So upon arriving in town from a week long cruise where food was plentiful of many different verities which really didn't miss a beat. We found ourself mighty hungry after traveling all day. After missing one of our favorite places to eat due to closing, my partner and I ended up feeling the need to feed our ramen addiction, and stumbled across what we later would find out to be a rare gem! Xazy and Blaine are such kind people and let us know that they had run out of a handful of items on their menu (which is not a bad thing!) and let us know what they did have - We quickly settled on the Tan Tan Ramen and red bean taiyaki and took our seats inside the echo. They brought our food in with everything we needed to enjoy our food and the staff at the echo were great. It's so hard to find GREAT vegan ramen and a variety at that, we woke up the next day craving another bowl! Red Rabbit Ramen is THE best ramen in Columbus. Xavy and Blaine are beyond amazing and it's always great to see them at the cart. Even in the freezing cold, they're slinging noodles and vibes! There are always seats available outside and inside at Echo Spirits, and they bring your bowl to you regardless of seating choice. My go-to is always the Miso ramen with pork belly. I've yet to find a richer broth and better pork belly in the city. My only critique is they aren't open enough, but they both work other jobs beyond the cart. We're only nearby during the week when we're in the office, but we make special trips to Grandview to enjoy our favorite ramen. It's been five years since my first bowl of their ramen, and it never gets old. Everything is made with love and care, and you should definitely add them to your list. The descriptions of this place are deliberately misleading. It is a tiny cart behind a bar. The menu is small and they did not have any food that could be prepped within a half hour. Bowls are cheap paper. No drinks were offered (they expect you to pay money at the bar. Cost was wildly overpriced for a ramen with extra noodle. Chashu pieces cost extra and were tiny Service was inattentive and disinterested (talked with the cooks the whole time Noodles were cheap (from a brand you could get in packs of 20 at the local Asian market) and overcooked, turning the ramen into a sludge. Flavor wise? It was over spiced, far too much cheap chili oil. Bamboo shoot was over marinated Egg was fine, pork tasted ok and was tender (what little I got for an extra charge) Avoid this place if you value your love of ramen. read more

This is the best ramen in Columbus, hands down! I went two days in a row the first time I had it because it was just so delicious. The spicy miso ramen (it's pretty spicy, so ask for less spice if you're not too into spice) is amazing and the broth is creamy and rich. This ramen has so much flavor! The guy who runs the Ramen cart is super friendly and helpful. He helped me pick out what he thought I'd like and of course I loved it. You can grab a drink and eat your ramen inside the distillery, which is awesome. There's also outdoor seating for warmer months. 10/10 recommend this place over every other ramen place I've been in Columbus, and I've been to many of them. This is really good ramen. Like - you won't go wrong ordering from here, especially if you're next to Echo Spirits. I don't know better ramen in the general area. Red Rabbit is solid. It's damn tasty, with amazing broth (I did Tan Tan and a Chashu bun - still tasty. And they rotate specials - so yeah, it is WORTH CHECKING OUT. It's worth getting, it's worth checking their changing specials, it's all-in-all a win for great ramen (and probably the best ramen in Grandview!). Caveats: - I tried to order using the QRCode in Echo. It didn't work. So I just went outside. No biggie. - dude was super nice, pointed out the specials, I almost was sold - but I was trying to "try them for the first time" with a strict standard menu offering. - they have a nice outdoor area - the blur between Red Rabbit and Echo, I don't know how it works out. But I could see myself loving a chilly evening over ramen and a drink on that little patio. Just sounds magical. "But if it's so good, why is it not five stars?" Looking for some unique experience for your ramen. Make sure to check out Red Rabbit Ramen. They serve their ramen from a Yatai cart [a small mobile cart stand]. This is one of the typical food scene that you can see around in Japan. A little fun fact: The owner built up the Yatai cart from scratch. I went to the Community Day at the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens a couples week back. It also partnered with JASCO hosted Spring Festival. There are different activity booth and performance around Japanese culture. They are the only hot food vendor for the day, so the wait is fairly long. While you wait for your ramen, you can see the entire process from cooking to assemble. Love it! I got the Tan Tan Man and I do like it. The broth itself is rich along with a hint of nuttiness from the tahini. I would definitely need to head back to their regular spot to try their small bites option and other ramen. read more

