No matter how much I spend I feel like it's worth it. Never felt sick from their food. The baked goods are very high quality. All the ingredients make sense. I keep coming back again and again. The worst part was the nasty young lady cashier who has a nose ring and bicep tattoos. She has absolutely ZERO customer service skills, no good manners, she was rushing us as if there was a line in the back (there's none), and as if we've been there before and should know their process by now. (This is the type of cafe where you order at the register and then they give your order to you at the table). She kept yelling at me "anything else?" I gave her the first order (mind you we felt pressured to quickly look at their menu) and she glares and yells at me "anything else?" Gives her another order, and she yells without any smile whatsoever, another "anything else?" several times. I've been to so many cafes and no other cafe has this kind of RUDE, unfriendly attitude. I don't know what her problem was, she needs to adjust her attitude or get fired!!! Don't compare them to Portos since Portos is in a league of its own. Good food, good service, no RUDE employees.

The location here in Woodland Hills is at the Topanga village right near the front/parking lot area. It was easy to find and walkable. The store itself was a throwback to those cute 50s bakery style shops. Adorable, I absolutely loved it. Decor was super cute and the inside was clean and spacious for window shopping. The staff are what make this bakery magical. Everyone was so so nice and helpful. They were even extra sweet to my friend and threw in a freebie for her as she is having her baby soon. The staff answered all my questions as it was my first time and were knowledgeable about the menu. I walked out with some delicious thin chocolate chip cookies and my friend got a cupcake. Great spot and would highly recommend checking them out if you have a sweet tooth or want some seriously impressive baked goods for a party/event.

I had the pleasure of meeting Sa'id who is part of the family owned business and such a nice young gentleman! He welcomed me in and shared with me what makes their bakery a cut above the rest. For starters they are not a French bakery. It is an eastern European style bakery which most likely means that the baked goods are heartier, dense and more substantial in texture I would say. Their croissant was more dense than a typical french croissant which is light, airy and flakey. Sa'id offered for me to try a small sliver of their napoleon soft cake and it was amazing! I bought a regular cinnamon bun and the pistachio tiramisu. I really appreciated that the cinnamon bun wasn't overly sweet. I heated it in the microwave for about 8 seconds and my husband and I enjoyed it very much. The pistachio tiramisu was also very very good! A beautiful blend of coffee flavor with hints of pistachio flavor. In fact, it was OUTSTANDING! Best tiramisu my husband and I have ever tasted! Everything is carefully handmade with lots of care and love. There were some beautiful cakes in the display. They take special orders for any occasion. They also have specialty drinks and savory pastries to select from. The shop is small with a couple tables inside and some outdoor tables with chairs. Also open 7 days a week! I can't wait to go back!

Although it was close to closing time, the young man who was minding the shop was very friendly and gracious in answering our questions. They have a beautiful selection of cake slices, pastries, and even coffee drinks available. They do custom whole cakes for birthdays and other occasions. With the name of Napoleon, I thought it was a French bakery. It turns out that they specialize in a number of European confections, including options from Eastern Europe. Without a lot of time before they were done for the day, Dear Hubby and I each chose a cake slice, and we got a cake pop for our Sweet Granddaughter. She got to pick the color icing she preferred, which was nice. The pricing seems fair, especially given the loving care that's gone into baking and decorating each baked treat. We will definitely be visiting again. They are within 5 to 10 minutes of where our kids live, so there you go - a new "secret" place discovered!

They offer by-the-piece slices of sansrival in individual containers. I discovered their sansrival at a Filipino restaurant in LA called Manila Inasal. We loved it! And fortunately for me I got to taste it again because their bake shop is not far from my house. However..... in my opinion, the slices are priced a bit higher than I can appreciate. They don't have a brick and mortar place where you can sit and eat. It's a kitchen where you walk up to pick up your order. So why are the prices similar to Cheesecake Factory slices where they have a full service restaurant and staff to justify the overhead costs? Just wondering...
