The management is inept and untruthful. The man helping me unload my donations also took a box with a family heirloom in it from my trunk as I was unloading donations from my front seat. I realized his error when I got home and drove right back to the store. They knew the cart my donation was on but said I could not get it back until it was "processed" the next day. I wrote out a detailed description and left them my phone number. I also visited the store daily to check on when it would be processed. After 5 days, the management told me it had been "shipped out" to any one of a number of Savers Thrift stores in the United States. Unbelievable. Not interested, no compassion. read more

**SHAME ON YOU SAVERS!** My Aunt passed away recently and as I was cleaning her room I had a bunch of stuff to donate. Reason I chose to donate to Savers La Mirada store is because my Aunt LOVED this store! She would spend hours at a time in that store, she donated ONLY to them for years as well. I had nowhere to put a huge, I mean HUGE king size duvet that had a down feather comforter inside it, it was placed close to the donation pile. Granted, it is our error, my daughters didn't realize I wanted to keep the duvet/comforter as I knew my Aunt loved that thing and I wanted to keep it as it was a treasured item to me. I realized later that night, the duvet was gone. Saver's was closed early as it was a Sunday. Next morning, I called and was informed by the girl that she would do some type of report for production to "notify" them, gave her a description and my contact information and was told someone would call me back that day. No one ever called, so I called back Tuesday morning and got a "manager" I believe named Ben. Explained the issue ALL over again and told him, no one ever called me back yesterday. He proceeded to tell me that, I was given wrong information and no one would be calling me back. (Great customer service Saver's) then said that (whatever this useless) report is that they do, would be given to production so that as they are processing the donations to put out on the sales floor, they would be able to put aside when they come to it but that I was welcome to go into the store to see if it's on the floor. HUH?? I thought you just said this "REPORT" was done to flag this item, so that production doesn't send it out to the floor?? This manager proceeded to tell me, well, a report was done, but just in case it slips through the cracks...I'm sorry WTF is the use of this "useless report" then? SMDH. So, I go into the store after work that day, talk to another "manager" on the floor who tells me it can take up to 72 hours for donated items to hit the floor but that I can check. He again, brought up that "useless" report they "filed" for the item to assure me that production has the report. My item was not on the floor. Called again Wed. morning to check, THEN a "manager" from Production answered and ( mind you I am explaining my situation EVERY time I call or go in because NO ONE is communicating with each other) I explain it all again, she THEN tells me, oh, it may have been sent to one of our other stores. WTF?!!! Why didn't anyone tell me that was a possibility and I could have called other stores to check?!!!! Now, I am furious. She says she will check the other stores and call me back. No call back, AGAIN...I called later that day and got Elizabeth on the sales floor who, throughout this WHOLE ordeal was the ONLY employee there who acted like they gave a crap and showed empathy after explaining it was my Aunt's who recently passed. THANK YOU ELIZABETH, she ALSO said she had no clue about it and neither did anyone else on the sales floor for that matter but that she would let her co-workers know. NONE of the THREE manager I had talked to, could take the EXTRA time to inform the sales floor people, hey keep an eye out for a HUGE king size duvet, BURGUNDY and BROWN that weighs a ton? I mean, YOU CANNOT MISS THE THING! So, when I finally had to call back because the production manager never got back to me, I was put on hold for about 20 Min. No one ever came back to say, Hi Ms Gomez, so sorry for the wait, we didn't forget about you, but I still need time to find a manager, blah blah blah. So, I finally hung up and called back. The production manager never even came on, someone else came on to tell me that she said to give her until Saturday. I called back Saturday morning and was told, they found NOTHING, they didn't come across this HUGE monstrous duvet and sorry, but nothing they could do. I will not be getting it back obviously and I don't know if it is because someone there liked it and kept it, down feather comforters are very expensive, I know. Maybe someone there said, hey we can get lots of