I am so happy today after Melendez Tree Service completed their work, trimming and skinning my palm…read moretrees. Before laying down all new mulch, I wanted to clean up the trees. When Luis Melendez arrived, he did so with a huge chipper machine and a huge box truck to haul away other refuse. In addition he arrived himself and three other men. I assumed there would be only two but three was a great idea. The men proceeded to the backyard where they received their directive from the boss, Luis and began without question. Owner Luis Melendez personally trained this and his other teams out on the jobs in the field. Mr. Luis Melendez had everything and everyone under control and on schedule. He watched to make sure all men were proceeding safely and they already knew not to step on my ground plants. He also inspected every phase of them trimming three different type of palms and added any spontaneous comments to his men while working. Whereas I thought the skinning process was done by machine, it was actually done one by one and layer after layer on the trunks of the trees. His men were careful and diligent in their mission. What a site to watch them using a chain saw, a hand saw and utility knives to create an artistic pattern of the rings of the tree as it had grown. All is so well done and a pleasure to view. Luis M. also told me the exact names of each different palm and that different types of cutting are often required. Before dropping palm leaves which are quite long and heavy, they had spread a tarp on my patio to protect it. They picked up all the palm leaves, the many skins, raked the grounds and swept the refuse. The patio was left clean. I did not have to do anything. The Team was finished with all the trees and trunks in one hour. You would not know any work had taken place except for the beautifully clean and elegant palms which will contribute to the a lovely look for my backyard. This is the type of contractor with whom I prefer to deal. Mr. Melendez; from the beginning, was courteous and professional.I would recommend him highly and surely call on him again for more service. He is completely trustworthy & skilled. 8/20/26

We have resigned ourselves to just sending text messages back and forth as needed. "It's that time of the year again Ezra. Here's how my trees look. Can you give me an updated quote?" He's a very busy man so he may not be the fastest on responses but I'm telling you, it is worth the wait. As other people have said, Ezra's quotes are always the best. I do occasionally comp shop with other services just to see how things line up, but even with everything going on, with the cost of fuel going up and labor costs going up, Ezra has never tried to gouge me. His increases that have come up year to year always make sense and are very reasonable and expected. His crew comes in ON TIME, they professionally trim and take out the trimmed portions of trees, put it all into their chipper, and get it right out. They are very clean, fast, efficient, and always reliable. I highly recommend them and I don't know why I haven't Yelped about them before! Get your quote now.

Daniel stopped by our house to give us a quote to trim our grapefruit tree and remove a tree stump. After speaking with a few companies, we felt like Elene's was the best option. He took the time to talk about the project, how to properly care for and trim citrus trees, and he was able to schedule the project for the next day. They came by and completed everything quickly and did an amazing job. After the project was completed we were able to have them back out in a few days to plant shrubs and transplant a hibiscus tree! Again, quick, efficient and job well done. Next we plan to work with them to trim our giant pine, and help us create a planter wall- two things that've been on our "list" for a long time. Over all working with this company was a great experience. I highly recommend them! Also- pricing was very reasonable, and aligned with other quotes we received.

As someone who has been caring for my Crepe Myrtle for the past 17 years, I'm pretty particular about how it's trimmed. Even this "crazy tree guy" couldn't have been happier with the results! In addition to the Crepe Myrtle, the crew pruned two Queen Palms and three very tall Italian Cypress trees. Professional, courteous, skilled, and meticulous. I was in search of a currently licensed and bonded reliable, reasonably priced, tree trimming…read morecompany to tackle nine (09) trees in our front and backyard that needed a lot of TLC. I started researching on Yelp and read a lot of great reviews for several local companies. But one company stood out just a bit more which I decided to inquire with: Golden Oak Tree Care. At first I used the Yelp messaging to initiate contact with Reynaldo, the owner, but soon switched to text messaging. He was very quick to respond to my inquiries, needs and pricing after I sent (upon his request) photographs of the nine trees that needed attention. We agreed upon a very reasonable price, then set up a date and time for him and his crew to perform the work. My wife was home so she met the two gentleman that work with Reynaldo. They arrived at the designated timeframe and were very cordial and polite according to my wife. They quickly went to our backyard to prep for their trimming. Reynaldo arrived shortly afterwards but before I arrived home from work. Upon arrival I met him and his crew. All three were really cool and answered all of my questions regarding the types of services they do besides tree care and what they do not do. That was really great news for me since I have several more landscaping projects I can request Reynaldo and his crew to help me out with. Reynald inquired with me if I would like my shrubbery trimmed as well. After deciding which shrubs needed attention, he indicated the additional amount to our original agreed upon amount, to which I agreed to and requested he take care of our shrubs. Again, his pricing is very fair and reasonable.

Then he started on the ash tree. He cut off huge sections at once that would swing down out of control. The first landed on my fence. The next few cuts brought huge limbs swinging into my house and damaging my new roof. I stopped the work and asked Fernando what we were going to do about all this damage. He asked me to go pick up materials and said he would fix my new roof and fence himself. After seeing his poor workmanship halfway into the day, I thought hiring him to do roofing work would be a very bad idea. We couldn't come to an agreement so I fired him on the spot and hired a real professional company to finish the work.
