There is no shortage to the selection. Items are laid out well for the amount of inventory. The employees are very helpful and pleasant. Everything from accessories, Handbags, to clothes and footwear. Definitely an upscale resale shop. I found the prices pretty good with some high end items. After hearing about the purchase policy, I will be looking to expand our relationship from being a customer to becoming a selling agent/customer. There is an additional 25% of savings to be made. This place used to be great, it has gone down tremendously but I guess when you have trash people working there, it's expected. Went in to sell, brought it in one trash bag which is no longer accepted, so the girl at the counter said to put my items in a basket. She already seemed annoyed at the fact that i brought in one trash bag with clothes, and then started to tell me repeatedly at the things they were taking: "we are only taking things for summer, so no jeans no sweaters, no long sleeve tops" I said okay but she kept repeating herself and i finally said okay i get it, im just going to put it in because some of the items are name brand, is that ok?" she said "yeah we can take a look at it" She definitely had an attitude and was very short coming. So I added workout clothes as well (lululemon sport bra, summer clothes people are outside and working out you know). Anyways not even like 10 minutes go by and my name is called which is weird, because I put in a lot of clothes like linen pants, body suits, crop tops, etc. Another girl then tells me they didn't take any of the items today. Mind you I came in with a full bag filed with clothes, you're telling me not ONE piece was taken? That's complete bs and I know it was done on purpose because of the girl and her attitude. I was really shocked so I just said "oh really?, ok" and left. This was the first time I've ever been declined of selling my clothes, and I used to come here for years... I didn't even want to donate the clothes there like I usually have done in the past, went instead to Goodwill where I know my clothes will be much more appreciated. Drove 14 minutes out to Buffalo Exchange in Fullerton and immediately got better customer service with friendly employees. Sold a few of my clothes as well. So save yourself the hassle, drive a few minutes out to Fullerton and sell your clothes there. read more

Ok, so I heard about this place and heard how great it was. I decided to go Christmas shopping for my daughter here, and I am glad I went with my Mother-In-Law because I was overwhelmed. There is so many clothes in there, and they are all name brands and priced very well. Everyone inside was super friendly, and greeted every single person that walked in the door, they even greeted me twice, because I stepped outside to make a phone call and came back in. I will say, it is mostly women's and girl's clothes there were just a few boy's/men's clothes. I would highly recommend this place to any of the ladies out there looking for a cheaper place to buy name brands. read more

And the door was locked after attempting the door that they said to open since one of the doors don't work - I literally saw the lock in place between the frames and it wouldn't budge. There was a blonde female worker who just watched me from the register I waved and pointed to the hours and she ignored me - didn't bother to open the door even though I clearly kept waving and asking why it won't open if the hours of operation are stated - so I walked away to shop else where. The choice of sizes ran from xs-plus size with designer and every day options. Primarily this store has women's clothes, but there is a small men's section. They even have accessories like purses and Disney mini backpacks. Prices are good but the real value is the additional % off colored tags. Upon walking in the store, I wasn't immediately greeted so that was already a small red flag. I had two bags for possible consignment both had high-end contemporary brands like Rag & Bone and AllSaints, even Self Portrait heels they did not take anything of those brands. Even worse one of the bags seem like it wasn't even look through. It was folded the same way that I put it in. Just untouched. It seemed kind of suspicious because they were done way too fast. I'm talking about within a couple minutes. The girl who helped me literally took one pair of shorts and it seemed like fitting with the rest of the stuff that they were selling, which is mostly way lower and fast fashion. Things that you would get at a thrift store for cheaper. So disappointed because Buffalo exchange did way better when I went there earlier today. This place is not at this location. I had went on their instagram page and got this address so I drove to take some clothes to them. I literally drove in circles which was annoying cause I wasn't finding it. So I had to call and when I spoke with a man he stated they are no longer at that location in my head it's like ok then why is it on your guys instagram page? They moved to another city. I wanted to send this review because I was shocked today when I arrived at the Fullerton store. I was told I could no longer sell or buy, and was not welcome in the store. So here goes, after selling and purchasing I was sent a survey from them. I answered the survey honestly which was negative on their behalf. After a second visit I was also sent a survey hoping to improve there business model which was also critical. Inconsistent buying, not knowing good brands etc. when I walked in today I was told I am not welcome and I could no longer buy or sell because I am never happy. In my life I have never been punished for leaving an honest review. Wow what a way to run a business. I was denied the owners contact info which I believe is very telling. I would rather donate for free than go here. I don't need the money just thought it was a good idea at first as they promote sustainability, but I will never do business with a company who treats their customers this way. I went there today Sunday June 16, my day off and was told they weren't buying, because of the holiday and that they didn't have anyone to look through the items. Any day that the business is open there should be one trained person to do the buying. Total waste of time, gas and effort. ;The very least they could have done was put the info on the website so no one comes by for nothing. After reading the response from the business owner I have a somewhat change of heart. I'd like to add the prices in there are reasonable, shelves are well stocked, the ac was blowing cool, and the two workers in there were polite. I will try again maybe before I go to work. When I first walked in, I was not greeted by any of the employees working. As I keep browsing through the store I start noticing quite an unpleasant odor, it just smelled like old stored nasty clothes. The floor was extremely sticky and disgusting as well. There were shoes on the floor everywhere, clothes falling from the rack on the floor. Very messy and unorganized. I never ever write reviews but what really got to me was that I noticed a huge roach crawling around the dresses, i immediately told the tall employee about it and all he did was rolled his eyes and gave me attitude by saying that it's normal for them to see roaches once in a while. read more

