I visited the Clark location this past Friday and the atmosphere seemed unwelcoming. I normally go to Soul Bowl in Scotch Plains but didn't have enough travel time. Upon entering there was a new young lady at the register and she was completely clueless as to how to greet a walk in customer. I initiated the hi how are you and proceeded to read the menu. I wanted to walk out so bad and I wish did but I needed a treat. I went ahead, placed an order and headed out. During my wait, the store manager came out of his office with the same unwelcoming attitude. We made eye contact and no words were exchanged. Once I got to my location and opened my bag, of course my item looked nothing like the pictures posted. I had a glob of base and very little topping, I was already feeling uneasy so calling to complain just felt like a waste of energy. I'll never step foot in that establishment again. I like to spend my money with businesses that make me feel welcomed and appreciated. read more

So I finally checked this place out after working out.... Walking in... place is nice and bright and looks clean. It is also brand new - opened several months ago Unless you already know what you want - it might be a lil overwhelming to figure out what you want ... The shakes are broken down into several categories- slim, fitness , wellness and breaktime. Slim is for low calories , fitness is for higher protein , wellness has more vitamins and breaktime- I'm not sure lol . So figure out which you want to focus on and go from there. There are three sizes. The smallest is best for me personally . Girl taking my order was friendly and nice and I had no issues I got the "daily warrior " which was good. And my brother got the hulk and he liked it also I usually don't have these for a meal but I could see how some people would use it for a meal replacement. Really delicious smoothies. The best in NJ! They have so many options and the flavors are so fresh. I got one that was mango. They fill up the cup all the way and had my order ready when promised. I've tried some other smoothie places in the area but this place is the best. New business as well, good vibes. Would highly recommend this smoothie king location. read more

I come here semi frequently after the gym for the strawberry gladiator. I put double peanut butter in it and it becomes the best protein shake i can think of with that little carbs. It is a tad pricy but the smoothie sizes are enormous. A meal substitute for sure. The workers there are all really nice. Ive never caught attitude at all even with making modifications which i sometimes do. Its a rough drive thru, but going inside is no issue as you get your smoothie very quickly either way. read more

Update: I decided to give it a try again and I actually been there a few times, things have improved tremendously people are super helpful and very polite I suggest to have the gladiator with peanut butter and chocolate protein the best drink ever if you are in a low-carb diet. Ok so I came to this place to try their keto smoothies I ordered 1 large Keto Coffee Champ and 1 large Keto Berry Champ, it all came to $20 pricey... I personally liked the berry flavor the coffee one not so much. Now we are gonna talk about the baristas maybe it was too early ? I arrived around 8:40 am or so I mean I was super excited to try some keto stuff and when I walked in those 2 looked miserable not even a smile or a nice greet or a your welcome after I said thank you. This place just opened around my town they need to cheer up a bit don't wanna see no butt faces when you walk in a new place get it together ! Good smoothies! I have been to a smoothie king at a different location and this was a similar experience. I got a medium strawberry, pineapple, banana smoothie with almond milk. It was delicious. It was a little pricy, but most smoothie places are on the expensive side. I really enjoyed how they have a drive through so i didn't even need to get out of my car. Smoothie came out very fast. If your craving a nice smoothie I 100% recommended smoothie king. It's the perfect place to get a nice drink on a hot day. There menu is good if your trying to watch your diet or just craving something sweet. They only thing that i think is not to great about this place is that some of there drinks are a little too sweet but I'm pretty sure if you ask you can get a little bit less sugar. Spreading the love to the Smoothie King of Clark staff after stopping by last Sunday evening and being so impressed by the work ethic of the employees! There were only three girls working there and the phone was ringing nonstop and they clearly had a ton of orders to fulfill but they were moving so fast and crushing it! I honestly really was impressed by this place when I went for my first time yesterday. The staff was friendly, line moved quickly, and the "Immune Booster" drink I ordered was delicious. The downside was only a couple hours after I drank the smoothie I became extremely nauseous and spent the rest of the day (and into the early morning) vomiting. I'm not allergic to anything in the drink and don't have a weak stomach so it made me question how fresh the fruit used in my smoothie was. Unsure if I'd be returning here although I've heard only great things from a lot of people, hopefully this was just a fluke. read more
