    Flat White with oat milk
    Roxanne O.

Super friendly service and they seem to have a lot of regulars. I ordered a flat white with oat milk to stay. It took quite a while to get my order, as there was only one person working. The flat white was much too large and had too much foam. It tasted okay, but more akin to a latte.

The seasonal syrup is lemon something, and let me tell you - it's PHENOMENAL! This is the best iced latte I've had in a while, so kudos to the very kind barista who encouraged me to try it. I will be back for it again and to take advantage of their adorable patio!

This place is super cute and comfortable. The latte was amazing and the blueberry scone was delicious. Served nice and warm straight to the table. It's a nice place to have coffee with friends or just sit and enjoy your good book.

You might see ppl working on their laptops, couples on a date, ppl stopping in before/after a shift, teachers, artists, realtors, retired folks, parents with their infants, etc. They have a fridge stocked with additional beverages including wellness shooters like ginger shots. They also sometimes have sangria and daily specials available. In the back they have created an awesome seating area with tables, chairs, umbrella's and a mini bar. I'm not sure what they serve out of the mini bar or when but I think they do private events sometimes. Don't sleep on this spot! Northside is a keeper!

The morning of our event there was snow on the ground, and Danielle, one of the owners, personally called early to confirm everything was still on. She shoveled herself out and drove in from New Jersey to make sure the coffee bar was set up and ready. That level of dedication and professionalism truly stood out. The coffee bar itself was a huge hit. They offered espresso drinks, cappuccinos, flavored lattes, oat milk options, and iced selections -- all made fresh to order. The quality was excellent and truly café-level, not just standard event coffee. The iced lattes were especially popular with our guests. The setup was polished and professional, the baristas were friendly and efficient, and it added such a fun, elevated touch to the brunch. If you're planning a wedding event, shower, or special celebration, I highly recommend Beans & Leaves. Exceptional service, delicious coffee, and a team that genuinely cares about your event.

Setting (5/5): the interior of this place is simple and chic with a focus on sheep. There is a good amount of seating and tables that can fit four comfortably. If you need chill study vibes, I would definitely check this place out. Drinks (5/5): I got the mocha and really enjoyed it! It had a rich, but not too sweet chocolate taste and it wasn't bitter. The little latte design on top was also a nice touch. And I think that summary of their coffee being rich and slightly sweet is reflective of their other drinks too (my friend got the Americano and agreed that it had a natural sweet taste too it). Also I will say their music choices are great and it's not too noisy here so you can have a nice chat or really dive deep into a book or email here.

I tried the toffee chocolate chip which was a delightful twist on the tried-and-true formula. It was definitely loaded with toffee. The cookies are pretty big and cost about $5 per cookie, so it was hard to justify trying more than 1 flavor. The taste is good, but I wish they were a little smaller/cheaper to justify the indulgence. There was also a menu board slide show where I briefly saw an image of a sundae, but it never came back around, so I didn't end up ordering it. There was a pretty extensive drink menu as well. Because the 1st time we came back in '22, on a Sunday, the entire bar was booked for some kid's birthday party. When we walked in, people looked at us like we were clearly in the wrong place (rather than tell us, nicely, that they simply weren't open to other customers). So we came back today, on a goegeous Saturday, at about 2:00 pm. Prime time for people to head out on a walk to explore Staten Island, and to grab a refreshing beer at a local brewery. And guess what? Closed, again. For another kid's party. You know how the saying goes - screw me once, shame on you. Well, this is officially 0 for 2. The kicker is that we even called ahead multiple times to try and see if they were indeed open today; got zero answers, and their voicemail is full. I've absolutely, positively no idea why this place has tremendous reviews. They absolutely stink at handling the basics of a brewery. Not to mention, and not to throw shade at the entire neighborhood, but the adjacent plaza isn't exactly visitor-friendly. Trash everywhere basically. Do yourself a huge favor and come try the nearby Craft House. They do CRAZY stuff here, such as: a) answer phones b) serve adults on a Saturday c) have good beer and good bar apps. Never trying my luck at the joke of a "Flagship" brewery again.

I can't remember exactly what I got, but I'm pretty sure I had a very delicious coffee stout as well as another sour which I liked. The people behind the bar were super kind as well. Pro tip - they allow you to bring in food from the outside. Last time I was there we ordered pizza from Pier 76. What's better than drinking beer and eating pizza with friends on a summer day? If you're spending time in Staten Island, Flagship is definitely deserving a spot on your itinerary!