money for this one, I don't know, but a BIG duvet that size, doesn't just disappear and if you sent it to another store, that SHOULD be somehow noted, documented, inventory wise right?!! Now, I get that it was our error and no one ever blamed that on Savers, but the fact that NO ONE there, acted like they gave a crap, that was the frustrating part. Being told someone would call me back, being told this "REPORT" would prevent it from going out to the sales floor, the fact that NO ONE could just take a moment and check the floor for it and call me to say ,hey, so sorry that it slipped through the cracks, but we found it on the floor, you can come get it! The customer service here is TERRIBLE. No one wants to give ANY extra effort, I mean come on, I NEVER ONCE got a call back, or a call to say, we're still searching. Love this place! It's like a more upscale Goodwill - clothes are arranged by very specific type and size, they have plenty of fitting rooms, and I've never seen junky clothes or straight up trash like at certain thrift stores I've been to. They have a loyalty program, you get a discount in store when you donate your unwanted items, and associates are always friendly. Only little complaint is that sometimes I've seen nice, new-looking clothes but the price is a little more than I would expect of a thrift store (like $10-15 for an H&M shirt); other than that, there are plenty of gems under $10. read more

If you've ever been to a Savers, you know it's a huge thrift store with lots of variety. I like having a ton of stuff to look at. That's the fun part of thrifting, right? This one is the same. However, the prices here are unbelievably high--much higher than Goodwill. Plain little old S & P shakers for $3.99, an old, small Realistic brand tape recorder for $12.99 (close to it's original price). A chipped ceramic garlic keeper for $3.99. A bag of Halloween spider webbing for $5.99?!?! Don't they have these things at the 99 or something? There was a long line and only one cashier open until I reached the head of the line and a second one opened. It didn't seem like management cared about inconveniencing customers with such a long line. I would give this place 2 stars because "Meh, I've experienced better" but it was organized pretty well, so I give it a star for that. Their prices are a deal-breaker. They don't have fitting rooms so a couple people were trying things on in front of the few mirrors they have out, I was one of those people I had my stroller next to me not blocking anyone's way yet some random man either customer or worker very rudely makes a remark saying I'm blocking the way which I'm not I turn and see other women with their carts on the same aisle and that's why he couldn't get through yet either because I'm the only brown woman or only with a kid on that aisle he singled me out. The female worker was nice enough to ask me nicely so I moved. At self-checkout I was scanning some cds and their scanner stopped working so a worker comes and says let me see that in a rude tone he then asked me to scan the cds I had already scanned I told him I had already scanned those and he starred at the screen and then deletes the doubles and continues to ask to me to rescan them again which he then double checks and deletes again. When I left some random male employee with his fly down is starring at me as if I'm shoplifting. While I'm leaving some of my stuff fell by the door and I stop to pick it up, my toddler is standing next to me and some rude woman shoved her way through grazing my kid as she does so I pick up my things and asked her if she knows how to say excuse me and she walks away fast and scared, she's lucky I had my kids with me and patience for stupid bitches read more

This is my go to thrift store especially this location. I always get excited on what I will end up finding. They have excellent customer service such as taking COVID precautions seriously. They clean every cart and their floors are always clean. All of their clothes are organized by putting them according to sizes and they pick up clothes that fell on the floor. The store smells much more clean and has no smell compared to Goodwill. If you donate anything you get a 20% coupon of your next purchase and you can sign up for rewards and get points to eventually get 20% off. They frequently put merchandise throughout the day. Savers, the Department Thrift Store (no joke, it's on the building) This is by far one of my favorite thrift stores to go to, I spend hours here whenever I get the chance. They have it all, clothes for everyone in the family, electronics, housewares, furniture, jewelry... You name it, it's there. I mostly shop for clothes, and if that's what you're looking for, this is the place to