Took baby girl to the mall today because she has been wanting her ears pierced, but has been a little scared to do it until today! So we stopped at Icing and they actually had a deal with piercings today too, so get ears pierced and 3 things for 50% off anything in the store. Walked in and 3 girls were standing by the piercing area and I asked them if they are doing them today they said yes. The employee Vanessa who was amazing and so sweet and gentle with baby girl. Made her feel less scared and worried. Baby girl picked out the 44mm pink stone which is actually her birth stone :) Vanessa was so sweet, she told baby girl it's a tiny pitch and thats it. So she got a bit nervous got the dots on her ears and Vanessa got the piercing gun ready and said are you ready? Baby girl said ok, so I called my husband so he can watch too lol. Couple seconds it was done she didn't cry or anything she got a little hot and flushed after but she was ok sat there for a few and got up excited to pick out some new ones so after Vanessa asked if we wanted to pick out any earrings for after 3 weeks of cleaning she can change her earrings. So she got some stuff, picked out some earrings and a few other things. She is so happy thank you so much Vanessa for making her feel so comfortable and calm during the whole process you are awesome!! I have been coming to Icing for jewelry and hair accessories for about 3 years now and I love it here. The energy is always so high in there and the employees are so helpful. It makes me comfortable enough to ask questions and opinions when i need to since i'm such a shy person. When my ears started to get irritated, the employee with long brown hair showed me their sterling silver earring options. I switched my earrings out and they felt better almost instantly! Completely pissed with a employee there. My 4yr old daughter Is on the spectrum and she was having a moment. At first this employee came up, being king, and asking my 4yr old what's wrong, what's she looking for, just trying to deflect her from not being in a mood. But because my daughter wasn't responding to her and her mood, my daughter was just not communicating. The sales associate walks towards her other worker and says a stark remark, " and this is why I hate fucking kids because kids like that. I hate kids!" I asked her if my daughter did something to upset her and she ignored me and rolled her eyes. I repeated my question and her coworker said "it was nothing" and I told them both I heard what they said and walked away. This associate should NOT work in such places when children are mostly your clientele! She deserves to be fired!! read more

Whenever I need a hair piece or a certain diadem for my daughter, I come here! They always seem to have something I could use. Today I walked up and down the Brea Mall looking for something cuter than what I found here and had no luck! Icing came through once again! There's always sales going on that I usually don't take advantage of because when I come it's usually on a mission to find that one specific item I need but when I come with my little girl, I spend more than I want! That's when those specials come in handy! Some of the merchandise is flimsy. The hair pieces are usually pretty strong! If I get a few uses of the jewelry here I would think that I got my moneys worth! This is not a high end accessory shop. If well taken care of I'm sure the items will last longer! The employees are always nice and helpful when I have a question and believe me I'm always asking questions! If you park on the California Pizza Kitchen side and walk in, go down the stairs and you will be able to find the store! read more

This store doesn't have any knowledge towards their system or their store return policy. First time we tried to return something they said we need the original packing slip. Then we come back and bring the slip then they say their system is "not up to date". There are multiple excuses about "not knowing what's up with their system". First of all i have to thank Mel and Tiffany. There customer service was beyond believable. Made me very aware of the promotions and even helped me with my sudden urge to re pierce my ears. These girls had all of it together and were able to assist me in getting my ears blinged out along with some definitely needed hair accessories. I've had my ears pierced here twice, the last being about a week ago by Katelyn/Caitlyn/Caitlin (sorry I didn't take note of the spelling!) and both experiences were great! I was in the mall and had some time to kill before a dinner date on a Tuesday and I decided to come get 2 upper lobe piercings to fill out my ear. I have a standard earlobe piercing as well as two snug piercings so I wanted to fill up the space. She was really kind and patient when I kept wavering between what earrings I wanted to use. When we finally started the process, I made her redo the dot on my ear a couple times because I wasn't sure exactly where I wanted it and she didn't rush me or grumble at all. She assured me that she just wanted me to love my piercing, which really made the whole experience great! For two piercings it was about $60 bucks, which isn't that different from a parlor! read more

I got my cartilage pierced by Mel and she knew what she was doing! I was sketchy at first to get my ears pierced at icing but Mel was reassuring and positioned my earring where it would compliment my ear the best! Definitely coming back for other piercings in the future read more

If I could do a negative star, I would. I normally don't write reviews, but my experience here was awful. I had gone into this store on Sunday, 11/1/2015, to get some accessories for my hair. As always the male sales associate that works there was stating the specials for ear piercings and jewelry they had going on, whatever. This guy normally will follow you around the store and ask questions and try to push you into buying certain things, which has always been annoying, but not worthy of a review. What this review is for is the charity shaming I experienced here. I had found the items I wanted, and I was at the register when he asked if I wanted to give anything to St Judes. I politely said "no not today." Then proceeded to get my debit card out of my wallet. He then said "are you sure? I'll give you a minute to get your change together." Really ? So then I decline again. (Keep in mind there are 3 people behind me at this point, witnessing this) He then goes to say "well what about the poor children, come on, the children! I could really go on for days about donating- but ok" and finally we complete this transaction. If a customer says they do not wish to donate, do not try to guilt or pressure them into it. It is their hard earned money, not yours. After this experience, I doubt I will ever shop here again, which sucks because I do like the store. But who wants to feel guilty when they are shopping? I really hope his supervisor sees this and corrects this behavior, it's unprofessional and doesn't represent the charity they are raising money for well either. Unless you have the money to donate, so you don't get shamed, don't shop here. read more

Went to Icing at the Brea Mall last night to get my 2 teenagers' ear lobes pierced. Our "piercer" Wyatt could not have been friendlier. He was funny, knowledgeable and put both my kiddos nerves at ease. He dotted their ears, positioned and re positioned until they we were satisfied and at the end of it all they couldn't have been happier. If you're thinking about getting your ears pierced, definitely consider letting Wyatt at Icing do the work. You will not be disappointed! read more

Wyatt pierced my ears about a month ago and he was so fun and energetic! I even brought my friend in to get her ears pierced too. Zana pierced it this time and she made sure everything was perfect. I started going to the Brea Mall about 10 months ago. The first time I walked into Icings I was greeted with a smile and a friendly hello. I was told that everything in the store was buy 3 get three free. A fantastic deal. I found out several weeks later that the sincere greeting and smile was from the manager Wyatt. I am usually at the Brea Mall once a week and always stop into Icings. It's nice to walk into a store and be greeted with a smile. The entire staff is very friendly. I make purchases about 98% of the time. Every deal is a good deal. It does not matter how busy the store is every customer can feel like they have their own personal shopper The employees ask questions and help to provide the exact item(s). Sometimes a customer will say they are just looking but then they make a purchase. Smiles, friendly greetings, helpful staff that's what Icings at the Brea Mall provides.
