisible, but could be slightly tasted by their mild sweetness. Just not enough substance to balance the other ingredients. My Cumin Lamb Ho Fun was likewise deep into the heat and looked good with the fat noodles mixed throughout. However, once again the kitchen's lack of deftness appeared with too many tough, stringy and fatty pieces of lamb that were unpleasant and overbore the generally decent quality of the rest of the dish. From my experience, that only happens when attention isn't paid to the texture of the meat when slicing. Cutting lamb against the grain is a no-no. So, even though I enjoyed the Moon Door entrance, the Bodhi (Enlightenment) name and all the on point Asian decor, it was disappointing that all that spirituality stopped at the kitchen door. 2.5 Shakyamuni-less Stars.