go. About half the store is women's clothes categorized by type, ie. dresses, jeans, skirts, blouses, etc. The other half is mens. One of the best parts is the colored tags, any day you go there's always a sale on one of the colors. And on holidays they usually have sales too. Prices are decent, although I've noticed they've gone up recently, but still much better then most thrift stores. They're the place to go for a halloween costume, the store practically gets converted. But if you're not into the fake costume look, they put out vintage type clothes for those of you who prefer something more unique. I've gotten some of my favorite clothes here for under five bucks, right now i'm wearing a pair of diesel jeans I got from Savers for seven or eight dollars. And once I got a couch in great shape for 20. And, if you donate, they give you a 20% off coupon! Get a cart, you're going to need one! read more

This was my first time in savers, I feel like in south OC there aren't any locations. But anywho, this place was pretty awesome. The racks were organized by sizes, NOT BY COLOR. Which was a big plus for someone who wants to save their time looking through clothes that actually fits you rather than ramsacking the whole color rack. And the price was pretty good too. The only downside I would say is the try on section. It was crowded and even though it said 5 items only at a time, people were trying at least 10 because it took a long time for me to get a stall. In the end, I left the store happy with a faux suede jacket, pinstriped shirt dress, a graphic tshirt, and a pair of acid wash jeans for $23. It was an amazing experience. read more

If you sign up for their mailing list, they have sale days (on main holidays) where the entire store is 50% off. the sale in itself is pretty awesome! the store on a sale day is not. it is pure and complete utter madness. So I just went for their half off memorial day sale. The manager told me people line up at 6am .. ?! I got here right at 8 (when the store opens) - there are no carts available at this time. There were some baskets. But I've been here enough to know to byoc: bring your own cart! seriously. It is sad if you miss a cart, people stand around the checkout just waiting to grab a cart from someone who is leaving. The store is packed. It is hard to navigate through the tiny isles at times because of all the people. Everyone is stuffing things into their carts in a frenzy because, well, everything is half off. Don't even think about trying something on, just try it on over your clothes or take it home. The line is outrageous to try things on. I don't really come here for clothes anyway - i just buy other misc. junk :) Beware of crabby shoppers and crabby staff. When I was in the checkout line, there was a little controversy with the customer before me and the manager. They got into a huge argument and the customer ended up walking off without buying her things. it was sad. The line to pay is also ridiculously long. They have a designated cash only line, so I would bring cash cause that is usually shorter. So my long-time childhood friend shows up today in the cutest outfit I've ever seen. Like we always do, we check each other out when we meet up. "So where did you get those boots? They're really cool." I asked. We've been trying to find cool vintage looks since we were teenagers. "Thrift shop." and she turns out her skinny little leg for me to check them out. "I've been checking XYZ thrift shop, but found nothing." "You need to go to Savers! They got everything there!" I'm not lying, as soon as I left her I drove over to Savers and began going through the racks. This store is kept neater than some Ross and Marshall's I've been to. Not a single item of clothing is on the floor, and the racks are all neatly labeled. Oh, and guess what? When you go to the rack labelled Ladies Sweaters and begin browsing through the section for size large...you find sweaters, in size large. I don't even get that TJ Maxx, everything is usually a jumbled mess. In just one hour of shopping I found a pair of designer jeans, two belts, three dresses and two purses....for $45!!! I am so ready for the next time I see my friend in my swingy turquoise dress and snake skin print clutch bag. Even though I love finding clothes, there are still some serious finds to be discovered in the other departments. I passed on a brand new Krups cappuccino maker (instruction booklet and accessories included) for $12. The girl standing next to me in line at the cash register found a women's snowboard for $15!! I happened to drive by this Savers, and thought I would jump in real quick to see if they had anything I liked. Walked by a few employees, no words, no big deal. I've recently ventured into