I found three great finds at this thrift store! About on week ago, I found the Uniden Brarcat 50 Channel 800 MHZ Radio Scanner! Works great! This week, I found a transistor radio made in 1988, that was in an unopen package! Works great! I also found a computer speaker system, I use this with one of my phones, headphone connection, to the speakers, and listen to sounds of wind, rain, and other from You Tube. Great place! Julie was such a pleasure! I loved walking in here and seeing how organized it is. The store is small but has a great variety. I appreciate that the clothes/books are just one set price. That allows me to just shop and browse the clothes with pleasure knowing the price. The selection varies but it is still a cute shop to add to your thrifting day. Cheaper than goodwill and I love to support a local business. They have beauty supplies, jewelry, kitchen supplies, clothing, paintings, books. Lovey little shop and you ring the bell once you are ready. Love that aspect because so I get to shop with ease. Also loved the student discount and the care that was put into wrapping up my mug! As a consistent thrifter I'm always looking for new stores to visit. I so happened to come caress Morningstar Thrift, which wasn't a bad experience at all! Upon walking in I went immediately to the jeans section. The variety of sizes makes this place even better. They have about 5 racks of tops/blouses all are sized organized from S-XXXL. The staff is friendly and very informative. Especially when it comes to their discounts either for the week or the day. The prices are fairly good, but they add up QUICKLY as your pile grows. Jeans are $5 / Blouses $5 T-shirts $5 / Sweaters $5 Just about everything clothing wise is $5 so know as soon as you pick up 5 items you'll already be at $30+ tax. Knickknacks range between prices which is a given. Overall this place is welcoming, warm and well presented. As far as the price in items, they are decent, better than new goodwill prices. read more

I came here to look for some used Harry Potter books but they didn't have any. Their room that contains their housewares has a bit of a smell. Anyways, I got a London Fog Maincoat trenchcoat for $7 here. It had lots of tiny stains so I had to bring it to a dry cleaner for $17. Lots of clothing selection here and they have a restroom and fitting rooms here. The place was clean but a bit warm inside. They take card. Hmm vote this as useful or something other than funny unless it actually is then I'll change the review. This older dude with a idk Homer Simpson beard but thicker was idk organizing stuff in the back with his female colleague but it seemed like he'd been having a hard time understanding his female colleague and embarrassingly kept raising his voice at the lady over some baby crib. Like dude I think the lady would know a thing or two about cribs not to like be sexist or whatever. But the guy really just didn't get it and kept raising his voice and not listening to his female colleague she had to repeat herself multiple times but firmly and not in a rude way ( you go girl!!). Grow up dude. You're an adult man and you know what an inside voice is. There were also other people around that made eye contact with me as it happened and we both were like ugh awk. I'm checking out after another awkward encounter where right after the childish fit, he calmly in a gentle voice asks if he's in the way. Like wow where was all the chivalry and gentleman in you like 2 mins ago. Okay this is the it where I want some opinions. There are like little dancing toys by the window by checkout and dude came up and just said "see the toys there?" I acknowledge, and of all the toys he says "the chili pepper one wants to go home with you. The pepe." And smiles at me but do y'all girls, guys, gays, and theys get that gut feeling when a guy is being creepy but it's like sly and in public so you're kinda processing if it's really creepy or you're in your head. Well that's what this encounter felt like to me. Like literally there were so many other toys. He talked to his coworker for a bit while she was ringing me but then just stood there after staring, then finally made the comment as I was getting my change. Very clean, but overpriced. There were three purses on display, each for $99.99. At first I thought those were the original tags, but these were not designer purses. Yes, they were large and new-looking, but a hundred bucks? I found a few flip flops in my size, and they all seemed new, but five bucks? I didn't have a lot of time to browse but I did find a working digital alarm clock with an a.m. radio for eight dollars. Pretty good deal. They let me test it, and said if there were any issues, to bring it back with my receipt for a refund. read more

Been wanting to check out this little thrift store. Was glad I did, they have decent clothing, babies to adults. Some shoes nicely spread out. Accessories and another room w/limited home decor, small appliances and toys (maybe more, I can't remember). Although I was looking for some linens, that I did not find. :( But, this is a store worth checking out now & then, they have specials and sales and free cookies and coffee. I went in today July 1, 2019. I was with a child that needed to use the bathroom and I was told there was no bathroom. As I am walking towards the register , I notice a sign that said no bathrooms which is obviously a lie. I understand not having public bathrooms for other people coming in from the street but they can bend the rules and should have the bathrooms available for customers and especially children. Very disappointed with my experience. Had to leave the store and went to the Mexican restaurant next door and they allowed us to use the bathroom. How can you call yourself's a Christian business . What ever happened to " let the children come to me"? Practice what you preach! and instead of free coffee how about love and understanding. read more

