The edamame was very hot and salty

Cool place in North Market. The ramen was perfect on a cold day. I really enjoyed the Gyoza ( pot stickers) and of course we added an order of the edamame. The staff was very efficient and friendly

I've been here a few times and sadly I don't think this place is for me, the service is excellent! The staff is amazing! However the few times I've been here the food has made me ill. :( My go to is the tonkatsu ramen, when I had it last the meat had an odd floral/ fruity flavor that seeped into the rest of the food. The broth was savory and delicious until the meat flavor got into it. I was only able to eat about a third of it before I started feeling bad. Maybe I've just come in bad days. It's a lovely spot though, don't take my word for it, it might be your next favorite spot.

The staff is really friendly! As soon as we walked into the market they greeted us immediately! The menu had a lot of great options from spicy options to more savory and traditional choices. It was really hard to choose, but we ended up settling with a Kara Kapow and had to try the Abura Soba, which was a broth-less choice. I've never had a broth-less ramen dish before but absolutely think the Abura Soba is a MUST try. The flavors married each other perfectly, the garlic soy sauce and the hint of chili oil was one of the best flavor combination I've ever had. I made my boyfriend swap dishes with me because I ended up loving this more than mine, and my Kara Kapow was wicked good! I ordered the Kara Kapow with an extra soy egg and at a medium heat level. It was really really good, if you like spicy ramen I would definitely go with this dish! We loved the wrap around bar at this place, it was really nice to be able to walk right up, place your order and have a seat and also be able to watch them make your food and see what other people are ordering.

For a quick bite this food hall had decent ramen. The line wasn't long at all the service was efficient. There is seating in the food hall but I was able to grab a spot right at the restaurant! It is loud in the space a lot of hustle and bustle.

So this place is in the North Market in Columbus Ohio, this Market is pretty cool and is full of food vendors of all different ethnicities. It was about 40 degrees outside so when I came across this ramen place it sounded good. This place reminded me of a place in Japan, it is an open concept with a bar seating around said open kitchen. In the back they have pots of broth bubbling away and it all looked very good. The place was super clean and the staff was very friendly. I went for my favorite and tried and true Tonkatsu. This version of Ramen has the normal favorites on it such as green onion, earwood mushrooms, charred Chasu, marinated soft boiled egg and the twist....pickled ginger. Oh yea and noodles The broth was pretty good, it was porky, fatty and hot. It had good deep flavor. The egg was good. Most times places over cook these eggs but not this place, it was well cooked and it was jammy and had great flavor with the soy marinade. The Chasu had great flavor, maybe just a little tough with the chew but the broth made it a little less Tough. The noodles were great as well. They were chewy, had a good bite, not over cooked and held the broth well. I couldn't be happier with them. So if everything was good why the low rating? Unfortunately it was the pickled ginger. This ingredient ruined the whole bowl. It was julienned cut and put as a topping and I like ginger but it's a strong ingredient and a little goes a long ways and when you mixed it all in all you tasted was ginger. It's amazing how one little thing can ruin a whole dish. Would I go back? YES! I would but I would order it without the ginger on it. Maybe next Time I come through Columbus go back and redo the review on an update without the ginger being in the bowl. Go eat some ramen y'all!

    Not paitian chicken broth :(
    Monica C.

Ordered the Paitian chicken ramen on DoorDash while I was at work. They gave me the Kara kapow broth instead of the paitian chicken broth, which is spicy. It's not supposed to be spicy, I can't handle spicy food very well. I'm at work and had nothing else to eat so I had to attempt to eat it while sweating my face off and just overall not enjoying my food. They even wrote paitian on the broth Tupperware but it was not the right broth. Disappointed and will not be ordering from here again. From, sad, heated, and sweaty girl who dislikes spicy. :(

So many options to choose from here but this caught our eye. You can customize your Ramen to fit your taste. We ordered lighter on the heat scale. It had great flavor but you could also still taste the heat. Nice option if youre looking for some delicious Ramen.

Let me start with saying the food here is great, everyone I know who has eaten here loves it. It is my daughter's favorite place to go while we are in Columbus for Origins. However. I was unfortunately very disappointed with the service, and what seemed like a lack of caring about our issue. We placed our order (3 of us). My daughter was already seated at the bar. My son sat down while I paid, and I sat down after. We waited for 20 minutes and started wondering where our food was when things started clearing out. So we asked. Turns out they had put it on the "To go" counter. Ok, not ideal since we wanted it dine in, not in the to go containers, and we also didn't want to wait 20 minutes for it, but whatever. When we got the food out, is when we discovered that the "solids" part of my daughter's order was missing. At this point I was pretty unhappy so I went up to the counter. I told them we had been waiting for 20 minutes to eat, only to find out it had been sitting on the to go, and that it was a good thing it wasn't because one of our items was missing. His response was that they could refund me. I of course said why would I want you to refund me? He asked "What do you want me to do?", to which I of course responded that I want them to make the food so we can eat. He said they could do that, and then made some comment about how they had called out our number many times. At this point I was pretty angry, and just didn't enjoy lunch with my kids. None of the 3 of us heard them call it out, because why would they call out a to go number for our dine in order. All it would have taken was a sincere apology, which I didn't get. Instead I felt like I was treated as if we had ordered to go, and failed to pick it up, making it our fault. For reference, I have included pictures of my receipt and the order ticket from my food. And yes, of course they both say "Dine In". Sad to have such a poor experience at a place we all enjoy.

