    ARANCINI DI RISO

I'll start by saying service was outstanding. Complimentary focaccia bread is delicious. My appetizer of arancini was perfect. Cacio e Pepe in cheese wheel is all show but not substance. It wasn't great. Fresh pasta just tasted like Alfredo. Lacked taste

Ordered from Panini Grill on Staten Island, and it was a mostly great experience! The salmon entrée was the highlight--flavorful, well-seasoned, and a generous portion that felt like a great value. It arrived fresh and perfectly cooked, which isn't always easy with delivery. The service was solid, and delivery was prompt, which I appreciated. However, the pizza was a bit too greasy for my taste, which was a bit of a letdown. It had good flavor, but the excess oil took away from the overall experience. Still, I'd absolutely order from here again, especially for the seafood and other entrées. Looking forward to trying more of their menu next time!

One of my favorite restaurants on the island. The mozzarella en carrozza never misses as an appetizer with its plum tomato sauce with capers. If we're talking entrees, the Pete's Panini is my go-to, but the Pollo Daniel is my favorite dish on the menu. It's doused in the most savory, light yet creamy, sun-dried tomato sauce with so many fresh veggies cooked to perfection. Despite going to panini grill for a cheat meal, I don't even feel too guilty after. Everything I've tried on the menu is always seasoned well, has the right acidity, and all in all hits the spot. Another plus is that they offer complimentary fresh foccaccia bread with a variety of spreads as you wait for your meal to come out. However, I've never waited too long for my meal despite how full the restaurant is on weekends. As for the ambiance, I absolutely love when the place is decorated for Christmas and Halloween. The way they decorate both for the holidays and at all times of year gives the place a unique charm. While I already enjoy casual dinners at Panini Grill as they are, this restaurant also innovates with anything from freestyle nights at the restaurant to great Tuesday deals you can take home. Definitely will be back within the next week or so...

Panini Grill never fails.... It wasn't my first time but it was my friend. This was a girly night out and once we were inside we were greeted immediately and sat down . The waitress was very attentive and very helpful to us. When served, we couldn't believe the size of our panini sandwiches.. they were tremendous and delicious. We had the other part of our panini for lunch the next day. Lol ...It was a wonderful experience eating at the Panini Grill . We both were satisfied with great food... great service and great friends... Thanks for making our girly night "SPECTACULAR

This is one of the best old school italian resturants I have been to. Service was fast. Servers and staff were very friendly. Owner Pete came over to see how everything was. Which was nice. Ordered Parm tower and staten island panni. for lunch. Great food ,reasonable prices and good service. Excellent place. Highly recomend.

The food here is to die for. The vibes are always so fun and you can tell the people who work here legitimately love what they have going on. The service is off the charts, and every panini on the menu is worth a try. The portions are big but who cares! That's more leftovers. Not to mention they have amazing dinner platters you can buy for your family every Tuesday. It's beyond me why this restaurant doesn't have a higher rating but im sure that will change because this is one of the best restaurants there are on the island without a doubt.

We ordered food for pick up, my only complaint is the long long long wait time, even though we showed up 10 mins later than the expected time, I ended up waiting for an additional 20 mins. The staff were nice. But the wait time was a bit annoying since it was a middle of a weekday and the restaurant was practically empty! But the frustration slowly went away because we really enjoyed the food. We ordered chipotle chicken panini and chicken parm with ziti. And we were soo happy with the taste of it. The chicken parm was not dry at all, good texture. Everything was flavorful. So yeah, only complaint is wait time.

I don't like Italian food but I LOVED panini grill. Make a reservation, this place is a complete zoo. They have a great menu with a lot to choose from. Some dishes are old school Italian, and others have a twist...like the Italian nachos, which are a must. Also has the fried calamari and it was fine. For my entree I got the Staten Island panini (because how can you not get a panini at a restaurant that has it in the name) and asked for it on focaccia. Excellent. It was huge. Easy to share with someone. The vibe is really fun. It's definitely a family restaurant but it's a blast. Every time one of their special dishes are ordered, the music blasts and it gets prepared table-side. Despite the chaotic environment, the service is good and you can tell the staff works hard and tries hard.

