Nicely organized, staff disinfecting shopping carts, and plenty of racks full of stuff to sort through. However, prices are really high. Some pieces are reasonably priced while others are priced similar to Marshall's/TJMax. In and out within 5 minutes as the average price of goods was too high for a thrift store :( read more

I would never shop this thrift store again and I recommend others pay attention to their return policy. They do not have any place to try these clothes on but they tell you oh but you can bring them back so I went ahead and bought the stuff thinking if they don't fit I'll bring them back. Oh they didn't fit not one thing and this morning I went to bring them back and I had taken the tag off of one shirt the first thing I tried on cuz I thought it would fit but every single thing else had the tag on it and there must have been about 20 items yet they would not let me return the one without the tag attached so I got upset and I said well then I'll just take my money back on all of them oh no their return policy is you can exchange it not return it. I think that is a crappy policy when you don't even have somewhere for people to try this stuff on. You guys act like you bought this stuff when it was given to you free. People don't shop at your store because they can afford to buy new stuff and they obviously can't afford to be treated that way with no return no returns only exchange when you didn't tell me that yesterday you only said I could bring them back. I used to love this place, but since the pandemic it's changed so much. First you can't try on the clothes. Second the prices are much higher now, comparable to just buying it from eBay (which eBay accepts returns). Third they don't do returns. You can only exchange clothes and shoes and it has to be within the 14 days of purchase. You can't get a store credit it has to be an exchange. They used to have more sales and now it's less often. They used to give you a coupon when you donate stuff but now you don't get anything in return. They do get nice stuff often so that's the only thing that keeps me coming back. read more

I received a coupon a few weeks ago that stated 50% off when spending more than $10. I spent $100 dollars and the cap for the discount was $10. Fine print. This has been the last draw for me. Savers claims to have sales but they mark up their prices Everytime they have a sale. It's all a gimmick to get you into the store and once you have a cart full of items you are screwed. From what I've heard fitting rooms have been removed permanently and will not be reopened at all. When finding unique items at thrift stores trying them on is the only way to know they actually fit how you envision them. This may not be as much of an issue if the prices hadn't dramatically increased. There is NO reason that a dirty used pair of sneakers should be $30. The whole reason for buying a visibly used and dirty pair of sneakers is because they will be cheaper. I would much rather go to the Marshall's or Ross across the street and by a BRAND NEW pair of sneakers for $20. Not to mention these items were donated to them for free! They clearly do not care for the community or the environment. If you're planning to sell a used item for the same price it is brand new... less people will buy things from you. Hence, more clothes ending up in landfills. Will be shopping elsewhere from now on unless things change and they start to stick to their proclaimed values. read more

Spent the evening loading up my van to drop some items off. Checked and made sure it was still open so i knew I could drop off the items before 9pm. I showed up at 8:25 pm and the guy said it was closed. They closed at 8:30. I told them I had a van full of stuff and they rejected me. They told me to come back tomorrow morning at 10am. Well this sucks, I need to unload everything from my van because we go to church in the morning. The times need to be updated to the correct operating hours. read more

Use to deliver my clothes and household items but not anymore! Employees just dump my bags and clothing without regard. I carefully folded and bagged my items for easy access, the employees made an effort to purposefully just throw bags upside down tossing all contents while laughing. What a shame I will donate all my items to St. John Vianney in hacienda heights instead where the items are appreciated. I appreciate savers employing troubled youth but they need to supervise them! I want to come back when I have more time to. I was looking for something very specific and they didn't have it so I was in and out in 10 min. There were a lot of people and it actually made me a little uncomfortable. Especially since half the people around me weren't wearing their masks correctly. It was old and dingy and for second hand stuff the prices seemed very high. More expensive than other thrift stores I've been to. Still, they seemed to have a lot of stuff and if you have the time to browse, you might be able to find something special. read more

I'm very disappointed, I been coming to this store for almost 10 years, last year in summer the prices were still good for used clothes, but I just went today and I was in shock, prices were outrageous high for used clothing, even with the coupons. The "Thrift Department Store." Hot damn, they weren't kidding. I've seen Macy's in more disarray than Savers. Someone put a serious case of OCD to good use at this place. Everything is well organized and not one item of clothing is out of it's proper place according to color. Hell, more than color...that stuff is organized by exact freakin' hue. And there's lots of it. Just aisles upon aisles of clothes. There must be some, but from what I'd saw, I'd say this isn't the best place for vintage finds. Well, not the easiest anyway. Unless you count "Brea Fun Run for Dalmations 2003" a great vintage find. Loads of those. Also, loads of soccer shirts. I'd be in heaven if I was in my soccer shirt loving phase of 1997, but alas...no more soccer shirts for me. I will say, they were surprisingly lacking in the book/music/electronic department. But as far as gadgets and gizmos go, they've got plenty. Whozits and whatzits galore. You want thingamabobs? They've got twenty. Well, more like twenty thousand. The doodads aisles go on for ages. Boy do I seem to come here quite often to either drop off donations or pick some items up. This place has it all I would say you could find almost anything if you really looked hard enough! The prices aren't high and everything is pretty well organized into different sections. I recently bought a few childrens books and it only cost $3.50 for 4 or 5 books! :) Pretty neat to be able to buy books that great and use keep on using them! We are all saving the planet a little at a time and I hope more people would start shopping thrifty. This place also is pretty large with ample parking all the time! You will also be able to drop off donations at the side of the building and they will gladly accept them. Savers doesn't accept American Express or Master Card but you can still use Visa. Coming into Savers is like being on a treasure hunt sometimes it takes a little while to find the chest, but in the end if you look really hard you will find it! Happy hunting! read more

