Our friends have been telling us for a while how good the pizza is at Kinsmen, so we all met up there for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. It was my first time going and I enjoyed the laid back vibe. My husband and I were impressed at the pizza quality, especially how good the crust was. They only have 12 inch pies, so they were going down easy! The classic cheese and mashed potato ones we tried were very good. We appreciated that they had different games around to bring to your table. We would definitely come back, and it's a good place to keep in mind for private events or low key gatherings! read more

All their pizzas are good. I'm serious. Toppings are delicious, and the varieties are awesome. My fave pies: - Mother Clucker - OGB - Farmer's - Mad Lips - Hot Lips - Margherita - Cheese (duh) Ones I wanna try: - McGinty - Wakey- Wakey I also recently tried their caprese sandwich with prosciutto and it was damn delicious. Thinly sliced tomatoes, balls of mozzarella, tasty prosciutto and basil on a beautiful roll. read more

Sauced - Mother Clucker. Bbq base, chicken, bacon, cheddar with a ranch drizzle. Yummm!!! - Pizza Near Me - Milldale, Connecticut

5 star pizza 3 star pretzel = 4 star rating ...we tried the mashed potato which was Deeeeelicious, and the make your own with mushroom also solid. The pretzel came out at the same time as the pies and while the presentation on the hook was cool the extra money for gelatinous cheese sauce was a nah prob never order again. They leave boxes on the bar so you can wrap your leftovers and there is a self serve water dispenser w cups next to the pizza area. read more

Been here many times and the pizza and other food is always delicious. Being located at Kinsman is a bonus for both businesses! This time we took out, ordering online. We had a Margherita and a make your own with mashed potatoes, candied jalapeños and honey. The online system didn't allow for adding certain items including the jalapeños and honey, however, they do have a special order notes section per product ordered and they got it just right! read more

I had the prosciutto hot honey pizza.... Soo good! I had it delivered so I can't review beyond that but the pie was delicious read more

We love the fact that Sauced is tucked inside the Kinsmen brewery. Beer and pizza go hand in hand. We ordered a specialty pizza with mashed potatoes, onions and candied jalapeños. It was so good! The crust was thin but not flimsy. The sauce was sweet and fresh. I had never had candied jalapeños before, but will def do that again! Spicy but not unmanageable. Looking forward to trying another pie soon! read more

I'm not sure why Sauced is a separate listing here on Yelp, but either way, this pizza is fan-friggin-tastic and worthy of 5 stars. The staff at The Kinsmen are amazing and this delicious pie was ordered and in front of us in less than 10 minutes. Beautiful mix of flavors on this creative pie and it was devoured in no time with room for another if I am being honest. Thin, crisp, sturdy slices. Mad Lips (mozzarella, house-made candied jalapenos, hot soppressata and honey) is a masterpiece and my mouth is watering just thinking about it again. Fantastic space too. Go there now. read more

This use to be a good place but they have gone way downhill. Last two times I was there the apps came out with the food, and the nachos were cold and cheese was hard. Ordered a pretzel and it came raw and doughy. And they were not busy at all. I won't be back. read more

Stopped here for a late lunch while riding on the Farmington Canal trail - it's very convenient to the trail (it wasn't very busy so I was able to bring my bike up to my table on the deck; but I would not have been concerned leaving my bike against the chain link fence either). My pizza was great. It wasn't on the paper menu, but I had seen it on the online menu. My server knew what I wanted and it tasted great! read more

I have been tasting the tasty brews at Kinsmen Brewing Company since their doors first opened. I'm an avid cyclist and cycle on the Farmington Canal Trail often. Kinsmen is right along the trail, so I'll often stop in for a refreshing brew after a long ride. I was excited when I heard that they were adding on a pizzeria called "Sauced at Kinsmen". I tried some of their pizza at a fundraising event and it was very good. Recently, I saw them advertise a special "Vodka Sauced" pizza for the month of May 2021. My wife, son and I all love Penne alla Vodka, so we were intrigued by the new pie. The three of us decided to go for pizza on a Friday evening. We were able to get a table right along the canal side of the building. My son loved watching all of the cyclists riding by. We ordered the "Vodka Sauced" pie and thought we would even things out by also ordering a white pie; we went with the "Pork-U-Pine" Pie. Both of the pies were excellent. We didn't realize that the Vodka Sauced pizza was also going to have penne pasta on it, but we were pleasantly surprised. The "Pork-U-Pine" was topped with Mozzarella, Prosciutto, Shaved Parmigiano, Arugula, and Balsamic Glaze. We were very happy with our choices. Our son is only 15-months-old, but he loved the gourmet toppings. The beers were pretty good too. I had a few half pours of beers that I never had before, and my wife had a glass of Riesling wine. Great weather for outdoor dining! read more

We really enjoy going to grab pizza here! The toppings are great and the pizza isn't messy with them on it. Everything stays together! The dough on the pizza has a nice crispiness on the bottom but a nice chewiness too! We got the mad lips and my husband loves the candied jalapeños on there! It's a nice sweet heat! I got the max attack which had pulled pork, bacon, and macaroni and cheese and chipotle ranch drizzled which was delicious!! We also got the pepperoni and half cheese for the kids. The pepperoni was delicious but more on the spicy side. Our friends got the mother clucker and OGB which they enjoyed! We also got the large pretzel with the cheese sauce which was delicious! We got the chips and salsa too which was good! It would be nice to also offer the cheese sauce with that too! We also failed to look at the specials board so if you are visiting check that part out (upon entering) otherwise the staff should mention the specials to you. They don't have a high chair here if you're bringing little kids. Definitely enjoy coming here for pizza and getting some good beer too! read more

