We went in to buy some goodies for the kiddies. We had heard the bakery was bought by new owners in the past couple of months. The bakery is being renovated and it looks nice. It seemed to have the same inventory ( cakes, cupcakes, pies, scones and cookies) so we decided on some cookies and a mini apple crumb. We had opened up the pie later in the day. When we tasted it I don't know it seemed to have been sprayed with some sort of chemical. That's what it tasted like! Wether it was oven cleaner, or cleaner in general. For the pie of what I did taste the apples were raw. Not like al dente but crunchy and unappetizing. The flavoring was off not sweet at all. There was something raw and slimy in between the crumb topping and the apples. I think It was probably one of the worst pies I have ever purchased! It's really a shame! read more

Hi. Just wanted to let any diabetics know that the Bakery, Mother Mousse, is unable to provide information about the amount of carbs in a cupcake. My diabetic student was part of a class party for her birthday month and the response from Mother Mousse was "maybe a diabetic shouldn't be having a cupcake". So the school nurse had to look a child in the eye and tell her she couldn't have a cupcake because Mother Mousse couldn't provide the number of carbs. They said they're a small business and aren't able to provide nutritional or carb components. Also, they're not a nut free facility. Just a PSA! read more

My son bought me a $50 small cake from mother moose for my birthday. It was stale and dry. We brought the cake back the next day and we told that there was nothing wrong with the cake and that they could not reimburse us or give us a store credit. The owner was very rude and I will never shop here again! It is so sad to see how customer service has gone by the wayside especially in an economy where small businesses are struggling to stay afloat. Great service as usual and such a friendly atmosphere. Very delicious and tasty pastries of different varieties. We bought several different parfaits and a Black and White 8 inch cake as well. The parfaits we got were rice pudding cups, strawberry shortcake cups, and a small white mousse cake with raspberry sauce. They really surprised us when we got there. We got the Black and White cake for half price. For the strawberry shortcake cups, there was a buy two get one free deal. For the rice pudding, there was a buy one get one free deal. Due to this pandemic, they are supporting our community. They are creating these deals and lowering prices. Many people have lost their jobs and can't afford to celebrate any type of occasion. How unfair and selfish is this? Although the CDC recommends that we all wear masks, why is the manager of this bakery openly working with customers close contact without one. Every patron who was in the store had on a mask and practiced social distancing. She moved around without a mask and without a care.
