Favorite downtown cocktail bar. They have the classics, and they make them proper. We love coming here for a after work cocktail, or if were out and about we always stop in here for a drink. We had show tickets and had just enough time between dinner and the show to stop by last night. My love always gets a mezcal on the rock. I usually get either a Old Fashion, the Double Down( think a brown derby) Sazerac, or Smokin Berries. All of which are a great classic go to, and all fantastic cocktails. You cant go wrong with any of them. We noticed last night that they have their new cocktail list out, and the Christopher Oaxacan called to me. It may be my new favorite drink at Sazarac. It is mezcal, turmeric, lime, coconut agricole, on ice. It comes adorned with a dehydrated lime, and chili mango to nosh on. I cannot wait to order that drink again. If you don't mind a long line to get in and patrons/ employees who have no respect for the line, then this is the place for you! We waited in line for a good 40 minutes last night. Many people cut in front of us to "join their party" and finally we decided to say something to the large group that cut directly in front of us. Not only could they care less, but the guy working the door did not care either and made us feel like we were in the wrong for even bringing it to his attention. My friends and I went to this bar tonight & had such a horrible experience with the bartender in the photo which would not provide us with her name. We showed up at 1:40am and she told us that she could only serve beer which none of us wanted so we kindly declined. Shorting after another bartender asked us how he can help us & she rudely butted in and said "I just told you guys we can only serve you beer!" Mind you we didn't ask for anything, we got asked. We explained to her we didn't want anything because we didn't want beer.. I then asked her for her name & she refused to give it to me & this is why we took a picture of her. As soon as we walked out to leave because of the horrible service, she told security that we were "86"... this bartender is extremely rude for no reason & doesn't deserve to be working with people if she doesn't know kindness. I have a lot of family & friends that come to this bar, but know that we all won't be coming here no more because of her service. Please help coach this lady in how to treat customers, especially ones that bring you business because now you are losing some. read more

This has become my favorite spot DT to grab drinks. Always a fun crowd, great drinks and the owner is cool. He will occasionally walk around and thank people for their business and for following the mask rules and wants to make sure everyone is having a good time. WE HAD AN AMAZING TIME!! The environment is fun and fast paced. They take the safety and health of their customers very seriously. The place was beyond clean and they limit the number of people who can enter. No masks off unless you're seated. The owner came around and introduced himself such a sweetheart!!! I've been going regularly for about the last 7 months, and right before the quarantine they changed ownership apparently. Among the changes made were a shift from what little taco stand makes their food and not as crafty cocktails. Anyhow, for cinco de Mayo, some friends went there because we remember the tacos being delicious and it's apropos, as it's taco Tuesday. Long story short, the dude who gave us our to-go margaritas gave us beer instead (luckily we didn't find out until we got all the way home), and the food at the new stand was terrible. Take my advice and steer clear until they make some changes back to how it used to be- wonderful. read more

The bar was surprisingly dark when I first walked in and I was initially turned off however with the wonderful Arizona sunshine I couldn't help but choose to sit outside and it made all the difference! It's always fun picking out different beers for a flight, and I especially enjoyed how cute the presentation was for only $5! One of the downsides (IMO) is that their beer options were very IPA heavy, which may be good or bad news depending on your taste however I tend to like Belgians/hefeweizens, so my options were limited. They don't offer any food in the restaurant, but there was a food truck conveniently located outside selling affordable Cajun food which smelled delicious! Parking was a hard one but that just comes with the downtown location! read more
