I'm so glad there's finally a boba spot in Staten Island Mall! And better yet, it's Gong Cha! I love that they have a variety of teas. My favorite are the dirty brown sugar milk tea and little star passionfruit green tea. The location is conveniently in the center court of the mall on the lower level right across Zara. The service is fast and on point. Highly recommend!

4/7/22 First time visiting this Gong Cha at the Staten Island Mall, and yeah not good at all. I've been to so many branches in NYC and they are a lot better, trust me. I ordered a medium Earl Grey milk tea with bubbles and pudding. I don't know why the two workers added extra bubbles to my drink. I clearly watched them make it carefully because I have previous experience as a manager at another Gong Cha. The worker, Rommel and another worker that wasn't wearing a name tag, added the extra bubbles, which I did not requested, and added ice all the way to the top of the cup. I worked at a Gong Cha in Chinatown Manhattan a few years ago during my college days, and yet that's not how they're suppose to make drinks here at this location. The bubbles were not chew as you can see they were sticking as a BIG clump. Why would anyone serve bubbles like this to anyone? Tapioca bubbles only have a lifespan of 3-4 hours. If anyone is reading this, just do yourself a favor and stay away from here. There's better boba shops in Brooklyn, just pay the toll!

Bad boba. I decided to try this boba and it's not good. The tea itself is fine, the boba was undercooked and had no flavor. Usually when boba is in this brown sugar flavor or brown sugar based drinks it tastes a bit sweet and it's a nice texture. I don't recommend this boba at all, do yourself a favor and go to Vivi's or Kung Fu tea instead. HUGE let down.

I love their fruit tea, and their bubble tea is great too! Their service is also great. I got my bubble tea orders very quickly. They are super efficient and friendly.

Really good boba! The staff is nice and friendly as well. Happy to see Staten Island finally has a Gong Cha of it's own.

Fast and friendly service with the solid bubble tea you'd expect from Gong Cha. Definitely recommend the wintermelon

I told him I love Jasmine Peach tea with lychee boba not too sweet, less ice. I just wanted a medium size. He calls me to say they do not have Jasmine just regular peach tea and no lychee boba but Kanton jelly. I was game and agreed sight unseen and no menu in front of me. He came back and I first inspected the packaging of cup, quite nice. The packaged straw looked very thin to capture boba. I took the plastic cover off and opened seal and it looked like peach oolong tea. I took one sip and boy you could tell the look of DISAPPOINTMENT on my face.. just sorry to say, awful. The straw was paper thin and I could not capture the jelly, I took a fork to the bottom of my cup and saw " worm like jelly". How a paper thin straw could capture long pieces of jelly is beyond me. The plastic dome, once I took off, couldn't be put back properly. I could not believe that this "large " drink cost $10. A complete and utter rip off. Sorry to say, I will not be a future patron. There are so many fantastic bubble tea with less fancy packaging.

(I say hot because I burnt my mouth taking my first bite haha...) I ordered the Beef Lo Mein, which was good but different from other lo meins I usually order because it had a more soupy sauce! I also got their iced Lychee Green Tea with Regular sugar, which I loved. Service was very fast and the inside of the place was nice and clean! 10/10 Would come back!

That's when we found Lion Dance in Staten Island. Honestly, I didn't expect much because this place is on Staten Island. I've lived here my whole life, and to be real, not a lot of food spots here are that good. I usually go to other parts of NYC to eat. But BOY, WAS I WRONG. I got the pork soup dumplings, lotus leaf steamed rice with beef and broccoli, shrimp siu mai, and a mango green tea with medium sugar and mango jelly. Everything was so good! The biggest surprise was the lotus leaf steamed rice, it had so much flavor and went perfectly with the beef. The portion was big too. The soup dumplings were juicy, the siu mai were fresh, and the mango green tea was super refreshing. Service was quick, the staff was friendly, and the place was clean and nicely decorated. Overall, I loved the food, the vibe, and the service. Definitely coming back and if you're from Staten Island, trust me, this spot is worth checking out!
