BS"D I hate to try new restaurants, but the menu looked great--varied and lots of dishes--so I went with some foodie family members. The menu was extensive, including salads, pasta, wraps, pizza and fish. Every dish we ordered was a winner and the service was friendly and good. The warm, enthusiastic owner even offered to make a special middle-Eastern dish for us if we gave her 2 days notice! read more

Must say, I love the Timaruse and Avocado Sushi. We stopped here for some healthy gourmei type of fancy restaurant. Felt like family when we had a warm welcome inside. Pizza was good here. Nothing beats a real New York Pizza. Never had Avocado Sushi, it was delicious. Nice waiter served us. Good selection of drinks here. Nothing is really bad on the pricey side. So please come visit Island Cafe. You might like what you see and taste. read more

The only thing that I really liked about this place was that it was quiet and it had seating available. Unfortunately I only brought a credit card so my friend has to pay for my meal because only he had cash. It's not often that you go to a restaurant that doesn't accept credit cards. I had a lox and cream cheese wrap and an avocado sushi roll with brown rice. I have had the same lox and cream cheese wrap elsewhere and it tasted much better. But it was nice that they have an option to have a whole wheat wrap. The sushi was disgusting and mushy. The rice tasted wet. I hate sushi like that. To me good quality fresh sushi the rice isn't wet and mushy. And to add to that I thought there should have been more avocado in the sushi, and less rice. Plus they charged extra for brown rice, which is not something I am used to paying extra for. They add a 10% gratuity to the bill as well. Not a fan of places who do that. And my friend wanted to leave a tip because he thought he should tip more but the waiter was like that's ok don't bother. That was kind of weird and awkward. ****I think this place's name has changed. My reciept showed this address but listed the business name as "Sushi Corner". Pictures on this Yelp account match what the inside of the restaurant looked like. read more

Amazing food. Pizza is phenomenal. Delicious, especially their mushroom pizza! Sushi is incredible. I really love this place. THIS PIZZA IS THE BEST PIZZA I HAVE EVER TRIED! read more

The lovely staff turned around a big order for an event with delicious bagels and spreads. Very friendly and would definitely recommend!

Maybe I came during a weird time. The lighting was dim, the store had a funky smell to it, and things looked kinda..filthy. Looked like I was more likely to get murdered than get food. At the time there was only two people. I assume one was a sushi chef during his break, and the other was the cashier. The cashier was friendly, and answered my questions well. So, I really DO feel bad about giving a bad review, but...I can't in good consciousness give a good one after going through that atmosphere. (Seriously, and it's not like I came around closing time, it was mid day on a Tuesday) For what it's worth, I did like the ice cream? It was nice and creamy and so on. I went there specifically to get vegan ice cream, and I was hoping they'd be a variety of flavors. But here's the thing, if you want vegan ice cream, you're better off buying it from a supermarket. They have exactly three flavors, vanilla, chocolate, and snickerdoodle. Basically, what you can buy in any supermarket. read more

Great staff, very nice and friendly, there also a cafe and offer food which is nice. The place is not too big but it wasn't really busy neither when I had went. They offer lots of different flavor types of ice cream and shakes, they also have vegan, kosher and non dairy products which is cool. I had me a nice pistachio milkshake and it was so good. It was tasty and smooth and had a nice crunch from the peanuts in it. Only thing is that it cost me $6.00 and it wasn't even a big cup! So that was my only down fall. But there really nice and clean in there and the other flavors look really good too. read more

Scoops has SO much more than ice cream, but their ice cream is delicious too... and guess what? They have VEGAN ICE CREAM! I think this is the only place on Staten Island that has vegan ice cream. Chocolate, butter pecan, and much more. They make all of their foods fresh. They bake FRESH BAGELS every day. The man that runs Scoops is super nice, so if you have a preference, he'll make what you want for you. They do juices, smoothies, breakfast, salads, paninis, wraps, and Mediterranean dishes. Their food is cheap. You can get a full meal for under $10. It's local, it's yummy, it's personable. The decor definitely isn't top notch, but it's definitely a nice neighborhood cafe, and I would recommend coming here. Oh! And there are a bunch of vegan, vegetarian and kosher options. read more

I had a toasted bagel with egg and cheese. I was happy with the quality of my order, the speed of preparation, the price, and the gentlemen that served me. Great place for a low key and quick brunch. read more

So unbelievably rude and arrogant I have used this place a countless number of times to cater for me once I didn't get a receipt and when I requested it the person on the phone told me he doesn't care and too bad for me what happens in peoples minds like you're in the hospitality business learn customer service read more

Nice place, delicious food. The mozzarella sticks were the best I've ever tasted, made with fresh cheese, not the dried version. Out of this world. Also had avocado sushi and eggplant parmesan, which were both very good. Very pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff. Not fancy, but good food and owners seem like nice people. Prices are very reasonable for a cafe. BTW, they do accept credit cards. Not sure why it's listed that they don't. read more

Food was great. Would highly recommend the salmon teriyaki with an avocado salad on the side. The owner is the man! read more

Nice lil spot! Good, fresh Mediterranean faire and delicious sushi!! Great service too!!

Friendly staff. Prices are ok. Owner is extremely friendly and genuinely cares about what goes on. Clean and professional.

Excellent food! They came highly recommended by the party center as a Kosher caterer for their facility. I catered my sons' birthday parties and tried them for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised and received rave reviews from our guests. They now have a repeat customer! read more

I love this place! My best friend and I come here for breakfast. I usually have the veggie omelet and she has the spinach omelet, both with salad. We also have the iced vanilla frappe...OMG I don't know what they put in this (I think it's real vanilla bean) but it tastes amazing, like a milkshake! The last time we went we had the falafel with hummus and tahini. Everything they make tastes fresh and delicious plus the owners are very kind and attentive. They cook with love! read more

The breads and pitas are to die for. Great place for a snack or light meal. Highly recommend.

We had breakfast at Island Cafe with our family. Everything was fresh and delicious. Would highly recommend this cafe.

Their paninis are great but make sure to ask for them to be well done other wise they will not be melted inside. they are also quite expensive. we had two coffees and two small ice creams and walked out with a 12 dollar bill! makes Dunkin and Baskin look cheap! read more

I tried their vegetable soup and avocado panini. Everything was made fresh and was absolutely delicious. This is a kosher restaurant so be aware of some menu item limitations for non Jewish diners (no bacon). The owner was very friendly and kind enough to let me sample some ice cream. It was tasty and probably better during the summer. This restaurant goes way beyond ice cream. They make wraps, salads, bagels. pizza and more. I will be back for sure read more

Really great kosher food if you're looking for dairy options. We've gotten food from here twice). Got a mix of things ranging from a pizza pie (which was really good), to assorted salads and wraps. Best Kosher food place in Staten Island. Always fresh, so healthy. I eat here every week and always go here for catering.

found out about this treasure from my daughter who lives in queens - we went in cause i "wanted to check it out" and since there isnt too many places to choose from in staten island that are kosher, i really wanted it to be good, but was prepared to be disappointed - BOY WAS I WRONG!!!!! The salads are enormous, the additions are so very reasonable and NOT stingy. The place is spotless and the owners are warm and welcoming. PLEASE frequent this eatery so we can keep it open and have a great place to go for lunch or just a snack!!!! read more

Awesome food, great prices just a bit slow to get your food but food is so good you live with the slowness.
