I haven't ever tried Georgian food, not even once did I consider it in my life. Yes I have had their delicious wines but never their cuisine and what a delicious surprise it was. We saw this place which was down the street from our house and decided to give it a go. My wife and I both didn't know what to expect and nor did we even know where to start when it came to ordering food off the menu. The waitress was so helpful and she guided us through the menu with patience. She was excited for us to try it for our first time. The place was packed with people eating and drinking wine. We started off with the white house wine which wasn't bad at all and the Harcho which was a traditional Georgian soup with beef, rice, herbs, and spices. It was very comforting, true soul food. The rice was a little over cooked in the soup but it was still enjoyable. Had a beautiful array of spices that worked well. Another dish ordered was the Khachapuri Adjaruli which was a boat-shaped bread filled with melted cheese and topped with an egg. This was heavenly. The waitress showed us how to eat it and mixed the egg and cheese for us on top. The bread itself was light, airy, yet chewy, basically perfect. The cheese and egg yolk on top was an amazing mixture and combined with this bread hands down almost perfect combination. We both loved it. Let's not forget the Khinkali which were dumplings with ground beef are like soup dumplings on steroids. Biting this almost raw twisted knob off the top of the dumpling and sucking back the juices inside was divine. Simple straight forward taste of beef and it's juices in your mouth down to your soul. I did try Megrelian Kharcho "SARCO" which had Beef, mushrooms, bacon, walnuts, and spices. This was my least favourite dish and one I didn't enjoy very much. This walnut sauce was very bitter and astringent. Leaving a foul taste in my mouth. I guarantee I will be back here again and this time with friends who have never tried Georgian Cuisine and have no desire because they will thank me later.

Beef Crepes and Badrijani (eggplant roll)

Our first dine-in since COVID! Very excited and Sarko didn't disappoint us :) We saw this place in last winter and it's been on our to-go list ever since. I've never had Georgian food, and from their menu they look very tempting. We ordered one cold and three hot appetizers, plus one entree. Badrijani (eggplant roll): it was yummy. It tasted like mince wrapped by eggplant, although on the menu it says it's walnut paste inside. If you like eggplant you should try this. Crepes and Cheburek were good too. Both contained grounded beef. Megrelian Kharsho: at a first look I thought it was beef curry, but the taste was very different; I could taste beans and nuts from the sauce. The flavor was rather special. The beef was very tender. We later on asked to add a Georgian bread to go with the entree. Oh my gosh you have to try their traditional bread, it was fresh made and so good! Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I love handmade bread and their bread was my type. This was a great Georgian food tasting experience! The waitress was very nice. Worth to revisit.

Wow. Ok, so this place goes above and beyond for you.. you can legit order anything off the menu and they'll make it for you! I wanted a side of just fried potatoes with a bit of veggies and they did that for me without any issues. Otherwise, all the food was very delicious, along with lots of variety and really nice staff. Definitely going to come back here!

Authentic Georgian food at very reasonable prices. For the two of us, we ordered Badrijani eggplant appetiser, Gebshalia cheese appetiser, staffed peppers, magrelian harcho, loaf of freshly baked lavash bread, and a bottle of Georgian red wine. We shared everything, and I really liked the appetizers and staffed peppers. The harcho was just ok, too much meat and no veggies. Service was fast, even though the restaurant was full on Sat night. The final bill with the tip was under $140, so this place is a nice find.

Megrelian Kharcho - Chicken with onion, garlic, walnuts, and Georgian spices.

My review is based on 2 items that I ate at Sarko - Megrelian Kharcho and Khchapuri Megruli. Both were excellent and mouth-watering. Especially, Megrelian Kharcho was to die for. Flavourful and tasty. Khchapuri Megruli was equally tasty and waaaaay better than any pizza. I was stuffed after this meal and even took leftovers home for later. While I'm no expert in Georgian food, Sarko knocks it out of the park with their Georgian food. Their dishes are tasty and flavourful. Certainly just as good if not better than the Georgian food I had in Moscow and St Petersburg at Georgian restaurants a couple of years ago. The people running this restaurant deserve a solid "5-star" rating. ! !

Summary: A pretty pricey kabob, around $20/person after tax and tip. This is a Georgian place. I am not that familiar with Georgian food, but I am definitely pretty familiar with kabob. To me, the kabob is good but pretty expensive. It is my first time trying Georgian food and ordered what next table is having: lamb kabob and chicken kabob. It came out in a metal hanger, which is pretty cool. The kabob tastes pretty good. This restaurant looks pretty nice, it has nice decor. There is bear at door. However, I don't think I would come back here.

First time trying this Jewel today, and I think they got me hooked and this will be my new favourite place in town! The atmosphere is very nice and inviting, warm and cozy! Service was good as well, friendly and fast. I tried their Georgian mushroom w/cheese, along with a Lamb skewer with Salad and it was all just delicious!