the world of thrift store shopping, and what a glorious world it is indeed... I can't believe that amount of money I'd normally spend on a dinner would get me a whole stanking outfit! I've visited a couple of other places like Goodwill and Salvation Army, but Savers really beats them all. It looks kinda shady on the outside with its cheesy sign, but looks just like any other run-down Ross on the inside. There are books to your left, bed and bath on your right, shoes in the back, and rows and rows of meticulously organized clothing by category, size, color, and hue. This store is bursting with rainbows, people, how can you not feel the joy?! It took me way too long to get through this store. WAAAAAAY too long. There's so much stuff here, and the clothes are in great condition. Some of them are still brand new with tags! Today's buys: a thick jacket for $10, a shirt for $3, and a NWT blazer originally priced at $10 but was reduced to $5 since it was half off all purple and yellow tags! Suhweet. I'm not a hardcore thrift shopper just yet so I can't say I'll be coming here that often. It really takes a lot of energy looking through all the merchandise :( But this is definitely on the top of my list of thrift stores, and if you haven't ever been thrift shopping yet, this is a darn good place to start. read more

This place has potential. The Friday night that I came, there wasn't much vintage. I drove nearly 40min to get to this location, so I was disappointed. Things seemed kind of pricey to me, but outerwear was half off, so I took a looksie. I'd had a vest, but put it back, since vests aren't considered outerwear. I've given Savers La Mirada an extra star because their staff was the friendliest thrift staff I've EVER seen. The gentleman was smiley and happy to help! Savers is one of my favorite thrift stores. They can be pricey at times but they have more unique pieces and better deals than Goodwill for the most part. I found this amazing vintage leather backpack but it was $19.99, a little pricey in my opinion for a thrift store. It would have been amazing if it were $9.99 but I still bought it. Then I found some vintage leather boots and those were only $7.99 which was much more my speed. I did find vintage Hugo Boss sunglasses for $3.99 that usually retail around $169 on ebay and $350 brand new so that was a HUGE steal! I could barely believe it. Lastly I found a silver bracelet and vintage watch for $5 each, also a little steep. They are priced around the same as Goodwill, their clothes are a little bit cheaper. But I did find some really amazing stuff once I dug a little, which is half the fun of thrifting anyway. So yeah my only complain is that they are a little pricey, but they do have sale days and give out bunch cards that once you fill up you get 30% off your entire purchase. So this takes a little more couponing/planning than normal thrifting. I will be going back for sure though. I always find something at Savers. They are well organized, they organize by color, category and even SIZE (super rare for thrift stores). They always have a great selection of boots, and bags and TONS of clothing, though you need a lot of patience to weed through that. This Savers in particular had more bags than the one in La Mirada. The definitely have top quality clothing that's very neatly organized, but they're a bit on the expensive side. Nevertheless, I've gotten some invaluable basic pieces here: a denim jacket for $7, a floral print vintage dress for $4, a form-fitting floral dress for $3, a fully crocheted floral Banana Republic sweater (it's BEAUTIFUL) for $7, a brown braided belt for $1.50, etc. Still, there were a lot of great stuff I DIDN'T buy because they were a little expensive, considering that the clothes were used. Been shopping at Savers for a good amount of years now. Yes, the prices have definitely increased, BUT they are still cheaper than Goodwill and the selection of things are usually nice. An added bonus, this place doesn't smell like most thrift stores. I have yet to see a cockroach (or bugs in general) out and about. I don't know about you, but that's a good sign in the thrift world. A good portion of my closet is from Savers. That pretty much shows how much I shop here. Cardigans, jackets, pants, you name, I've found great stuff. I never buy really worn out clothing, and being a super picky person, it's amazing that I can find clothes almost all the time. However, I never buy used shoes....too afraid of catching toe fungus. My boyfriend used to dress like a construction worker (the horror!) in public, but now he is sporting maybe even better clothes than me. Thanks Savers for helping out with my man's fashion emergency! Now, he gets complimented all the time for his style. The