4/5 Rainbow cookie lovers, this one's for you! We are OBSESSED with all things rainbow, so when we stumbled upon Belli Baci Bakery's booth at the Feast of San Gennaro, we knew we had to stop and support this Staten Island bakery! Naturally, we ended up buying almost one of everything. The surprising highlight of our little rainbow dessert haul? The rainbow cookie cupcake! This was hands down our favorite of everything we tried. 5/5 stars! We also really enjoyed the rainbow cookie cannoli, which was such an interesting and creative take on two classic Italian desserts. The traditional rainbow cookie was pretty decent, too! We had actually been wanting to try Belli Baci specifically for their rainbow donut, so we were really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, the donut was a little dry this time around. I'm not sure if it was because we purchased it at the festival rather than directly from the bakery, but I'd definitely be curious to try one freshly made at their Staten Island location. Overall, I really appreciate their concept of offering so many different rainbow-inspired treats. It's such a fun idea, especially for those of us who can't resist a good rainbow cookie! I also spotted someone walking away with a cannoli latte, which looked SO interesting. Next time, we might have to share one of those, too! Despite the slightly disappointing donut, we really enjoyed trying Belli Baci's creations, and that rainbow cookie cupcake alone deserves another visit. We'll definitely be stopping by their actual bakery the next time we make our way out to Staten Island! We hope they come back to Bensonhurst or Brooklyn in the near future. read more

Stopped by on a weekday. Heard they're known for the rainbow cookie/cake. It's an ok bakery. I prefer royal crown. The rainbow cake/slice was delicious though! The other pastries I had--weren't really all that. The berry tart kinda threw me off, it's more of whip cream which Im not a fan of. The rainbow cake was a hit though. read more

The flavor of the oil and dough come through in their American styled doughnuts. The semi thick icing adds another layer of well thought out flavor without adding too much sugar shock. My favorite is the plain donut with a hole middle and chocolate icing. The pastries such as the danish are only worth three stars since I prefer the French standard. It's too hard and the flavorful fruit is sweeter than I prefer. The 4 stars are for the simple doughnuts with a hole in the middle. The custom ones are too dry or perhaps old. Examples include the apple cider donut and the one with red and green cake inside, covered in chocolate icing. read more

We ordered the cookie monster rainbow slice, a rainbow cupcake/ muffin, and 7 layer donut. My husband and I took a bite of each of these and immediately into the trash they went. The donut is not pictured because once we peeled the wrapper off, it looked like disgusting slop. That was the third item we tried of the three we purchased and I was just angry. My dreams of sweets became a nightmare. We saw the Cookie Monster Rainbow Slice on IG a few months ago. While on Staten Island we decided to stop in and try a few things. The brownie on the top of the cake was extremely low quality. Did they just get cosmic brownie and stick it on top? Honestly, that would have been much better if they had actually done that. The cake was moist, but had a very odd flavor - it tasted like almond extract or almond paste. I don't understand how that belongs in this cake, but I guess someone thought it was good. We usually get our seven layer donuts from Alfonso's and we will continue doing so. This was a serious miss. We were disappointed because everything looks so good on their social media/ website. We will certainly not be returning. I won't be fooled twice by pretty pictures. read more

Belli Baci has so much more than just great desserts. The pastries and cakes are amazing, but the sandwiches, pizza, and prepared food are just as good. Everything is fresh and there's always plenty to choose from. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area! read more

We were leary to purchase pastry because of some of the reviews. But we gave it a try and we're so glad we did. The tri colored cupcakes, donuts and triangle were delicious and fresh and perfect. The fruit tart was delicious. We had the chocolate mouse and it wasn't excessively sweet just right. Strawberry shortcake was great. Bottom line Im glad we gave them a chance and will be purchasing from them in the future. read more

Their website shows the bakery is open until 8 pm daily. Drove from New Jersey & arrived at 7:05 to be told they were closed. Advised staff we drove from an hour away to try & would pay cash. We would see there were numerous things still available.Completely unaccommodating. Not good customer service at all!!! read more

Nothing was fresh. Last August (I never posted a review about it) I ordered a dozen donuts in different flavors for a bday. Some were the wrong flavors, none of them seemed fresh. Today, my husband saw an IG video comparing their 7 layer donut to another bakeries and they said this one was better, he had a craving so I stopped in to get two 7 layer donuts, a chocolate frosted donut and grabbed a cheese crumb danish. Again, nothing was fresh. I'm not sure if the donuts aren't fresh bc they are out in open on a shelf all day uncovered which seems like a really dumb way to store them or if bc they aren't baked fresh but either way I'm over them. Even the cheese danish was a waste, hardly any filling and dry as can be. Sad to see it but this isn't the first time. read more