Columbus has a ton of good ramen places, and when I saw this one I wanted to try it. They have an interesting menu, and they work out of the ghost kitchen on Essex so they're kind of handy on my way to work. I wanted to try the ramen, but I figured I would be eating a little in my car and then putting it in my lunchbox to take to work; ramen just did not seem a good idea for any of that. Plus it would be old by the time I got to eat it. So, I'll have to try that some other time, maybe when they have a brick and mortar. For now, I got two orders of lumpia- because my buddy at work likes it and I know I like it. Gochujang wings next, because I like wings and gochujang. And one of the rice bowls, loco moco, because it figured it would hold up better. The chicken was big meaty chunks, super crispy when I first got them, covered in sauce; they were little softer later. Lots and lots of chicken. Very good, moderately spicy, plenty of flavor, and sprinkled with sesame seeds. The lumpia were excellent: skinny little spring rolls with pork inside, and a sweet-and-sour dipping sauce that I believe was that pretty common Thai one I can never remember the name of. The loco moco looks and smells perfect. it's basically rice and katsu with gravy and an egg. But man, the blend of flavors and textures is superb. Kind of expensive, but great quality and tons of food. And I got 10% off my first order with Chow Now or whatever the heck it is. And it is quality stuff. And there were at least two meals there. Tiny spot within Echo Distillery. The menu is reduced (only 3 ramen options but with a few add-on options) but the choices are all great. We had the Tan Tan Ramen, Miso Ramen, and Chicken Yakitori. Both ramen came with half a boiled egg and we added pork belly. The broth had great flavor, the noodles nice and chewy. Not a 5 stars because we ordered through our phones and the chef didn't notice our order for a bit after. I recommend ordering directly with him. Will visit again! read more

Yes, I did go to the second tasting event and yes it was even better than the last one. Miso ramen is my go-to broth and Red Rabbit did not disappoint. The miso broth was smooth and buttery, the corn topping a compliment. The egg and pork belly are everything they should be in a bowl of ramen. I thought the miso could not be out done, but the Tan Tan ramen was everything. A little bit of spice, and a lot of delicious ramen umami. And the noodles this time! They held the broth and were the perfect chew. Two bowls of heaven. The owners are awesome. So excited to continue to enjoy this ramen and watch them grow. We've gotten Rabbit Ramen delivered a few times and every time the ramen is awesome. I'm a bit of a ramen snob since visiting Japan and I've had zero complaints here. Each type of ramen we've gotten so far has been delicious (I'm partial to the miso ramen), and the noodles are really fresh which can sometimes be a toss up with delivery. And delivery is quick and well packaged - we haven't needed to reheat the broth which is a huge win. Looking forward to trying more on their menu and hopefully visit in person sometime soon! read more

We went for a tour of echo spirits and had red rabbit ramen for dinner. We highly recommend the tan tan and miso ramen, both were amazing. The miso was mild with a nice earthy flavor, I really enjoyed it with the pork belly and soy egg. My husband had the tan tan and it had a little spice but was absolutely delicious. Ramen is really good! this place is a ghost kitchen type set up but lots of signage as to where to go and what to do. Pickup was smooth; my order was ready at the time asked for. I got an order of lumpia and miso ramen. It was a 15 minute drive back home; the broth was still quite hot when I opened the container. Good packing too. Things were separated and required minimal construction to get my ramen ready. There was enough for 2 smaller bowls: perfect. I liked the broth and could taste the miso nicely. I think next time I'll try the pork belly instead of the chicken cutlet... and there will be a next time read more