I had a really disappointing experience reselling clothes at Uptown Cheapskate. Their website says they accept brands like Madewell, Old Navy, Athleta, Anthropologie, and Obey, so I brought in three bags full of clean, stylish items from those exact brands. When I got there, I was told they only take two bags at a time--even though that policy is not mentioned anywhere on their website. The employee was rude and told me I should've called ahead, which felt completely unreasonable. I've sold clothes at plenty of other places and have never been told to limit my bags like this. They gave me a "10% off coupon" with a sensor on it and told me it would only take 10 minutes to process my items. I had to stay in the store while they reviewed my clothes--you're not allowed to leave with the coupon or it will trigger the alarm. I ended up waiting around for about 45 minutes. After all that, they only took five items and gave me just $18. I was considering using the money toward something else in the store, but the item I liked cost more than I was given, so I just left. Overall, this was a complete waste of time and effort. I made sure to bring in exactly what their website said they were looking for, only to be met with poor communication, unnecessary restrictions, and very little return. I won't be coming back, and I wouldn't recommend it to others trying to resell quality clothing. read more

However, this place is HORRIBLE at giving cash and low ball so much, at first you stop to think if they're joking. Today, I came in with Steve Madden Cobra leather ankle price that retails for $169.99, and I was willing to accept $20, hardly worn since they are platform. These girls literally looked at me and said they offered me store credit of $5 or $6 CASH ‍. Like girly pop. You're joking. They offer a low amount but resale at a price that is way more. Their prices are as if they paid a lot, but low ball. So they should be able to give a decent exchange. BEWARE if you sell on consignment. On May 7, I brought in my LV purse to sell on consignment. The owner was out during this time and contacted me a few days after Mother's Day. She let me know some details around price, posting, etc. She mentioned once it's sold, she would contact me and my check would either be sent or I can pick it up. Based on the conversation, it seemed like it would sell a little slower since Mother's Day had just passed. 2.5 months pass and I called because I hadn't heard back from her. The sales associate let me know that it had been sold about 2 months ago and wasn't sure why the owner hadn't contacted me nor sent my check. She was going to let the owner know so that she can contact me. The owner never contacted me. I called back same day and the sales associate again would follow up. Never received a call. I called the next day. Same thing. Never received a call. Finally on the third day I was able to contact her. She never said apologized or had an explanation to why she never contacted me. I was able to pick up my check but I truly believe she would have never contacted me to pay my portion of the purse. read more

Workers don't want to be there and low ball all items. I went yesterday morning in to sell about five of my things and was immediately greeted with the dryest most unhappy girl in overalls at the front. Very snappy when I simply asked what "20% more store credit" meant in general as I had never sold here before and didn't realize you could get credit instead of cash. Her coworker (a guy) had to answer my question for her. When it came to valuing my items, she claimed she couldn't take a tagged $52 Brick Market Boutique dress I'd bought but never worn because of its "style." Made me laugh considering when I was looking through the store, I saw two other very similar satin dresses on the back wall. She then told me these Brand New Comme Des Garçons, this coach wallet and this backpack were "too worn." The coach wallet I understood as she pointed out a small stain. The one and only item they did buy from me was a tagged Edikted shrug valued at 28 that I honestly could've sold on Depop for $10 but they gave me $4. Not to mention, the entire time I was standing there I had to listen to her rant about all the store's scheduling problems. Wasn't even that upset about it all at first, yet I was still able to sell the wallet, shoes and dress this morning at Buffalo Exchange for $25. Weird right?! read more