One of the BEST bakeries in Tottenville. It's my favorite. Everything is always delicious and the service is so friendly. They're always helpful and accommodating to my requests. Most recently I placed an order for a gluten free cake and it was phenomenal. One of my absolute favorites from there is their apple crumb cake. It's worth every calorie. The place is always decorated so beautifully for every occasion and it's clean. read more

They have the bomb donuts. Special ones like peanut butter and jelly. Amazing cakes and food. I just want everything when I go in there. The best thing to date was the piñata cake which was expensive but I'd get it again for an occasion in a second. It was a hit. It looks super sweet but the cake and frosting is actually not too sweet. It was just perfect. I usually can't eat frosting and just eat the cake but this was so amazing. I drove half an hour there and half an hour back read more

I really love the food but the service is rough when you order food you have to double check your order because they always forget something (legit 4 times in a row got home and had to go back) and then if you order via 3rd party app they don't check it even when it says confirmed you walk in and they scramble and tell you 5 mins and it is another 15-20( multiple times) though it was bad days but happens so frequently it needs to be addressed. Food is great but service is something to be desired..... read more

The best rainbow cookie I've ever had in my life. Belli baci is THE spot for rainbow/ 7 Layer lovers (cakes, cupcakes, doughnuts, cookies, cheesecake - what?!). All the desert is incredible, but the sandwiches are equally outstanding. Definitely recommend the Caesar Sandwich with grilled or fried chicken, the dressing and bread are heavenly. Bonus if Jessica is working, Jessica will help you navigate all the wonderful choices, while making sure your experience is top notch. read more

Belli Baci supposedly is a part of the establishments that sell surprise bags on the Too good to go app. Well, surprise, surprise when I showed up to pick up my purchase-at the alloted time and after paying in advance- and the store was locked! My husband knocked on the door, someone appeared inside, said "I don't have the Key, wait ", and then disappeared. After waiting outside for 10 minutes, I left. The sign on the door ( and their website) states they are open until 6. I arrived at 4:50. Why participate with this app, and make a commitment to sell something they have no intention to honor?! Why didn't the man inside the store have the decency to come back to the door and give some kind of explanation? I wasted my time and money today and am very disillusioned about Belli Baci. I would not recommend this business. read more

LOVE IN EVERY BITE!!!! Always the best! My family has been coming to Belli Baci forever. First thing on a Sunday morning for bread, for a treat, for their amazing donuts, pastries.....Anything! Most of all, it is their cake. We trust them to make the delicious cakes for our family occasions: the send off cake for our son to boot camp, our daughter's 30th birthday cake, countless anniversaries, and most recently, this beautiful Minnie Mouse Cake for my precious granddaughter. It was the prettiest cake I'd ever seen for a 2 year old! I just want to thank you all for the extra loving care you put into each detail. It shows. Love in every bite. read more

Review is mainly for the desserts. While there was definitely more than what my photo provides, dessert wise and actual food, I'm not so sure I would return since I really wasn't that impressed. The bakery seems to be a local favorite but I was pretty let down. The Oreo was pretty bad... if my kids said it tasted weird, and what kid generally doesn't like Oreos, then it's further confirmation - the cream just tasted sour. The Cookie Monster was just a recolor and variation of jelly used for the typical rainbow cookies so it wasn't too bad. The cookie butter brownie was the best. The Boston cream for the price is hands down the best place to go for donuts instead of the popular chains for the same price - it's almost twice and big and twice the amount of cream. All in all, with each thing in my photograph except for the donut being around $4-5, I'd suggest not bothering despite the local rave it gets read more

