    ZippGo moving boxes provided a wonderful service for our move. After seeing some neighbors using a…read morereusable box service, I decided to look into using something similar. ZippGo rents you a certain amount of boxes based on how many rooms/square feet you are moving, and they deliver the boxes to your address, you use them for a move, and they pick them up at the new address. It was easy to schedule and make sure the drop off and pickup worked at an appropriate time. The boxes themselves are sturdy plastic, and the top interlocks so you don't need any packing tape. The boxes fit on top of each other which makes them easy to stack and move. You can also pick box inserts that are designed for plates and glassware which made it so easy to move these items. I would recommend ZippGo in a heartbeat- it made our move faster, easier, and more eco friendly too!

The difference in packing efficiency was so noticeable compared to my last few moves using their system, that I reached out to ZippGo this morning with a last-minute request to switch over. Even though their driver was already on the road, Sarah was incredibly responsive and quickly worked out solutions to get me what I needed in record time. Sarah and her driver, Javier's, dedication to customer service was truly impressive. That said, I'd recommend planning ahead rather than making last-minute requests like I did! Note that their drivers don't work on Sundays and Mondays, so be sure to schedule your box deliveries in advance. ZippGo's reusable box system is a genuine time-saver that makes moving so much easier and more streamlined. 10/10 would recommend to anyone moving!

They arrived promptly at 10am, and brought all the materials needed to help pack up my apartment thoroughly and safely, including hand carts, plastic wrap, and moving blankets. After arriving at my new home they paid careful attention to where I wanted my items placed, and even put down rugs in my living room and office before the heavy furniture was assembled. They are communicative, careful, kind, and incredibly professional. They even mailed me an item I left behind in their moving truck! I would recommend them 100%, and will definitely be using them for any future moves I need to do.

I was moving to Sacramento so was really wanting an early start, the earliest they could get to Novato was 10:00. If I wanted to pay an additional ~$200, they could be there an hour earlier.. after they picked up the lease truck. They showed up and got to work right away, the first stack of 3 totes was placed on a moving dolly which promptly tipped over and spilled the contents in the street. I suggested they use my handcart going forward, which they did. The crew was excellent, worked diligently through the day, no complaints. The issue came at the end of the very long and stressful day. The final bill I was presented with ( hand scrawled on a generic "Job Order" form) was way off the agreed price. Items that were quoted in email as being included were charged, additional costs for extra labor hours (an hourly rate was never mentioned, discussed, or agreed to).Similarly there was a charge for trucking. Trucking was casually mentioned, but with no approximation of costs. I called the owner to seek some resolution, but he became very defensive, and actually lied about what was agreed to.The exchange quickly devolved into a argument which ended up with the owner hanging up on me. To me this whole episode is a classic case of "bait and switch", low bid to get the work - extraa charges to follow. If you are happy with that, then on your own head be it, you have been warned.

So they arrived without the keys to open the back of the truck so they had to wait for their boss to bring the keys. Then after they loaded the took what I assume was a 70 minute lunch break because when I called to see where they were they said they finished loading 40 minutes ago and they were taking another 30 minutes. Conveniently this mandatory break postponed their driving time to coincide with peak hour traffic turning a 50 minute drive into 2 hours. They arrive at 12:00pm to start loading this exact move was performed by another company 12 months early and was completed in around 3 hours. This move took until 5:30 pm. They turned a 3 hour job into billed me for 5:30 hours. I was furious because I had been waiting for them to arrive for around 2 hours. They talked to their manager and he offered me a discount which I understood to be a reduction in price to $350 after having paid around $750. However they ended up charging me an additional $350. When I called to discuss this they claimed that was a reduction in what they should have charged me!! This experience was ridiculous and wreaks of unethical business practices. I definitely do not recommend doing business with them.

He walked me through every step of the process, answered all of my questions, and even helped me find every available discount. From the very first phone call, I felt I was in great hands. When the moving team arrived, Sasha (Alex), Zhenya (Eugene), and Sergey (Serge), that's when the real magic happened. These three are like modern day Spartans: strong, precise, efficient and incredibly patient. They immediately earned my complete trust. I was moving from a two-bedroom apartment (Dublin, CA to Danville, CA) filled with fragile furniture, glass pieces, mirrors, artwork, and a massive 9 foot tall, extremely heavy mirror. I honestly didn't think it was possible to move everything without damage. The way they wrapped and protected every single item was beyond impressive. There was simply no chance anything could break. They completed the entire move, including carefully wrapping, loading, transporting, unloading, and placing everything exactly where I wanted it, in less than 8 hours. My movers communicated when they would arrive and showed up on time. I feel they overall handled my belongings with care and things went smoothly and efficiently. I was moving things from a 10x10 storage unit into a 1 bedroom apartment about an hour and a half away, with 1 stop to pick up a couch along the way. Total time took about 5.5 hours. On the other hand, things got weird when it was time to pay. I didn't appreciate feeling pressured when they tried to tell me that a 30% tip was the standard. I gave them 20%, which I felt was a good tip and standard for a good job. I was also pressured into writing both a Yelp and Google review, leaving them 5 stars as they hovered over me. I am coming back and editing my review now that I've had time to reflect on things. This explains all of the 5 star reviews!

They completed a downsizing and move…read morefrom a 4 bedroom home to a 1+ bedroom assisted living residence that would have been impossible to be tackled by anyone else. The services included drawing layout options that would show some of our furnishings in the new residence -- which wasn't much! The majority of our home's belongings were organized into items moving with us, donations, possible consignment, landfill, and limited storage. The team members were very positive and upbeat -- "fast" is an understatement and they definitely worked well together. While it's unfortunate that the speed prevented more oversight than my husband or I could give (therefore, losing several items), the job was completed given the timeline we pressed for. Of course, we'd still be in boxes if unpacking wasn't done for us. So relieved that chore was provided as well. And pictures got hung on the wall, too. We can't recommend them enough for a much valued service.

When it came time to deal with the rest of the items in the house, a staggering amount of stuff, Libby and her crew showed up precisely on time and got straight to work; sorting, stacking, packing and moving -- I have seldom seen a more efficient group of people at work, a real team of professionals. Our experience was fantastic, we looked at each other several times during this move and said "thank goodness for Libby". I can't possibly say enough nice things or recommend her and her team at Senior Settlers highly enough. They are worth every penny - and more.