First time that I been to a Georgian restaurant and the dishes blew me away. Though coming in I did not know what to expect, the different dishes that I experienced were good. However because it is quite pricey than the norm, some may battle with internal struggles with whether some things are worth paying for or not. Must try is the egg and bread dish - where the egg is in the middle of the bread and you supposedly dip inside the egg with the bread when you tear it apart. Plus the dumplings are very good kinda like soup dumplings but gigantic. Overall experience has been pleasant, nice decor inside the restaurant and it greets you with a bear (scary). I would definitely give this place a try again in the future.

Water jug

This is a really cute place with Georgian decorations and art throughout. It's a little small and there are booths as well as tables. The booth seating is a bit tight so I would prefer to sit at the tables. I ordered the kharcho (Georgian soup) which is delicious and basic khachapuri which was really good (cheese baked within puff pastry dough). The service is a bit slow but atleast the food is cooked fresh. I did find that their prices are a bit higher compared to Suliko, the other Georgian restaurant nearby. I found that their kharchos were both similar but Suliko has a slightly better khachapuri. Loved the water jugs that they had and their serving platters, which were really nice and gave the place a more authentic Georgian feel. The place is very clean!

This is my 1st time trying Georgian food. The food was tasty, but the service was a bottle slow. Overall I enjoyed my time :)

I highly recommend this place. This is much different than typical Georgian restaurants foodwise, great and fast service and very polite employees. I'd definitely come back again next week!

Georgian dolls as a part of decor

Below average Georgian restaurant Nicely designed place with reproductions of famous Georgian painter Niko Pirosmani and some other ethnic decor elements. Slow, but friendly service. However in other Georgian restaurants in Vaughan you could get much better value and better service. Kebabs are not tender enough. Seems to me that something important is missing, so the dishes are "boring", they are lacking unique touch. Doesn't worth to visit.

When we noticed that a new Georgian restaurant opened in our neighborhood, we immediately decided to go there with my parents - my father loves Georgian cuisine. I have mixed impression about our visit, may be we just had high expectations... Let's start with the service, it was friendly but a bit disorganized. For example, our dish was sent to some other table and nobody even noticed this until my husband complained. The ambiance and decorations are quite nice, not sure though how I feel about black bear taxidermy... As for the food, it was a hit and miss. We liked appetizers: baked mushrooms and eggplant rolls with walnut were really good, satsivy was ok. We weren't that happy with the main dish, lamb shish kebab was very chewy, lobio was plain and tasteless, the only dish that we liked was chicken in harcho sauce. We will try to visit this place in a couple of months, hopefully the owners will pay attention to patrons' feedback and things will improve.

The food was good but there was only two server for an almost full place. I liked the ambiance.

While the noodles were not crispy, the dish was loaded with chicken, shrimp, bok choy, mushroom & other vegetables that soaked up the delicious savoury sauce. We added a cream corn soup to round out. I've also had the Szechuan Chicken before and have to admit it's another hit fast food dish. This restaurant has a mash of different menu items including pho, sushi & Thai curry as well. The sushi rolls were passable. It doesn't have to be perfectly authentic to be a good option at the mall. While we've never tried the server experience, the metal takeout tables here work perfectly fine for a quick meal. For our latest meal, we had the Ginger Beef with rice which is another pleasant Chinese takeout dish popularized locally. It came hot out of the kitchen. The deep fry technique here preserved the tenderness of the beef much better than other places where I've tried this dish. It went well with the crispy batter drenched in sweet spicy soy sauce. Skip it or it hit? If you're looking for Asian food at the mall, an occasional visit here is not bad.

You can come on your own and still enjoy a great Peking duck. We were feeling greedy, so we got the combo which came with the Peking duck, fries, quackwich with two drinks. The duck was great, with crispy skin and good amount of meat without being too greasy. I particularly enjoyed the duck bones, as the little bits of meat and cartilage was fun to nibble on.

The crepe are worth a special mention as they are individually separated with parchment. All the items arrived nice and warm though I live very close by. The duck itself is ok but I wasn't expecting a high end version but considering the price point I would say worth it especially if one can't get a group of people to join in. 3.5 stars

We were seated right away and menus provided at the same time. There was a Lunch Special menu but we decided to order full portions from the regular menu. We were able to order right away and our drinks and ice water were brought out. Our food was brought out fairly quickly, all of it being hot. Roti is a must order item! The noodles were also very tasty with the shrimp not being overcooked. Fried chicken was crispy on the outside and nice and juicy inside. Service was attentive with the servers checking on us every so often and clearing empty plates away. When we were done eating, the server packed up our leftovers for us instead of just giving us containers. You can pay by card or cash, but just be advised that they do not accept $100 bills. Parking was pretty easy to get a spot that wasn't too far from the entrance.

We were quickly seated and the service was really attentive and appreciated. At around 6-630pm the restaurant began to quickly fill with couples and families. We had the chicken and shrimp Pad Thai and the Nasi Lemak Ayam Goring. We really enjoyed the fried chicken, coconut rice of the Nasi Lemak Ayam Goring, and the amount of spice in the sambal onion and anchovies. The noodles in the Pad Thai had a firm texture which we liked, but for me the sauce was a bit sweet. If coming to the restaurant from 6pm on a weekend, the parking lot is very busy and you could be circling for a parking spot and having to move around vehicles that are double parked for take-out orders.
