It's usually pretty busy whenever I go. However I did have one bad experience when coming here. My friends and I stopped at another place to get drinks and then came to this store since one of our other friends really liked the smoothies here. We all entered and stood at the corner waiting for her. The worker got super upset at us and told us we weren't allowed to bring drinks here but we told them we were only waiting for our friend who was ordering a drink and we weren't planning to stay in. It was pouring outside and that worker did see one of our friends go order online. I'm assuming they expected us to stay outside in the rain when waiting for our friend. The location is big and there was plenty of room to sit so it wasn't like we were preventing people from sitting. A few minutes later, while we were still standing at the corner of the store sipping our drinks and waiting for our friend, I'm assuming the manager came out, and rudely told us that in order to eat or drink we have to show our COVID vaccine card. I thoroughly understand how important safety is for everyone and we were all fully vaccinated. But we knew they were just targeting us at this point since another group of people sat down at a table without being asked to show their card way before us. It was just too much heat between us and the workers at this point. So we decided to go out and wait for our friend. I may be wrong but I'm assuming this is an Asian owned business since majority of the people that work here are Asian since they spoke the same language as me and Nicole Li is the owner of something sweet. I've been loving this place for many years. My favorite things to order are the taro milk bubble tea and the lychee fruit bubble tea, but every flavor that I have tried here has been good. The ice cream is also delicious. I don't think I've ever had anything that I didn't like, besides the macaron cookies, those can be stale. Love coming here! I always get the same thing (Coconut milk tea with boba) since I am a creature of habit but I can't wait to try some other things on their menu that look delicious! I get it we all have bad days, but if your regulars and a mistake happens you'll be lenient with customers who share the same level of dignity and respect for you when it gets busy. The caucasian girl clerk at the time was in a bad mood, not only did not assist when my son accidentally dropped his tea when the four drinks didnt fit in the coasters (they have bags...but this time i guess not?) but was charged yet again then had to pay extra for $5 macaroons to utilize a credit card. Like the drinks that dropped because coasters dont fit the drinks is a mistake, but after constantly spending money to charge for something so petty? C'mon. Left a terrible taste in my mouth after the constant times over the years since they opened we supported this business and just because you have new hirees who we give respect and patience to (even waiting 15 minutes for delays because of mistakes) to do something so petty for $10. I have a new bubble tea hot spot! Yippy! Staten Island is limited to places that has Asian types food and drinks...I'm happy I found a place where I can enjoy desserts and bubbles!