Went last night with my family to celebrate my birthday. We had reservations so we were seated immediately. Very nice menu nice drinks also. it was a Friday night and they had live music which was really a treat. Appetizers were all very good and filling. Our main courses were very good also but everyone was so stuffed. We wound up taking much of the food home. Owner treated us to a calabrese pizza which was delicious with nduja . They surprised me with a big birthday candle and a lovely dessert that had cannoli cream and whip cream was very good. And then the owner gave us each a shot of Amaro del Capo which was the perfect ending to a lovely dinner. Will definitely go back happy to support a fellow calabrese.!

Cacio e Pepe was outstanding. Cappuccino was one of the best.

Everything about this place is amazing. Service was excellent. The owner Pete came out and greeted us and gave us a pizza appetizer on the house. I highly recommend Panini Grill. Tutto Apposto

After waiting ten minutes, we found a young waitress in the back and were told to seat ourselves. When another couple arrived, she became the sole server for both tables. The service was poor throughout. She didn't offer menu suggestions, simply asking if we were ready to order. When we requested drinks, she brought the wrong items like Diet Pepsi instead of Diet Coke, and seltzer water instead of Sprite. She then disappeared for an extended period, spending most of her time at the host stand rather than checking on tables. We ate without drinks. We wanted to ask for more bread she was no where to be found. The neighboring couple had similar issues, mentioning she forgot their coffee order entirely. While we sympathized that she may have been new or inexperienced, the lack of attentiveness and basic service fundamentals made for an uncomfortable dining experience that didn't match the restaurant's reputation. The ambiance seemed very old school and family friendly. There were a ton of tables but it was also very cold like the heater at the restaurant wasn't working. The food took a long time, the food was great but honestly we didn't ask for anything big. It was just spaghetti and chicken parm.

I thought the sauce was quite nice, with a good balance of sweet to acidic. The dough was thinner than I expected, so I experienced significant flop when I pulled out a slice to eat. If you prefer your pizza to be able to hold its shape when folded, I would suggest allowing the pizza to cool down a little before eating. The MOR pie was surprisingly good-- the onions added some sweetness and crunch while the ricotta helped keep the pizza from becoming too heavy. The classic plain pie is also excellent, with a good amount of cheese and a well-baked undercarriage. Overall, an excellent pizza-- the crowds did not lie. I would love to return to try their garbage or a salute pie, along with a cup of Ralph's Italian ice from across the street (I'm told this is the elite combo). PS- Pies only, no slices. Schlepping all the way out to Staten Island for this pizza was a risk I decided to take, and it paid off. The restaurant is close by the Staten Island Railway, and inside feels like a true Italian pizzeria, but not like one you would see in Brooklyn. This one is more high quality, and it shows in their pizza. The pizza is phenomenal. Outstanding. I got two pies, one red and one white, for contrast and both are worthy of terrific merits. El Naso, the red pie, is beautiful in color and taste. The porky sausage and the hot soppresata add a nice flavor to the pie, the crispy crust, it was all lining up nicely to be a great pie. I am happy I went with my gut and got this. For my white pie suggestion, I asked my server, Leslie (more on her in a moment), what to get. She suggested El Pizzaiolo. Like the red pie, it tastes gorgeous thanks to the silky and luxurious truffle oil. The crimini mushrooms and Italian sausage accentuate it beautifully and the Parmesan reggiano cheese provides a sharp, salty note to the pie. It rounds the whole thing out nicely. Leslie is one of the reasons I enjoyed my experience. At first I thought she was just a tease with her giggly and youthful demeanor, but after talking to her I found something more deeper and meaningful. There is a depth of intelligence that she has but a naïveté that needs to be cracked before her. The fact that tips mean nothing to her speak volumes about who she is. I really wanted to give her something significant to take home with her, but fun conversation and the fact she is mentioned here will be enough for now for this attractive, lissome soul. Since both pies filled me up nicely, I had to pass on dessert. But I promised that down the line I will be back because the pizza is just so darn good. Leslie, thank you for the lovely experience and I hope someone sees my compliment and gives you a little extra in your next paycheck. You deserve it. Like this pizzeria well deserving of a five star review.