Great food, fast service, and in a great open market with many other things to see. What wasn't there to love? Bowl is half eaten :)

$14, and it's so bad, I could only eat not even 1/2 of it. Noodle was undercooked, greasy and no flavor. I pulled a strand of noodle, and it's just "break" with zero elasticity. Staff couldn't care less, just the common "Sorry for that!". I'm familiar with your food, but it's getting worst now. I don't think the owner gives a darn about this place anymore. It's so good when it first opened. Now, it's not even meh....simply bad.

I went on Tuesday evening (around 5:30). Parking was super hard that time (lots of meter street parking but hard to find a spot). I ordered 3 ramens online and they were ready within 10 minutes. The person who put my food together was super nice but other staff didn't even say hello when I stood by the register to pick up my food. I felt uncomfortable waiting for my food I felt they were giving me dirty looks. Here is my review the noodles used were all the same-had a nice bite. I tried the food upstairs of the building (North Market) but the noodles were already getting clumpy so I recommend eating there and not take it home. Paitan: fried chicken was ok and the broth didn't have much flavor. Miso: a bit oily but the broth was flavorful and fishy (in a good way-smelled and tasted a nice aroma of fish). Pork was good, too, I wish it was a bit thicker. Aburasoba: this was my least favorite. This is brothless ramen but there is some sauce on the bottom. The sauce was so vinegary, salty and almost bitter. I hate leaving food over but had to. Couldn't finish it. So with the parking situation, not friendly staff and mediocre ramen, I give this place 3 stars.

Stopped by North market and decided to try Satori Ramen. It was rainy outside and ramen just sounded so great. We were very pleased with the ramen and how flavorful it was! The staff was very friendly and it was neat getting to see then make the ramen infront of you. I would definitely come back again!

We spent $230 (w/ tip) and it was worth every penny. Probably the best Japanese restaurant in the city. We passed by this place multiple times on our way elsewhere. We're Mario fans, so the name Yoshi caught our eye, but the cramped strip mall exterior doesn't exactly scream culinary dream. We decided to take a chance, and let me just say--wow. It's an intimate space with just a few tables and an 8-10 seat sushi bar. We didn't have reservations (make one, they fill up fast) but managed to snag seats at the bar. The service immediately stood out. We had better attention here than at some upscale steakhouses--glasses never went empty, and their menu suggestions were spot on. One minor heads-up: at the sushi bar, staff sometimes walk behind you to talk to the chefs, which can be a bit distracting. For starters, we grabbed the gyoza and asked for a standout small plate. They pointed us to the beef tongue. It arrived hot with shredded onions and spicy mustard, delivering a buttery, melt-in-your-mouth tenderness with a deep, beefy richness. The gyoza was equally flawless. Instead of the overly chewy or burnt wrappers you find at most spots, these had a delicate, golden-brown sear with an intensely savory, garlicky umami filling. We paired this with Sayuri sake, a creamy, unfiltered pour that perfectly balanced sweetness with a dry, clean finish. Since we love nigiri, we ordered a spread: tuna, salmon, smoked salmon, sweet shrimp, and Japanese scallop, plus a salmon/avocado roll. The cuts were impeccably sourced and practically dissolved on the tongue. You rarely find this level of consistency. Just a heads up--they prepare it the traditional way, meaning there is a dab of wasabi tucked directly under the fish. We also tried the Wagyu A-5 roll. It's about as "meat and potatoes" as a roll can get: steak, carrots, asparagus, and rice. The seared Wagyu fat melted instantly, creating a decadent, buttery glaze over the crisp vegetables. It's one of those rare foods that genuinely forces you to pause after each bite. At $40, it was 100% worth it. I can't say enough about this experience. Next time, we're leveling up to the fatty tuna and Wagyu experience on their special menu. That's the exact culinary peak we've been looking for, and incredibly, it's tucked inside a suburban strip mall. Absolutely brilliant.

I was in the neighborhood today and decided to pick one up for late lunch/early dinner. Overall, it was okay. Expensive for the relatively small amount of food in my opinion, especially the beef rendang, but I realize beef is costly for restaurants lately. The rendang was tender, but not as flavorful as I was expecting (more salt might have helped). The coconut kale was a bit strange - I'm going to say that's mostly because I'm not a fan of kale, period. The vermicelli side was a nice addition, and the rice was great. I liked the mustofa potatoes, although they weren't "crispy" as described. The reheating instructions said to take out the little cup of potatoes first, but when cold they would have come out in a single clump, so I popped them in the microwave by themselves afterward for 15 seconds and that did the trick. Other issues: "consume by" date was yesterday. I don't worry too much about that kind of thing, but if you do, you might want to check your order before you leave the premises. Also, the container was too big to rotate in my small microwave. It worked out okay anyway. I tasted the sambal I got - nice heat, but again, not as much flavor as I was looking for. I'm sure I'll use it up elsewhere. Got a couple other things for lunch tomorrow, I'll update after I've tried them (pork bun, and cucumber salad). Bottom line: probably not your best choice for Indonesian food, if you're already familiar with it. Fortunately there's a place that's supposed to be opening later this year in Clintonville. Update: bumped up my rating based on the strength of the pork bun and cucumber salad. The bun: tender and fluffy like it was supposed to be. The filling - pork belly falling apart, perfect, cucumber on top, and a few shreds of pickled veg that I would have been happy to get a bit more of. Don't know what the condiment on the bun was, but all in all it was a very nice package for my lunch. The cucumber salad was delicious. Chili crisp made in house over chopped cucumber - lovely contrast. The chili crisp provides a nice little bite, not "hot" (YMMV, I like hot foods) but really tasty.

I ordered a crispy cucumber salad and not only was the cucumber not crispy, there was hardly anything in the container. The same was true of the ramen dish. For the money, this isn't a value.