Good old Saver's, remember when it first opened (I think back in the late 90's or early 2000's, because I use to shop there when it was an Alpha Beta grocery store...lol) Any who, I was so addicted to it, that I went just about every week in there and got lots of great stuff bargain priced. And I remember the biggest times where their biggest sales they throw periodically through the year. They also have discounted color of the day. The other big time to go there would be Halloween when people are searching for that perfect costume or piece to go with it. Christmas is also another since they have great Christmas decorations and decor for the home at prices just a tad bit cheaper than Target or Walmart. I also remember how in the beginning it was set up differently, although always trying to be neat, it was a little on the disorganized side. Well low & behold years later, how far it's come! Nicer, wide aisles of items, nicely kept in order and in divided into their own sections, with big bright signs. Prices as we all are aware, have gone up. But I've been there a few times & have seen cheaper prices that you wouldn't at Goodwill & Salvation army. But please don't come here with high expectations, (I speak from experiencing it myself) because it's definitely hit and miss, I usually go there w/this attitude that I'm not going to find anything and it ends up being torture because they'll have a lot of cute stuff that day. Other times I would expect to find something & "nada". Place has also grown in popularity, the weekends are a mad house, weekdays, especially early morning/afternoon are better times (except when they have those big sales). There is an abundance of parking. Donations are taken in the back I believe now. When they are closed, people pretty much dump their crap there anyways where you'll see a few scavengers looking thru it. They are other locations too, I've been to the Huntington Beach one, before it closed for good., now I think it's Anaheim among others. They are also locations out of state, like Goodwill. I don't go there as much, if at all, but once a year, its just too crowded at times and I don't have the energy I use to, when I was a hard core Thrift store junkie. That probably explains why I prefer going to thrift stores in the Inland Empire, because it's the boonies and they have a ton of the non big chain, mom & pop thrift stores (unlike GW & SA). But if they put a Saver's out there, I would definitely check it out!! read more

Savers is a pretty neat place to shop. They are organized, relatively clean and they carry some good stuff. I always say that a thrift store is only as good as the surrounding community who donates to it, and this can be proven by this store. I've seen from really nice sports jerseys, to full fish tanks, PlayStation 3's and even some higher end designer eye wear and jewelery. The prices tend to run a higher than those at the Goodwill, sometimes being as much as purchasing an item brand new from a store, but this store is way more organized. All the clothing is separated by what type it is: short sleeve, long sleeve, pants, shorts, etc. And then it is all separated by sizes, which helps cut down on a lot of time that you would have to spend going rack by rack to try to find at least one item you like. This organization also makes it easy to come into the store if you are in a rush as you will be able to find exactly what you may be looking easily. If you donate to Savers they will give you a stamp card. The more you donate, the more stamps you get and the high your discount will be when you use the card. The max discount you can earn with one of these cards is 30%. I prefer this location over the location in Anaheim, but that might just be personal preference. Come check it out, I am sure that you will find at least one thing every time you come in. read more

Ahh yes! Another trip to Savers. Shortly after the Lomita opening Again, another good store. Savers offers the following - clothing -shoes -electronics -furniture - wall decorations -seasonal wears ( new and old halloween stuff. Huzzah!) -bric brac -vhs -records -books -housewares -board games By definition, Savers is a big store and their selection is huge and this store lived up to that expectation. Although there was a lot of stuff, for the most part, I did not find the quality of the stuff in the store to be as awesome as other savers I had previously frequented ( still good though folks, still good) Their strongest department was without a doubt, their bric brac. Although there was definitely a lot of junk, I managed to snag an awesome clock ( though not completely working) for eight bucks. I would suggest hitting up this section. prices were okay. books that were originally up to 7.94 were 1.99 and all books originally priced above that were 2.99; if you purchased four you also received one book free. most of the books were in okay condition. Bric brac was priced individually and I found it to be higher than many of the other savers than I had previously been to. Videotapes were a few dollars and so were records. Clothing was priced individually though I found most of the clothing to be overpriced for what it was. Wall hangings were in the camp of ten dollars. Although the furniture was in pretty grim condition I found some pretty awesome steals (http://bit.ly/16kVHTG) such as this filing cabinet for fifteen bucks. Again, Savers shines in it's customer service. Although I only had one encounter with a service associate, it was a positive one. The cashier behind the counter was incredibly friendly and upon her noticing a part of the clock I was purchasing wasn't working, she was quick to offer suggestion and advice over places or things I could do to get it fixed. Good work Savers! Relatively speaking, this Savers was pretty run-of-the-mill for a thrift store environment but not great for a Savers. The Bric Brac and housewares was a bit dirty and disorganized as were the furniture and the wall hangings. The books and videotapes were organized. Savers is definitely worth a visit, but maybe not a mecca. read more

I just recently came to visit my parents house in Southern California and I have been really missing thrifting. My favorite thrift stores are definitely still in the San Francisco Bay area however I was blown away by how big this places and how much inventory they had. Are the brands super luxurious? Probably 5% of that but will you get a really good deal? Absolutely! They open at 11 AM and there is usually already a line forming at 10:30 AM. This place is a step above other thrift stores. Their products are better quality than most other second-hand stores. Prices are a bit higher, but still worth the cost. Friendly staff too. I truly appreciate this thrift store the employees are helpful and friendly and I also appreciate that they do their best to keep the store organized. I am never disappointed when I shop here I like how the sizes are organized as that's so helpful I don't have to scatter looking for stuff. Also if you donate items they give you a discount coupon to use towards your next purchase also did I mention I've found amazing clothing items some new and name brand. I have also bought silver jewelry from here at a great price. I also like that they do support the community they offer discounts for seniors and also send you discounts coupons from 30%-%50 off. Now I had tried good will /Salvation Army but honestly they are pricey and sell items that are no longer in good condition so I was blessed to had found this place I send everyone here.