best thing we scored on were barely used slim Armani jeans for $5! Wowza! Lots of fitting rooms. Clothing is organized by type, size, and color. Pretty dang cool for a thrift store. Makes the search less time consuming. The home/decor and books area offer a good selection as well. It's just fun combing the whole store if time is not a concern. The 50% off days are killer due to the crowd. It's like Black Friday status but in a thrift store. Savers is like the Walmart of thrift stores. So big and seemingly endless! I could spend a lot of hours here if I wanted to look through every single aisle. This Savers isn't as organized (i.e. some of the clothes were in a disarray) as the one is in Anaheim, but there are great deals nonetheless. The clothing is organized by size and style. Perusing the racks, I found that most of the clothing was in good shape, and like new. Found lots of Ann Taylor LOFT stuff and Banana Republic. A LOT. People like to donate those brands apparently. =P You'll have to dig, if you are looking for more younger and trendy clothing. The stuff here is a mismash of lots of styles and age ranges. They do have a section specifically dedicated to vintage. Which is cool. But like my friend says, when it comes to shopping at thrift stores, you just need to be creative with your look. Prices are great. Most shirts run about $5 -$7. The name brand stuff runs a little higher. I saw some BR stuff around $10. Which is still a steal. They will price new stuff with tags higher too. Oh and they have 50% discount days. It is color coded so you need to look at the tags. Also if you donate, you get I think 20% or 30% off your purchase. They also have Savers coupons if you sign up for a rewards card. Savers sells everything. Books, home stuff, shoes, and clothes. Not impressed. I was quite disappointed. Maybe it is because I heard of great things of Saver's in general so I went into the store with expectations? I don't know. Maybe... Anyway, the store was too big for me - yes, I get overwhelmed easily. But there is a lot of space between aisles for you and a few others to shop, however maybe not back-to-back. Each section is organized well and very easy to read and shop. Let's talk prices: wow. Not a good wow. I thought it was fairly pricey for some odd reason. Call me cheap, but I thought thrift stores were supposed to be cheap? And prices here at Savors were very similar to Goodwill's uprising prices after the hit track "Thrift Shop" by that one white rapper - meh. That could have been the case or it could have been pricey from it's early establishments, but I do go to thrift stores often and to me this was kinda pricey for my wallet. I didn't end up with anything btw. And not to mention, these prices were very similar to Buffalo Exchange or some consignment store that were selective in their incoming products. The service was very slow - it was a slow Saturday afternoon, but at one point there was a rush and long lines at the register, and some were hesitant to open a new register while there were lines blocking foot-traffic. So odd to me. They didn't seem to be cheery or happy either - which kind made me feel like in a sad in the environment. HOWEVER - they do have a variety selections of all types of clothing. Not a bad thrift store if you hit it on the right day. They have everything tagged nicely and their inventory is VERY organized. However, we find that their houseware, clothes, and DVD's/books are a bit pricey. Come here for good variety though. Each day they usually have two color tags that indicate percentage off. We went here and my wife purchased 3 dresses for under $21. I also bought a nice fitted GAP long-sleeve shirt for $7, but in comparison to the other shirts this one was almost brand new. You'll have to inspect the collars for discoloration and the shirts for missing buttons or stains. Overall, not bad if you hit it on the right day! read more

My favorite store. I love how everything is organize by size instead of color. It's really hard to get in to be hired. It takes 3 interviews total, scored 2 and asking for Jacob for the 3rd is complicated - phone tag, I hear they're strict and wouldn't want to work for this place anyway, based on other reviews and some immature unprofessional employees acting as professionals to get the foot in the door, yeah no thanks but I still love you Savers TO SHOP. read more

THE BEST PLACE EVER! I could shop here every day for the rest of my life. I am addicted to coming to this place. Not only do I always find a LOT of stuff that I love, I also don't break my bank by coming here. I have never had a bad experience here. My suggestion: donate a trash bag full of decent quality stuff and get a 20% off coupon to use towards your purchase.
