So happy another Kung Fu Tea spot open up since the one in Staten Island mall closed! New spot so everything is very nice and clean! Hope it stay that way. Manager/owner is friendly and helpful. Told us about the upcoming promotions. I ordered our drinks on the Kung Fu Tea app so by the time we got there, our drinks are ready for us. Stop by and support your local Forest Avenue business.

The photos look like they could be from there, but maybe way back in the most vital days of NYC Stapleton was on the map with such a trendy place. One can only hope someone has such a vision and starts something like this here! What an inspiration. Meanwhile for now this remains a mystery, perhaps an homage to a bygone era, or just a fantasy. We will never know.

Setting (5/5): the interior of this place is simple and chic with a focus on sheep. There is a good amount of seating and tables that can fit four comfortably. If you need chill study vibes, I would definitely check this place out. Drinks (5/5): I got the mocha and really enjoyed it! It had a rich, but not too sweet chocolate taste and it wasn't bitter. The little latte design on top was also a nice touch. And I think that summary of their coffee being rich and slightly sweet is reflective of their other drinks too (my friend got the Americano and agreed that it had a natural sweet taste too it). Also I will say their music choices are great and it's not too noisy here so you can have a nice chat or really dive deep into a book or email here.

I loved everything. If you have a sweet tooth like me, this place can definitely become a little dangerous, especially for the health goals. The banana foster coffee was really good, and the flavor paired surprisingly well with the dessert. I've always heard when you visit a bakery for the first time, you should start with the staples, so I went with the chocolate chip cookie. And, there were so many options that choosing just one was a challenge. That first bite did not disappoint, with melted chocolate inside, just like how I like it. You can taste the sea salt, but it's subtle and doesn't overpower the cookie at all. Such a well executed cookie, so good. The service provided was also pleasant. I'm already looking forward to trying the other flavors of cookies, as well as some of their other drinks. Parking was also pretty easy for me since it's on a corner nearby a residential area. There's also a lot behind the bakery, but there was a sign saying it's for staff, so I'm not sure if customers can park there. Definitely worth a visit!

I tried the toffee chocolate chip which was a delightful twist on the tried-and-true formula. It was definitely loaded with toffee. The cookies are pretty big and cost about $5 per cookie, so it was hard to justify trying more than 1 flavor. The taste is good, but I wish they were a little smaller/cheaper to justify the indulgence. There was also a menu board slide show where I briefly saw an image of a sundae, but it never came back around, so I didn't end up ordering it. There was a pretty extensive drink menu as well. There wasn't really a lot of seating, but they pack up well to go. I would come back to try some of the other flavors and menu options.

Because the 1st time we came back in '22, on a Sunday, the entire bar was booked for some kid's birthday party. When we walked in, people looked at us like we were clearly in the wrong place (rather than tell us, nicely, that they simply weren't open to other customers). So we came back today, on a goegeous Saturday, at about 2:00 pm. Prime time for people to head out on a walk to explore Staten Island, and to grab a refreshing beer at a local brewery. And guess what? Closed, again. For another kid's party. You know how the saying goes - screw me once, shame on you. Well, this is officially 0 for 2. The kicker is that we even called ahead multiple times to try and see if they were indeed open today; got zero answers, and their voicemail is full. I've absolutely, positively no idea why this place has tremendous reviews. They absolutely stink at handling the basics of a brewery. Not to mention, and not to throw shade at the entire neighborhood, but the adjacent plaza isn't exactly visitor-friendly. Trash everywhere basically. Do yourself a huge favor and come try the nearby Craft House. They do CRAZY stuff here, such as: a) answer phones b) serve adults on a Saturday c) have good beer and good bar apps. Never trying my luck at the joke of a "Flagship" brewery again.
