I pass this place daily, zoomin' by I'd see Philadelphia something. The video gave a full explanation and why I need to put Philadelphia Grille in my lunch rotation. Walking inside, I know what I want. Steak with white american cheese with the works (onions, peppers, and hot peppers) There's an option for mayo, I'm not sure who's getting mayo on their cheesesteak but hey, you do you! The owner comes to the front and I tell him I saw this spot on social media. Everything looks amazing, I can't wait to try my sandwich. How long have you been in business? I'm expecting 18 months, he tells me over 30 years?? Wow! Not only is Philadelphia Grille a sandwich shop but they're also serving pizza for decades. I must point out, Philadelphia Grille is a very small spot. Walking inside, you're faced with a small counter. Once you have your food, they have tables and chairs in a covered lanai. I'd be a chilly Billy eating my sandwich so I took it to go. Once I get back to my Brooklyn Fortress of Solitude I dig in. The cheesesteak my way? Dynamite. Italian bread from Brooklyn wrapping up a cheesy meat fest. Philadelphia Grille did everything right in Brooklyn! I can't wait to come back and try the roast pork. And then mix it up the following week with a grilled chicken sammy.

Delicious pizza that satisfies every time. Phone/registry staff are very pleasant and helpful, and they're always willing to confirm our allergy concerns with the kitchen. After waiting ten minutes, we found a young waitress in the back and were told to seat ourselves. When another couple arrived, she became the sole server for both tables. The service was poor throughout. She didn't offer menu suggestions, simply asking if we were ready to order. When we requested drinks, she brought the wrong items like Diet Pepsi instead of Diet Coke, and seltzer water instead of Sprite. She then disappeared for an extended period, spending most of her time at the host stand rather than checking on tables. We ate without drinks. We wanted to ask for more bread she was no where to be found. The neighboring couple had similar issues, mentioning she forgot their coffee order entirely. While we sympathized that she may have been new or inexperienced, the lack of attentiveness and basic service fundamentals made for an uncomfortable dining experience that didn't match the restaurant's reputation. The ambiance seemed very old school and family friendly. There were a ton of tables but it was also very cold like the heater at the restaurant wasn't working. The food took a long time, the food was great but honestly we didn't ask for anything big. It was just spaghetti and chicken parm.

To order for Pardon My Cheesesteak you MUST do it through the app. If you know what you want, he will take your order at the counter & then you pay at the Welsh Farm register. The menu for PMC is on the wall behind the counter, but that's for the employees to see. A very confusing start. Anyway, I ordered the Chipotle Cheesesteak. I happened to be there when the worker was finishing my sandwich & he said to me "I have bad news for you. There's no more chipotle sauce," as he struggled to get just a few globs onto my cheesesteak. He told me if I come back another day, he'll be sure to put extra sauce on my cheesesteak, & I told him "you never have a 2nd chance to make a 1st impression," but we were both able to laugh about the situation. My rating is based upon the taste & presentation of the cheesesteak itself, as the amount of chipotle was just enough to tease my palate with how much better it could have been with that sauce on it. So, at some point I guess I'll go back & give it another go & adjust the rating from there. I definitely feel it can go up. Large sandwich, FULL of gooey & delicious cheese, cooked onions. Grades: "Chipotle" Cheesesteak: B

Pastrami on rye with spicy mustard absolutely slapped. Smoky, juicy, perfectly stacked, and messy enough to ruin your shirt with honor. Then came the beef brisket on rye with a cup of au jus for dipping... and brother, that dip should be studied by scientists. Pure perfection. Washed everything down with a Dr. Brown's root beer like it was 1957. No fake trendy nonsense. No deconstructed sandwiches. Just old-school deli greatness that punches you directly in the soul.
