My sister-in-law stopped by here and picked up some treats while we were waiting next door at Zankou. I wish I had gone with her instead of sitting in the car. My favorite item was the cream puffs, which were fresh and delicious. She mentioned that the store is fairly new and offers a wide variety of options. I love a good person I can't wait to come back and check this place out for myself. For a bakery it's SUPER EXPENSIVE I got 5 pieces and it's was over $20; $20.99 to be exact. Service is as good as it can be for having a young adult working. The place is small, clean where the customer stands to order but messy behind the counters. Food/taste hoping is good, took a bite of the tiramisu roll the cream wasn't impressive but I'm hoping the rest is good for the price they charge. Would I go back, very likely no. read more

Let's be honest, there are so many Persian bakery options up and down Ventura Blvd - and most of them are good. What I love about Tak comes down to three things: 1. The khameh/cream in the cream puff is the most authentic and closest to what my mom used to make. 2. The various roulette flavors. Each is unique and incredibly delicious. 3. Ambience/vibes/layout. I like the set up. It is clean and modern. BONUS: the little freezer section with Persian ice cream is genius. I sincerely wish Tak Bakery much success. read more

We went back today for the Pistachio Saffron ice cream they carry in store and we were not disappointed! The flavor of the rosewater is a nice touch and the chunks of pistachio nuts is a good texture variety with the flavor. I really appreciate that the ingredient list is simple and straight forward too. I love that they don't use preservatives in their ingredients list. The staff is welcoming and helpful as usual and we feel comfortable and happy to shop in such a well managed clean shop. We're excited to go back for more goodies soon! read more

I've been to this place a few times. Their selection is very limited. They mostly have different types of meringue roulades. They're ok, but nothing extraordinary. What I can't get over is how unwelcoming the staff are. No "hi" or "welcome" or any greeting. They just ask "what do you want?". They don't even waste energy saying bye or saying thank you. Almost each time I've walked in the staff were talking amongst themselves and my presence was just an interruption to their conversation. read more

I have no particular interest in that. As far as service, its alway fairly busy, but line moves fairly fast. The staff has morfed to mostly very young counter people that have zero interpersonal skills and are not friendly. The only warmth you will get here is freshly baked Challah. Still worth a visit.

For starters they are not a French bakery. It is an eastern European style bakery which most likely means that the baked goods are heartier, dense and more substantial in texture I would say. Their croissant was more dense than a typical french croissant which is light, airy and flakey. Sa'id offered for me to try a small sliver of their napoleon soft cake and it was amazing! I bought a regular cinnamon bun and the pistachio tiramisu. I really appreciated that the cinnamon bun wasn't overly sweet. I heated it in the microwave for about 8 seconds and my husband and I enjoyed it very much. The pistachio tiramisu was also very very good! A beautiful blend of coffee flavor with hints of pistachio flavor. In fact, it was OUTSTANDING! Best tiramisu my husband and I have ever tasted! Everything is carefully handmade with lots of care and love. There were some beautiful cakes in the display. They take special orders for any occasion. Lots of variety of traditional Jewish delights, Babka, Hamamtashen, Rugelach, Challah, Russian Tea Cake (a must have) plus all the cookies and danish you can imagine. It's all very good and will kill any dieting plans you had. They have added a selection of Ube baked goods, but not sure why or how that fits with the old school Jewish bakery theme, but it's there. I have no particular interest in that. As far as service, its alway fairly busy, but line moves fairly fast. The staff has morfed to mostly very young counter people that have zero interpersonal skills and are not friendly. The only warmth you will get here is freshly baked Challah. Still worth a visit.

It was okay and better than the store bought one we bought which was from Angel's but the dough was still quite firm and not as fluffy as we would have liked. The jelly inside was okay. Overall not the best sufganiyot in town, just kinda meh.

I ordered an iced matcha latte but was given an iced latte instead. When I explained the mistake to the employee who prepared the drink, Jeff, he responded, "Well, you ordered an iced latte.I was surprised by the tone because I was certain of what I had ordered. Then he told me I should go pay the difference. I was then expected to stand back in line, the line is always very long and pay the difference $1.25 for the matcha, even though the mistake was not mine. Another employee eventually charged me the $1.25 difference, but the interaction left me feeling uncomfortable and frustrated. That employee Jeff needs a class on customer service Mistakes happen, especially when a business is busy. However, the customer should not be made to feel responsible for correcting the restaurant's mistake, particularly over such a small amount. A simple "I'm sorry, we made a mistake--we'll take care of it" would have made a big difference. (Shout out to Starbucks !) The food is good, which is why I continue to come back. My concern is that if regular customers are made to feel unwelcome or argued with over an order error, the business could lose loyal customers. I hope management will take this feedback seriously and focus on improving the customer-service. I still like the food.

That feeling never changes and it feels like a safe place to invite others to try some ice cream. If you come earlier and want to balance the sweetness with something bitter, they also serve coffee. The staff is wonderful and they treat you well. The ice cream or gelato flavors are a delight and there are some options. If you don't feel like walking outside with your dessert, they also have some seats inside. I once came with a group of 14 and we all managed to find seats, so you can make it work with what they have. Parking and holidays are probably the only thing that get in the way. Street parking is available, but you may have to park a few minutes away. I also remember this place being closed for a few days for religious reason, but there was no way to know until we went up to the storefront and read their note at the entrance.
