Happy to visit Savers, found some things I really love and bc I'm subscribed I had the 30% off coupon today! Register Staff were very helpful as a few of my tags were printed and unreadable by the scanner so she had to manually input 7-8 items. Today's discount was 50% off silver tags. As I was waiting in line I spotted a tote bag tied to an end cap, I went to check and it was a gorgeous coach bag priced at $50 with a silver tag FOR 50% off!! I felt like one of those thrift store influencers on social media!! I also found a dress I liked but saw the tag was $50. Sounds crazy for thrift so I checked the label and it was 100% silk at 30 % off. I did try it on and took it home. Today was a really good day for me bad for my wallet but happy I decided to come here. read more

All i want to say is when i come into a thrift store i would love to feel welcomed and talked to with respect i was browsing the media area and some manager or employee is yelling at people checking out with a very rude and demeaning tone treating them like they are in the army. I'll add that she is screaming across the store the store is closing in 30 minutes i'm never treated like this at the goodwill on whittier blvd. She stated that they are closing when it's 45 to 30 minutes before closing and i was never treated like this as avid shopper of 7 years at this location. please do something about this i would love to visit the store again when i'm not harassed and yelled at for shopping read more

This is a smaller location but still offers a plultitude (is that a word?) of things such as clothing, housewares, furniture, book etc. Employees are usually nice and available to assist customers. Keep in mind that all check-outs are self-service. Parking is shared with other businesses. We came later in the day, so we had to park in the back. If you're into thrifting, def pop-in as you'll never know what you'll find. With prices getting higher these days on everything, it's nice that places like this exist and help the community. read more

Thrift Stores are getting ridiculous. I pop in once in awhile & 9/10 times l walk out. They should price items to move & not expect top dollar. I can go to Burlington, TJMaxx, Marshall's or Ross & purchase brand new items for what they ask. It is so disappointing. The color tags that are 1/2 price can't even be found. Savers use to be cool when it was actually priced as a secondhand store. Their prices compete with buying something new. I would not drive out, especially if the racks are filled with fast fashion garbage. Also considering that they have people putting things out without shifting through clothes that are molded. Overpriced as shit literally go to Marshalls or Ross across the street for brand new stuff for cheaper. I'm not even kidding. $300 for scratched up Versace glasses with missing gems. The workers were weird as fuck hovering over my shoulder as I was checking out. And the best part was, the workers were intentionally hiding stuff and keeping stuff to buy for themselves one Lady said I don't even know if this is real, but I'm gonna buy it and resell it and she was a worker and she brought out jackets from the back for her cousin or daughter And then when her daughter didn't want them, she took them back... Kind of takes the joy and point out of thrift thing might as well change the name to fucking savers boutique with the pricing and the way you're only keeping good stuff for your family. I would rate Savers higher but their prices have skyrocketed. A very beaten up Hurley t- shirt will run you $8.99, old Old Navy jeans $13.99, and small used glassware for $6.99 and up. Used books with markings and booger marks run up to $6.99. Kitchen goods here are outrageously priced you get everything brand new at Walmart for literally $1 more. Even a pack of used Crayola markers is $5.99 when you can get a new pack at Target for $3.99. read more

I had asked to see some items from the showcase. The woman helping me handed two items for me to look at and stood there to help me. She was excellent. I told her I wanted one of the items which she said no worries asked for my name and told me she will put the item on hold and ask at the register. When I finished shopping and went to checkout I asked for my item which was brought out. The checkout man decided the item was not being sold for enough and told me he would have to reprice the item t be sold for more money. This is ridiculous I was already at checkout and I was questioned about the item about where I found it. Another employee already saw the price and had no issue putting it on hold for that to sell for that price. read more

I spent most of my visit laughing at all the ridiculous prices they have going on here. I've been going to this location for a few years and usually can find some decently priced items but lately the prices are just out of control. You can go to Ross, Marshall's, Target, etc and pay less for brand new items. Alot of the items are in horrible condition (broken, stained, faded, holes). There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to their pricing. They are NOT a non-profit, which is why you pay tax on all items. This is directly from the Savers website: "We're a for-profit company that champions reuse. Shopping in our stores doesn't support any nonprofit, but donating your reusable goods does. We pay nonprofits for your stuff, helping them fund programs in our communities." I feel like alot of people are misled that they are donating to a non-profit, and Savers doesn't do a good job of clarifying that information. I wonder how much they actually "pay" the non-profits, and what's the matrix on how much they pay them??? All in all, you may or may not find a decent deal. Most likely you will over pay and your item will probably be in poor condition. read more

I recently visited Savers to look for items for the home, but I left empty-handed. The prices they want for basic glass Pyrex bakers and bowls are outrageous--$12 for one dish with a lid! You could easily find it new at Home Goods for around the same price. I ended up purchasing a 6-piece set for $24 new, and I can't help but think it would have been more at this thrift store. Even simple glassware was overpriced. I saw glasses priced at $3 each, while a 12-piece set at Walmart is only $15 for the same glasses I couldn't help but laugh! Also they had a vintage Polaroid camera marked at $50. After looking it up, I found that you can get them online for around $30. It's disheartening to see that the fun of thrifting has diminished due to inflated prices. This was my second visit to this location, and I understand they are a for profit company but at this point you're better off shopping retail! I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but honestly, finding a good deal here feels like searching for a needle in a haystack. read more

Also, why does the manager hate women?! There aren't any fitting rooms, so I saw women & girls trying clothes on over their clothes, I was one of them. ‍ I asked about the return policy, & they only allow exchanges, which doesn't make any sense. I call this thrift stores "Spenders". Savers has completely lost sight of its purpose. The pricing of items in their stores has become outrageous, especially considering that all merchandise is donated for free. There is no justification for charging $20 or more for used clothing, regardless of the brand. While it's understood that operating costs and employee wages need to be covered, the current pricing model is excessive and counterproductive. Savers should implement a standardized pricing structure based on garment type, rather than individually pricing items at inflated rates. The result of these high prices is clear: inventory is piling up because many shoppers simply can't justify paying such exorbitant amounts for secondhand items. I would much rather donate to and shop at local thrift stores, which offer better prices, better selection, and stay true to the spirit of affordability and community support. read more

I like this store but lately when Im scanning my items a worker will come and say it has the wrong price and change it a few dollar higher. Its happened twice. Video games are $4.99. Ours didn't have a tag,same worker appeared and put a tag of $14.99 on it. A dollar tree toy price was changed from $3.89 to $7.99 when scanner couldn't read it. Sad. Do better Savers. read more
