Hidden gem inside Jon's. They have really good items. They have spicy cheese pies and potato pies. Absolutely amazing. Try it out!

Saoun Bakery has some truly tasty Armenian staples. Their Lahmejun was fresh, flavorful and satisfying. Unfortunately, the staff can be quite rude and disorganized, which takes away from the overall experience. I wish the customer service matched the quality of the food. read more

I spent $27 dollars at this place today and went to pay with my debit card. The lady told me she would charge me an extra $2 if I pay by card! Seriously... there is NO sign posted saying they charge extra for card purchases. There are many great Armenian bakeries in the valley - I will NOT be coming back to Sasoun Bakery. Horrible service. Every time I come here the lady is rude and slow. She looks like she doesn't even want to help the customers because there have been times where I am just standing there and waiting for someone to come out from the back. I've been at this location several times and every time I come she is ALWAYS out of food, mainly lamajune. And she's always telling me it'll be 30 minutes before the next batch is ready. The shelves are always empty. One time I even called ahead of time and went at the time she told me to go and it still wasn't ready and she had me wait 30 more minutes!!!! This place needs more people or a different person who can provide good customer service. In the meantime, if you can go to the one on Sepulveda and Sherman Way, the lady there is amazing and very sweet. Great customer service and she always has food! read more

The most horrifying thing happened here today! I tried to get over it but I just can't stop thinking about it so here it goes... I stopped by and ordered 90$ worth of lamajun and borek and this lady took my 100$ bill and counted my change and gave it back to me and then GUESS WHAT SHE DID!?! She only wore one glove on one hand and used both hands to put my order into the bags it was so disturbing and I probably should have refused to take the food but instead I came home and threw it all in the trash! I just couldn't stop thinking about all that dirty cash she had dealt with all day and whatever else and then touched my order with her bare hand. We're in 2019! Sanitation is a priority in all businesses and it should especially be a priority in a company that's probably been around for over 30 years! I just can't believe what I saw! This lady needs to be retrained or something! This place has the best Lehmejun in town, better that the original one in Hollywood and much better than the one inside Jons Market in Sepulveda. Just a suggestion, ask for extra meat, they will charge you extra for worth it read more

Just try their Boregs. Just do it. Thank me later. I discovered Sasoun Bakery when I lived in East Hollywood years ago. But never forgot the taste of the Boregs hehe. I live in Thousand Oaks now. Everyone I introduce these cheese boregs too, falls in love just like me! Haha Also, the woman at this particular location bakes fresh daily. That's important. I'm pretty sure East Hollywood and Glendale bake fresh daily too-- tried both those locations, equally as delicious... The one in Van Nuys had some stale, old tasting Boregs. Won't go back to that location. Love this Reseda location though! Be sure to tip! The lady works hard, and does it all by herself. read more

I used to love getting the cheese bureg and Lahmajun from here but I will no longer support this business. As others mentioned, service is extremely slow and they just continue increasing the prices and lessening the amount they include in the food. The lahmajun I recently purchased had barely any meat on it and they are now making them half the size of what they used to make it. $1.54 for each lahmajun where you just taste dough. I love this place. I like the cheese boerek and the lamahjune (when available, yes, they sell out all the time.) Some of these reviews are just stupid. One dumbshit below was literally offended that their baker, who kneaded the dough and did everything by hand, is now touching their food with their hand. Horrible service and very unorganized. Waited and waited and no one even comes out to check on you. This is crazy. The food is good, but honestly a bit overpriced. I think they need more help up front so that they can better manage the craziness when it gets busy. My mom has told me - they don't even know who was in line first and who ordered vs. who didn't. I know my mom always comes here because it is so close to home, but I will sure to go somewhere else. This bakery is located inside of JONS market in the back. The parking is only up front- they have closed off the back entrance do to COVID I am assuming. The good think is that everything is Fresh. read more

This place has the worst customer service in the Valley. You have to wait 20-30 for some one to even approach the counter. If your not middle eastern they are extreme rude to you. Also if your purchase is under 10$ they charge you .50c to use your CC or debit card. The website says they are open from 7am-7pm. They never are . Seems like they close at 3pm and they run out of product. The parking situation is ridiculous. Filthy parking lot with homeless people camped out. Not a very welcoming feeling. I will say the food is good and definitely fun experimenting with new flavors. However, you can find this type of food any where in the valley with better service and prices. read more

I went hear today they are inside Jon's grocery store I got a couple cheese byorak and when I tell you they forgot to put the cheese and they have the nerve to charge $2.50 each and the lemejune had a small amount of meat filling this place has gotten so cheap with there ingredients definitely not what it used to be. read more

Id give them 10 stars if I could. One of the best Armenian bakeries in the San Fernando Valley. They are located within a Jons supermarket. You park in the back for faster access. You will always find parking and the even if there is a line at the bakery, it goes fast. There is a seating area inside as an option. The employees are always cheerful and happy to assist you in getting your order ready quickly as possible. They give you the option of heating up your order so you can walk around the store for a bit during that time. Everything on their menu is a must try. There are other locations too. read more

I love coming to this location cause its closeby to my house. However, i really dont like the fact that i have to wait for 30 minutes at times for the workers to come out and help. Love this place. Best $3 lunch in town. The small and large (spicier) cheese boureks are the bomb. I seem to have to have one of everything when I am there. Found them after visiting the Hungry Nomad truck and found out they have this bakery in Jons Market. I always get half dozen flatbread with za'atar to take home. read more