We visited Kinsmen Brewing on a recent Saturday evening in order to enjoy a few craft brews and the pizza from Sauced. Orders are taken at the bar for both the brews and pizza with the latter delivered to the table. After reading the online menu, I had my heart set on the Pork-U-Pine (prosciutto, shaved Parmesan and fresh arugula). The crust of the 12-inch pie was very good though the toppings proved to be a disappointment in the flavor department. In hindsight, I suspect we may have been fared better with one of the tomato sauced pies. read more

It was an unseasonably warm weekend in November, so we decided to give this outdoor dining spot a try. So glad we did. We sat on the patio and listened to live music. Singer was so good. Food was even better. Only one waitress handling our entire area. So that could have been better, but with COVID, totally understand. Regardless, a definite worth try here. read more

This was the worst experience ever. I called and no answer as of the place shut down. Both numbers on google and Yelp didn't work and one had a voicemail telling me to call another number. Called tue number as requested and no answer. Drove there since google and Yelp said it is open Drove by and it looked like an abandoned building that was empty inside so pulled over and saw lots of car on a dark parking lot so had no idea if it was safe to leave my car and belongings alone since I am on a road trip As I walked in I saw their sign lit up and walked in to my surprise the place was filled with lots of happy people and ordered a marinara pizza When finally came up it was cold, tasteless, and no cheese but a dough with white canned sauce and lots of bottled chopped garlic Honestly the worst I had ever had and took it to my car to eat it there and forced myself to eat it since didn't feel like going back in and return it but it was tasteless and sad Never again read more

Every single time (seriously) I try to order pizza to go, no one answers the phone. It's happened to me on 3 separate occasions and I typically will suffer through this major inconvenience simply because their pizza is crazy delicious. But this time I didn't even get the pizza I ordered! I paid for the higher priced "Mad lips" and got "Hot lips". It's only $1, but not only is it an inconvenience to have to go inside, order the food, sit and wait, and sometimes order a beer that I didn't even want while I stand there waiting (maybe that's their plot all along?!), but now they charge you incorrectly and don't give you what you ordered!! I wish their pizza and beer were only mediocre because then I wouldn't hate having to protest going there, but it's gotten to me this time. The person that took my order today was very nice, but the other 2 times they were not, so..... 3 strikes!!! I'm so sad read more

This spot is a fun place to stop by at after a nice bike ride. Food is mediocre. The $5 "Bowl of chips" is just a big bowl of lays chips, but the pizza is great. The Mad Lips was not spicy, more just honey than anything. Though, I would recommend the margarita pizza. It was fresh and tasty. Overall, it was a good restaurant, not more than that. read more

"Domenic & Vinnie's on Steroids" Domenic & Vinnie's has always been my favorite pizza outside of New Haven. Modern Pizza is my favorite in New Haven. The guys at Domenic & Vinnie's have taken their pizza to a whole new level with the new location called "Sauced". Sauced exclusively serves the customers at Kinsmen Brewery on Canal Street in Milldale, CT. In the old Clark Bros Bolt Company building. It's like their pizzas are Sauced up on Steroids to make them bolder and even more flavorful. We tasted three of them on our first visit to Sauced at Kinsmen and they were amazing. My wife had the Wedge-O-Veg. Roasted red peppers, kalamata olives and garlic. Funny how a couple ingredients can taste so good. My friend had the Pork-U-Pine. Prosciutto, shaved parmigiano, and fresh arugula. Classic Italian flavors making this a very delicious pizza. I kept seeing a pizza on their facebook page called the "Hot Lips". It sounded so unusual that I couldn't wait to try it. Hot soppressata and honey. Honey drizzled on a pizza? Sounds weird, but I was intrigued. WOW...what a great pizza !!! My wife really loved the Hot Lips. She even stole my last slice that I was looking forward to after having a slice of her veggie. She said it tasted like a spicy dessert. Next time I'm going to ask if they can add hot cherry peppers to it because I like everything extra hot. The Domenic & Vinnie's legacy will live on for many years to come with the addition of Sauced. Kinsmen is also brewing up some great beers to go with Sauced incredible pizzas. Saturday night I had the "Mistakes are Made" toasted marshmellow scotch ale. It has big bold flavor like a stout or porter, but has a mellow finish. I'd say, one of the best beers I've ever tasted. Check out Sauced at Kinsmen. read more

Cool place. Very clean. Pizza and grinders were awesome! Service was good too! Looking forward to going back.

If you call sauced you get an answering machine if you call kinsman you get owners voicemail? Is this a "pretend" restaurant?

The pizza is bomb. We ordered Hot Lips, which is a spicy sopprosetto red pie with a drizzle of honey. Ah Maze Ing. We also got the Pizza Dat, a white pie with ricotta, sausage, and red onion. My guy really enjoyed it. The dessert pizza we had was a cheddar, fig jam, and apple pie. Like a cheese plate in pizza form. Really tasty, and I would recommend it as a starter as well. One pizza is enough for two people, our three of you are light eaters. I highly recommend. read more
