This is the best bakery in the Los Angeles area! Their products are always fresh, delicious, and of excellent quality. Even though I live in another state, I make it a point to visit Mignon Bakery every time I see my father, and each visit makes me happier with their baked goods than the last. We have been buying pastries and bread from Mignon bakery for as long as I can remember. The large puff pastries are by far the best and remind me of bakeries in Iran. Their barbari bread is always fresh and tastes like original Iranian barbari. What we love about this place is not just the friendly service and quality pastries and bread, it's also because they always make just enough to sell the same day. I suggest you call and make sure they have what you need as they often run out. A friend bought a tiramisu cake from them last week for their dinner party and it was delicious! MIGNON BAKERY is found inside the Valley Marketplace Supermarket in Reseda. It's one of the many shops inside the building but outside the supermarket itself. Picked a cream puff and a pastry that looked good and they were both great. I would have chosen more if there were labels explaining what was on display and how much. Without knowing what I was ordering and how much it was gonna cost me, I only ordered two pieces. I gotta make sure I can afford it, right? What a surprise to find this delicious Iranian bakery in an indoor mini-mall attached to a market. We were wandering around the street waiting for friends to eat nearby and stumbled upon this bakery. I needed breakfast food for the family and saw all these cookies I've never seen before. She let me try the small round ones made of chickpea flour-wow so cool. Bought another container that looked like dumplings she said they had marzipan inside. Wow never had those so that was a hit at the house. Bought other cookies that were more familiar that I'd get at my local Armenian bakery but everything was really delicious and fun to try. read more

I usually patronize a watch store across the way and decided to come and try this place. First impression. The windows and showcases were not as clean as they should be. I played it safe and ordered two cream puffs. I paid about $3.50 for two. Generous sized cream puffs. The dough was not fresh. It tasted aged a bit. The cream was sweet and good. They have two showcases of pastries, desserts and bread. There was a previous post about these folks not serving Latino's. Not true. I'm Latino and although the lady could've been friendlier, she helped me right away. I did not get the impression whatsoever they're racist. I'd give them a second chance. They just have to improve basic housekeeping and offer fresh selection. read more

I really like this place. We were going to an event and had to bring something with us. We chose to bring some Persian cookies and meat and vegetarian piroshki. The owner is super sweet and accommodating. We called the night before and placed an order for pick-up for the next day. She had everything ready to go when we got there. The cookies were delicious, the piroshki were freshly baked and tasty. We've been going here for years and have never been disappointed. She also has a variety of Persian sweets that are available, like: cookies, cakes and the like. The only drawback is the location. It's located in the back of a grocery store, so you might be confused when you plug in the directions, but if you take the side entrance in and go to the back, there's a separate entrance into a small mall-like area. I first got introduced to this bakery when my parents were visiting from the East Bay Area they always make a stop at Mignon Bakery. They ordered pyramids of baclava for my wedding which was many years ago and held in In San Francisco. This bakery has the most amazing pastries and baclava. I come here for all my Persian dessert needs and I would love to come more often if I lived closer. There is nothing better than showing up at a friends house with some amazing baclava. You can call and make special orders ahead of time. The sooner the better so they have enough time to prepare your request. I love adding their cookies to my haft-seen table and taking the beautiful baclava pyramids to a dear friends home. Enjoy it with some milk or Persian tea and savor the sweetness. read more

I went couple days ago and paid 21.00 dollars for 2 cream puffs and 6 tiny baklava full syrup. Ther customer service is very bad. It's a small bakery that also bakes fresh Persian bread named barbaree. As far as I'm concerned they have the best barbaree bread in Los Angeles. Try the bread fresh or cut it n pieces and freeze. When ready toast it and enjoy. Don't keep it outside more than a day it becomes hard to chew. That's just the nature of the beast. P. S. I think they only have the fresh bread in the mornings and they run out my 1 or 2 pm the latest. read more

WATCH OUT: They have a sign on the window $10 minimum charge for credit card but when you buy bread over $10 they charge you still an extra 25cents per bread without you knowing. I'm not sure what the fee is for if a customer buys over $10 they should not charge extra . I also tried the sweet horrible very bad taste. The employees doesn't wear gloves when they pack the bread and sweet . Not good service read more

I purchased some Armenian Paska from Valley Produce since that is pretty much the closest middle eastern store in the area (Santa Clarita) and it was covered with mold... Thankfully I hadn't opened it up yet but once I took a closer look through the clear plastic when I was decorating for Easter at home you could see mold spots. I went back to the store to get a refund and there were several more for sale that had the mold spots all over. Never purchasing anything from Mignon again .... so gross. read more

Bought half a dozen pastries and some of them turned out to be OLD, DRY & STALE. For example, the yellow sponge cake with custard cream was OLD and STALE. So old in fact that it was not edible & had to be thrown out. The sponge cake part had dried up although you couldn't see this from the window case that it was displayed in. the lady at the counter is very dirty she touches everything with her had phone, money, tables counter and her mouth then handle all pastry and bread with the save hand not wearing any gloves! she is in the front and show how sloppy this shop is, now imagine how dirty would be in the back!! I bought some barbary bread she touches bead with same hand, it's gross!! also she charges 0.50 extra if you give her your credit card or debit without telling you! this is against the law! the most important is all her pastry and cakes and dry cookies are very old even I bought bread it was from day before they warmed it up! just notice next time if you buy anything from this place! read more

I ordered my wedding cake and my groom cake from this bakery via a contract between them and my wedding location. HORRIBLE! The cake was leaning and the groom's cake was nothing like I had described, showed pictures of, or drew. The only thing that was ok with the cake was the taste. It took a lot for my photographer to get a picture of the cake without it looking terrible. Take my advice, spend a few extra bucks and go outside of this contracted baker for your wedding cake! We ordered our daughter's B.day cake here and it was exactly what we had asked for. It was as healthy as it could get for a cake (low sugar, low fat, real cream and natural ingredients). All of our guests were impressed and asked where it was made and came for 2nd piece. They are very friendly and very welcoming. I've worked with them since the 90s. They have really fresh and tasty stuff. But more importantly is that they are really fair. I tried to order tons of pastry for a wedding not knowing how much was necessary and instead of taking advantage of my ignorance they told me how much I should get.