Not your average thrift store. Smells like apples when I walked in lol they must have a hidden Scentsy somewhere lol They have free coffee and cookies, clean bathroom. The store is very clean, not dusty, not cluttered. Lot of nice glassware. I am a physical therapist and I loved that they had some walkers, crutches there half of them were brand NEW !!! the walkers were $7.99 and the crutches were $5.99. They had a bedside commode that looked brand new (no tags) for $15. All the other thrift stores like Savers or Goodwill have walkers never new for $10-20!!! I even found a hemiwalker I can use with stroke patients brand new with tags for $ 7.99 !!! They even have the rubber ends for the back of standard front wheel walkers for $2.99 a pair. read more

I liked this place. It's very clean and organized. I was able to come out of there with 4 items some from h&m, urban outfitters and target. The cute brown target sweater I got was one the dollar rack they had outside. They also offer their customers coffee and cookies or whatever sweet they decide to put out that day. They take cash or credit cards. They also have two sections in the store one for housewares and furniture and the other just clothes. After this first visit I would come back again :) read more

A great thrift store! I was happy to find an independently-run store with reasonable prices and consistently-changing stock. I found an awesome, beautiful kitchen table there for only $40! I've been there two or three times, and twice was completely left alone by staff, and once was invited to church.. which was uncomfortable but not enough to make me never come back. Downside is that after buying my table, I had to go back to pick it up-- their posted closing hours were 8pm that day, and I got there a little after 7... the place was locked and dark! Not a soul to be seen. Had to make a second trip. :/ read more

This little thrift shop is my "go-to" thrift shop near home. It always has a great selection and has lots of clothing brands I like (ie: Chico's, Ann Klein). I also picked up Asics running shoes (in great condition). Their prices are some of the lowest I've encountered and I visit lots of thrift shops! The volunteers who work in the shop are very friendly and helpful! This is a really great place to shop! read more

Prices are kept reasonable as they support THE MORNINGSTAR CHURCH and neighbors in need. Its a very positive place to shop and I no longer donate anywhere else as I feel certain my donated goods will be recycled for good. I go to a lot of thrift stores and this one is not one I will be going back to. I felt judged from the moment I walked in. It almost feels like they know if you go to their church or not because everyone knew each other as they walked in and it wasn't like a , oh hey you come here to thrift all the time. Anyway, place is very small and the prices are okay. Not a lot of selection, looks like the remnants of whatever their parishioners could round up. Usually my experience here is great, with kind employees. Today however, a female employee was extremely rude to my friend and I for no reason. She was impolite and reluctant to answer questions we had about their clothing, and did not even acknowledge us when we were CLEARLY trying to get her attention. Then, at checkout, she made unnecessary and impolite remarks, inferring that my student ID was not current, and that I was trying to get a discount with an invalid student ID. To top it off, she began questioning me if my debit card was actually mine, and demanded to see a proof of identification. I would not be mad if this was the store's policy, but I have never been asked by another employee to do this in the past, and the customers before me were not asked to show identification either! I'm not sure if I was targeted due to my race, or a different reason, but regardless, her behavior was unacceptable and disgusting. This is a great little thrif shop. Its very clean and organized. It doesn't really feel like a thrift shop. I found a pair of vans that still looked like new and barely worn for $10! I'm a big guy so there was not much big guy clothes. But they do have a lot of home items and I even found some video game systems as well. They don't have a huge selection of movies and books but I will definitely be coming back. The best part is that you help support the church's missions by purchasing from this store. read more

I shop there this past Saturday. They were supposed to hold a table for me by the end of the day to pick up. They put my name on it and said hold. The lady told me even if I come back 5 minutes before they close. She won't let me in to pick it up it was also 25% off for the Saturday day. When I came to pick it up. She told me that it was sold while she was gone on her lunch hour. How long ago was her lunch hour I came around 11 in the morning. She has my name she has my email. She could have called or she could have emailed me I'm a regular. My husband and I threw away his old desk. Now we have no desk. Have to go find one. I called the manager of the store. He just made up excuses that it was a mistake. Yeah like a tape name just flies off the table while she's gone on her lunch hour. Manager didn't even ask to see if he could compensate or say he's sorry. Supposed to be a Christian Store instead he was making up excuses. read more