I've ordered from here 4-5 times because of the lunch specials. Unfortunately, they answer the phone & LEAVE YOU ON HOLD or hang up on you. The next time I ordered, they gave me OLD fried chicken cutlet! I could taste how STALE the chicken was. Their customer service is HORRIBLE !! And the last time which led to this review was that I called an order in for a buffalo chicken wrap to be on a HERO ..the girl over the phone said I could substitute.. when I came in ..my buffalo chicken was on a HAMBURGER BUN.. never again !! My wife came in yesterday to get Pignoli cookies to bring them home for me and the family back in Raleigh North Carolina. This place the most phenomenal bakery if you want to get in touch with your inner fat girl, FYI. The people here are awesome and the pastries are to die for. Four words: Rainbow. Cookie. Crumb. Cake. The cannolis are on point, they have peanut butter jelly donuts, breads rolls and other authentic Italian cookies. If you are ever in the area, you need to come here. Might I add their hours are pretty extensive, so it is not hard to come here on a Sunday. read more

this was my first time ordering from here. I had ordered a donut board as the one on the website was perfect. the board a received was nothing like the website. I didn't make a huge fuss when I picked it up however, the employee was very rude and seemed annoyed that I was asking for additional help as I needed to purchase an additional dessert since the donuts were awful. I was advised I was given the donuts they had that day. I bought another cake as I knew no one would eat the donuts. I was not offered a refund or discount. Don't get me wrong but the pastries are good here and there's no doubt about that but there's some issues. I came in on a Sunday when bakeries should be on their A game and what did I see? Multiple fat fly's around and landing on food out in the open. Lots of bare hands on employees. Food counters look visibly dirty. Some of their pastries looked like they were passed their shelf life. The place is also kind of dark. Maybe add some lighting? Overall an unpleasant trip to this bakery when there's plenty of options on this island. read more

I drove here last week and thought it was out of business then 2 days later voila Grand Reopening. The baked goods all looked amazing and not generic like so many Italian bakeries, this was the real deal. We mostly came for lunch since that's what they were renovating for. It was hard to choose but settled on -the Roast beast sandwich. House made beef, gravy, onions and mozz w/fries on the side. This was hot, fresh messy and big. The 2 of us shared it and they cut it in half for us. It was so large I still took some home. I also wanted to try an app -the Philly cheesesteak empanada-crunchy yummyness. The service was not ideal, it seemed like they were mostly paying attention to regular customers. It was only the 2nd day they were open so I'm sure they will be on point next time. We had restraint and only ordered a Lindzer Tart and a chocolate glazed donut. They were both outstanding especially the donut. I will be back read more

Thank you fellow Yelpers for leading us here. Furthermore, for advising us of the rainbow cookie crumb cake! We LOVED it. My husband has already requested this as his next birthday cake (3 months away!). The intent of the visit was a cannoli, however they did not have, or were out of, the large ones. So, in deciding if all we wanted was mini cannolis, it hit me like a rainbow that we should try THE cake. Boy, were we glad we did. Service, when we came to the store it was empty. The counter workers were very pleasant and helpful. Only complaint, there were no napkins available! They gave us paper towels, but I found that a bit odd. We will 100% be back. read more

just found out about this bakery/cafe and i couldn't be happier! i'm forever remembering it as some of the best breakfast i've had on staten island, for many reasons. i ordered the belli baci breakfast, which for $6 comes w eggs, THE BEST crispy homefries you might ever eat, fresh-made toast, and coffee. first of all, the value for the price is incredible. secondly, even though the dish was simple, it was made very well. i always order my eggs over-medium and it's rare that a place gets them just right. belli baci got them just right. the toast was from one of their loaves, so it was perfectly crispy and fluffy. the potatoes were definitely crispy and packed w flavor--do eat them w the onions they sprinkle on top. you won't regret it. i can eat the potato skins by themselves. i added ketchup to them but i easily could've had them without. their cook knows what they're doing. also, my photo doesn't do this dish justice! my boyfriend and his mother got the papas eggwich ($7), which also comes w the homefries, and they were equally happy and pleased. lastly, we bought about 8 pastries for new year's eve we will be trying later tonight. i can't comment on them yet, but i can say that the service was excellent. the ladies working at the front were busy, working hard with grace and kindness. even though they had their hands full, they still made sure everyone and everything was taken care of. i'd love to come back here to try the rest of their menu. thank you for brightening up my morning! read more

My sister called 3 days ago to order a variety of CRONUT flavors for my husband's birthday party. Each Cronut cost $3.50 each. Unfortunately nothing went well for this experience at all. I can't see how people talk so highly of this place. When walking in it looked like world war three hit the store. No one greeted us for the first couple of minutes we were in the store and as we were asking about the cakes the girl was asking the other girl from way across the store. Finally we open the cake tonight and it doesn't look fresh. It Has an "odd" odor and a brave sole tasted it and said it tasted funny. So I'm sorry to say we won't be going back to this place.. read more
