The service was odd the server seemed new and didn't speak much English and I guess my limited Spanish was really bad because she didn't seem to understand it. I wanted to get some almond milk as I'm not from here and the area is limited on vegan options. The server gave us samples of the drinks and all of them were great my kid got the strawberry banana smoothie, paid for her own and said it was heavy on the banana but good. That bananas in her smoothie were ripe and sweet. But what we sampled was very banana forward, so if bananas are not your thing this may not be the place for you. My request was where things got weird... I just wanted a cup of almond milk to take back to where we were staying for coffee there. She wanted to charge $10 for 16oz of almond milk!?! I will uber my azz to Whole Foods or spend hours hitting up the little grocers to find a $5-6 1/2 gallon of almond milk. Yes my jaw dropped she said "too much?" To stunned to speak I nodded with a slight cringe as she already had it in a cup with a sealed lid. She called the owner or manager who told her to ring it up at $2 way more reasonable. I give her a $20, she then states she has no fives as I'm staring at a five next to the ones she's counting out... um ok I'm going to say it was a communication limitation. It was awkward, I don't mind the ones but... The smoothies are banana forward the green juice we tried was a great blend! Staff interaction awkward

WARNING: anyone with food allergies stay away!!…read more If I could give this place a great big hazard sign instead of one star I would. There is an middle aged Indian woman who works here that absolutely refuses to wash out the blender pitchers using soap and water. It seems that their standard operating procedure is to only swish water in the pitcher after each use. Even after I explained my daughter's life threatening allergies to all forms of nuts (including the almond milk they routinely use), gluten, soy, and some fruits- the woman still refused to clean it with soap and water. I explained that cross contamination could and would be life threatening- but she still refused. Even the other worker was willing to wash it for us but she shooed him away. My money is green- From now on I will go somewhere where they follow proper cleaning practices.

The price was extremely high but we assumed the taste would justify it. Unfortunately, it did not. Both smoothies were a pale color (clearly loaded with milk) and tasted like absolutely nothing. Both of our smoothies had peanut butter; did not taste even a drop of it. Not to mention, there was somehow a hair underneath the ingredient sticker. Very bad experience update: my friend just called to speak with the manager, she was yelled at and told they would not put a manager on the phone. our smoothies tasted like nothing because we "didn't add anything to it" and for my smoothie they did not use almond milk as i requested but instead soy milk and added almond butter and refused to refund.

A Truly Unexpected and Wonderful Dining Experience!…read more Hello everyone! I wanted to share a wonderful dining experience I recently had at Andrew's Restaurant. At first, I thought Andrew's was mainly a vegan and gluten-free restaurant. My wife and I are non-vegetarians, while my daughter is vegan and my son prefers gluten-free food. We recently had dinner together, and honestly, we were amazed by how beautifully the restaurant catered to all of us. For appetizers and soups, my wife enjoyed the Butternut Squash Soup, I had the Shrimp Bisque, my son had a delicious seafood dish, and my daughter enjoyed a vegan chili that was absolutely indescribably delicious. For our entrées, I had the lamb chops, my wife had the salmon, my son enjoyed a shrimp pizza, and my daughter had a vegetable curry. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, beautifully prepared, and clearly made with care. We usually dine at restaurants in New York, but this experience truly impressed us. It was wonderful to sit together as a family and have everyone enjoy food that suited their individual preferences. And the desserts were fantastic as well! We enjoyed cakes and pies, and I also tried the vegetable-based ice cream gelato, which was outstanding. What I especially want to emphasize is this: Andrew's Restaurant is not only a vegan restaurant. It is a place where everyone can enjoy a great meal, including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and non-vegetarian guests. A truly satisfying experience for our entire family. Thank you to the chef and the entire team for such wonderful food and hospitality. We will definitely be returning--and consider ourselves permanent customers! Dr. DeJoya, MD

I'm limited to what I eat so I need restaurants that will accommodate my dietary needs. This place was awesome. The gentleman at the front was so sweet and welcoming. I had a lot of questions and restrictions and needed things taken out and replaced. Not once was he bothered or annoyed by my request. It's a breath of fresh air. Lots of places tend to get annoyed when you ask for things to be changed but I figured a healthy restaurant wouldn't mind. He answered all my questions and was able to substitute or removed anything I needed . I ordered a salmon fillet , brown rice and house salad. All well portioned . It was so much food I had to take some home lol the salmon was absolutely delicious. The chef knows how cook man. The food was decently priced for the food, and my drink which I was surprised they had. I ordered tumeric tea and they gave me a large order. I had to take that home too. I was too full to finish but I was happy. The place is clean, spacious and cozy for a friends dinner of by yourself . I absolutely recommend this to any health nut out there or anyone in general really. I'm only bummed about them not being on Uber Eats or any delivery service but they do deliver within Bayonne. Maybe one day that will expand . Please give them a try
