We tried one of there off season special nights; it was pretty good especially for the price. I believe our group also thought it was a good evening out. I started with mozzarella sticks, tasty, others had the mini meatballs and someone had the wedding soup. Entrees were a little hit and miss. I had the veal piccata over pasta, it was acceptable. Someone had it and found it tough . Dessert I went with the tiramisu. It was a 3 course dinner with wine for a set price (it was more like an Italian night menu from the choices they had ). We will try another night before the season specials are over.

We came to Blue Moon this weekend on a recommendation from a friend. We originally had plans to eat at another place but it was unexpectedly closed. We easily gott a Blue Moon reservation about 90 min before we arrived. We arrived about 15 min early and they were able to accommodate us and seat us at that time. We were seated on the porch which I thought would be fun to people watch (of course it never stopped pouring so there wasn't much to watch). The table itself was very bizarro. It was 2 tables pushed together and could seat 4-5 people even tho there were only of us. Our second table was only about 4" from the next party. I was trapped into my seat with no way to get out unless a server would move the table for me. Luckily I did not have to use the bathroom. When I inquired about the odd set up the server told me I could use the other table to put any plates I wanted on there. We ordered the fried green tomatoes which we enjoyed. I got the lobster risotto - it was very good. It was not what I expected. The risotto was buttery instead of creamy but it still tasted good. My bf ate the lamb chops which he enjoyed. We both loved the bread and butter - which was flavored w honey and parsley. One thing that was strange - there was a walkway with a shelf behind my bf's seat. The servers kept reaching over my bf's shoulder to bring things to the table instead of walking the 3 extra steps to stand table side. While we were eating I could hear singing coming from the lounge. After we were done we headed into that lounge. And we had the most enjoyable show!! Autumn Schneider performed an hour long show singing numbers from Broadway shows and telling us about her history performing Broadway. She was extraordinary and we wished we had moved in sooner to see the start of her show. She is a real talent and I give her 5 stars! Will def be back this summer to see her!

Great experience! The food was delicious and service was attentive and quick. Ambiance was lovely, not too loud. The restaurant had a show going on but we were seated in the separate main dining area so if the show is not your thing and you prefer a more intimate setting you can choose the quiet area. I highly recommend getting the fried green tomatoes, whether as a starter by itself or as a side as part of the vegetarian entree.

Enjoyed the Tasting Tuesday menu consisting of a 3 course menu paired with wines for only $49. The fried green tomatoes were outstanding. Enjoyed the stuffed shrimp too. The dessert was a mango cheesecake. Enjoyed the wines selected by the server. She was very nice and attentive too! Sat by window, so nice atmosphere!

If you're looking for great food & great ambience, this is the place for you. On the food side, we started with the roasted oysters appetizer. It was absolutely amazing. So flavorful! For my entree, I had the shrimp stuffed with crabmeat. Wonderfully rich & so tasty. With asparagus included as a side. For my husband's entree, he had the short rib stroganoff. Delicious as well--I had several bites. We loved the setting as well. The restaurant is located in a grand old house that has class written all over it. We also appreciated that the tables weren't crammed together but were spaced out so we weren't too close to other people. Service was excellent as well. Our waitress was very attentive & very pleasant.

Celebrating our wedding anniversary was such a great experience at the. Blue Moon! We sat in the "front porch" at a table in front of a window; such a cozy setting! Our server, Jessica, was wonderful and helped us narrow down our choices from the delicious menu; her service, personality and humor were wonderful! The food was amazing. The fried green tomato appetizer was confirmed by Jessica as one of the most popular and it was terrific: crispy perfect outside, firm and tasty tomato inside with the savory flavor of the herbed cheese and sweet tender onion jam all coming together beautifully. The stuffed shrimp entree was cooked perfectly with lots of crab stuffing, the creamiest whipped potatoes and smooth beurre blanc, finished with lovely firm asparagus spears. We were so full, but couldn't resist dessert after finding everything else so delicious...so the strawberry tart was fantastic! The berries were sweet and firm, the pastry base was just thick enough to provide structure and had a lovely vanilla flavor, with super smooth sweet creamy custard inside. I live in Virginia and hadn't been to Rehoboth for 40 years, but the Blue Moon will bring me back again after that meal! (We also met a couple at an adjacent table who have been coming to this restaurant every year for over 30 years...they live in Texas!) Thank you Blue Moon for a very memorable dinner!

Make reservations!!! Try to get the main dining room- it's a bit quieter than the back room, which gets sone energy from the bar and/or the drag show. The service? Excellent. Bright friendly. Knowledgeable servers every time! The food? Amazing. Truly. Literally everything we've gotten both main courses and sides of been amazing. My partner had the duck breast which was excellent and succulent. I had the chicken pot pie survey because the server thought it was particularly good. And it was great, and hearty. our apps were excellent crawfish egg rolls; the fried green tomatoes were perfectly cooked- not too soft, not too hard! Prices are 20% above the beach average and worth every penny- especially when compared to that seafood restaurant on Rehoboth Avenue.... :)

Relaxed evening spot in downtown Rehoboth with a welcoming vibe. We happened to arrive during a live music performance, which was a lovely surprise. We came to Blue Moon with one thing in mind: the Bombe! A local favorite for 40 years, this monster ice cream layer cake is worth the $20 for the quality ice cream, meringue and chocolate (and the experience!) The dessert coffees were a miss, however. Tasted more like a haphazard mixture of syrups than a soothing coffee to close out a meal. Overall, Blue Moon gets a solid 4/5 for its dessert menu!

I asked AI what restaurants were open for Sunday dinner within .75 miles of the Avenue Inn hotel. It listed 4 including this one. What a find! Thank you AI. We had a delicious meal with some great Sunday specials - a $29 filet mignon dinner and a $29 bottle of wine! We even shared a salad (surprisingly tasty, even for someone who isn't a salad fan!). My husband raved about the seafood pasta, calling it one of the best dishes he's ever had. Top it all off with wonderful and informative service from our waitress Kat, and this place is a definite must-do on our trip to Rehoboth next year!

My only regret from my visit to Blue Moon was not taking a representative picture of the food. Came across that Tuesday night is bingo with Sister Dot at 8 PM. Free with food purchase. Winners get entered into a gift card raffle at the end of the month (do not need to be present). 10/10. I'm not sure if they always have this but there was a Tuesday tasting menu. $49 for 3 courses plus wine pairings. Yes, absolute killer deal. First course I had the salmon tartar. Really fresh and nice balance of flavors. Second course I had the scallops over corn cooked in bacon (not sure if there is a better name for it). THIS WAS THE BEST DISH I HAD DURING MY 5 DAYS IN REHOBOTH. Scallops cooked perfectly and that corn. Tariq, the viral corn kid, would have been singing praise - so good I considered going back a second time but they are closed on Wednesdays. Then had Crème Brûlée for dessert. Honestly, just okay. I like my brûlée a little crunchier. Overall, excellent food and great service. I would definitely come back on a future visit to Rehoboth.

A beautifully presented plate of lamb with the ratatouille underneath. I might have been tempted to lick the plate.

Thereafter, the food on the "Asian Fusion" menu sounds great, but leaves much to be desired. More confusion, than fusion. Dumpling Special is a cool notion (why not save a few bucks?). But, when it arrives without ginseng slivers, nor a spoon for dripping the dark vinegar into the removed top knot to mix with the beef soup within the Xiao Long Bau, it becomes apparent skill is lacking in the kitchen. It doesn't help that these dough pouches are commercially bought and not made by knowing hands. The Singapore Black Pepper Crab bowl was sure Szechuan spicy enough, but had so little crab that my crustacean loving wife turned on her phone flashlight to find some. They were ground so small that they were nearly invisible, but could be slightly tasted by their mild sweetness. Just not enough substance to balance the other ingredients. My Cumin Lamb Ho Fun was likewise deep into the heat and looked good with the fat noodles mixed throughout. However, once again the kitchen's lack of deftness appeared with too many tough, stringy and fatty pieces of lamb that were unpleasant and overbore the generally decent quality of the rest of the dish. From my experience, that only happens when attention isn't paid to the texture of the meat when slicing. Cutting lamb against the grain is a no-no. So, even though I enjoyed the Moon Door entrance, the Bodhi (Enlightenment) name and all the on point Asian decor, it was disappointing that all that spirituality stopped at the kitchen door. 2.5 Shakyamuni-less Stars.

"Can you show me the shine of your Japan? The sparkle of…read moreyour China, can you show me? Bodhisattva, Bodhisattva" (Steely Dan) Bodhi Kitchen is an absolutely beautiful Asian restaurant in downtown Rehoboth Beach where you'll find their menu dotted with delicacies from Thailand, Korea, China, Vietnam and Japan. When you walk in, the bar is right in front of you, and the two-level dining room is to your right. We sat in the upper level and the thing that struck me immediately was how pretty the room was. There were two kinds of hanging lantern-style lights, and some of them had flickering gold bulbs that resembled candlelight. It was a beautiful effect. The menu is a real tour-de-force with dishes like Peking Duck Tacos, Shaoxing Braised Duck Laab, Pork Belly Steam Bun, Braised Cumin Lamb Ho Fun, and Singapore Black Pepper Crab. In addition to all that, they have nightly specials like a "Curry Night", "Asian Street Food Night", or "Dim Sum Night" among others. We happened to visit on Dim Sum Night, so that's where we went on the menu. We ordered two of their Dim Sum specials - six Pork Soup Dumplings ($13) with ground pork, ginger, scallion, rice wine and pork broth, and a Dumpling Sampler ($17) with two each of Pork Belly and Kim Chi dumplings, Shiitake and Chinese Sausage Dumplings, and Szechuan Chicken Dumplings. I had the sampler and thought it was very good. The three varieties all delivered plenty of flavor, and the pork belly and Szechuan chicken dumplings also came through with their advertised heat from peppercorns, five spice and chili oil. Our server Paula was friendly and professional. All in all, Bodhi scored high in ambience, food, and service.
