For a Pan-Asian restaurant, this place has nailed down some signature Chinese dishes. The decor was modern and welcoming. My family and I were quickly greeted and seated. Our waitress was very friendly and allowed us plenty of time to review the menu and answered all the questions we had patiently. After a long day of traveling from Chicago, we were very happy to see our order came. The crispy Cantonese chow mein was absolutely delicious. We also ordered beef noodle soup and spicy eggplant. They were also very good. The price is reasonable and I would definitely visit again if I'm back in the area! .

My wife and I were in Vaughan mills doing some shopping and wanted to grab a bite to eat. Ever since I first came to this mall this restaurant has been there, but this was y first time visiting. My concern was the decor looked good, reminiscent of Dragon legend buffet, but since it was in the mall I was picturing Manchu wok food with high prices. Most of my assumptions were correct upon entering. The decor is decent, prices were a smidge higher then usual but the food was actually tastier then I expected. The service was definitely lack luster though. We stopped in at 5 on a Friday and the place was empty. Took us 4 minutes before we were acknowledged. When we were seated, they just gave us menus without asking us what we wanted to drink and just walked off. Service could have been better, but guess they didn't care. If Im in the mall I wouldn't mind coming back, but again wouldn't look to come here specifically.

Took my daughter here today for lunch with her friends for her birthday and it was an excellent experience. The food was fantastic. Fresh. Hot. Service was remarkable. Calamari was amazing. Sushi was fresh. Chicken fried rice was delicious. Chicken teriyaki was hot and delicious. I was shocked at how good everything was! The staff were very attentive and accommodating. We will be back for sure!

Most "Asian Experience" ever. The waiter questioned our order if we could finish it (Perking Duck). When the Duck came he cut about 15% of the Duck and took it back. The second course came and supposedly it's supposedly the remainder of the Duck but it was so little that two people were able to finish it. We are almost 100% certain they did not give us the full Duck we paid for yet shaved about 40% off. During paying the bill. Me and my friend split it 50\50 on a $76ish meal. So I put $40 while my friend put $50. My friend wanted change, and he (the waiter) asked "YOU WANT CHANGE?" Then he asked me to give him change from my wallet. Probably because he was watching my wallet and saw me with extra bills. I refused. Then my friend asked for 7$ change. He went and came back and put a $10 bill and a few coins about 4$. He EXPECTED to get the $10 bill for not even refilling water or anything. The biggest thing is he scammed us of the duck because he said the whole duck is very filling and two people can't finish it but we did (and we are not even large). There is no way a whole duck can only make those two small courses. (See pictures) Definitely not recommended.

We had lunch today at Szechuan Szechuan. Steve and Dave started with soup. They also ordered tuna rolls and sashimi (more than they expected arrived). Not my thing but pretty! Steve and Dave both ordered Szechuan Beef with a side of white rice. I love Szechuan Szechuan but haven't been in a long time (it's the first time I've been to this location). I ordered what I usually get ... Szechuan Chicken with a side of white rice. There was a lot and I had good intentions of eating half and taking the other half home for supper ... but it was so delicious that I ended up eating it all but the green peppers! Our server took good care of us.

Great service and amazing sweet and sour pork. We have been here a couple of times and they never fail to impress.

First time here. Went straight to the dine in area instead of the take out area. The servers are super quick and super nice! The food is delicious. And the food presentation is great too! Will definitely come back for more delicious food here!

Went here for dinner while holiday shopping and had a great dinner! We ordered four dishes and a few appetizers for four people and there was a ton of food! For appetizers, we had the shrimp dumplings and chicken lettuce wraps. For dinner we had the general tso chicken, Singapore rice noodles, Szechuan white fish, and Cantonese shrimp crispy noodles. All were delicious!! I loved the red and black interior. Large booths for groups. Great for gatherings. Large open space. Friendly staff and quick service. I really enjoyed my meal here!

Place really went down. My fried rice was burnt. Looked like I got the left overs from the bottom of the pot. And on top of that saw a cockroach running across the floor. He then climbed the side of the table. Very gross. I'm not sure what happened. It used to be so good here.

I used to get the kids meal which consist of fried rice or noodle with 2 pieces of chicken. Don't recall the price but it's less than $10 (I feel like it's $5 or less). The chicken is so good! This time around we got 2 boxes of chicken (24) and noodles for total of $32. Service is ok! And there's food court if you want to eat there. Otherwise mainly takeout spot. Also get the red sauce! It's so good with the chicken. They also gave me hot sauce packets and soy sauce.

China Wok Super Chinese Food provides the best-breaded chicken wings in the Greater Toronto Area…read more The scrumptiously marinated wings are coated with a seasoned batter (with unique, refreshing seasoning blends, such as rosemary) and fried to an absolute crispy golden brown. Once you start those wings, you can't stop. In fact, these wings are so good that I ordered 200 of them for my party last winter, and I still don't get tired of those damn wings! Also - they are great if you keep them in the fridge for a day & reheat them too. Although their fried rice and vegetables are not as out-of-this-world as their wings, they all still pack great wok hei while tasting surprisingly "healthy" (because they are not as heavily seasoned as other Chinese food places). I think the chef wanted to ensure that the other dishes did not steal the show of their wings. Overall, I strongly recommend China Wok Superb Chinese food, regardless of whether you want to grab a combo meal with wings, rice and vegetables or just ten wings for a meal. They are all great options with a decent price.

We were watching on YouTube and saw that the bloggers were reviewing the location in Richmond Hill. We assumed that the Vaughan location was the same one. So, that was our fault. But, we decided to stay and didn't feel like traveling all the way to the other one. We were immediately seated after we arrived. The place is pretty big, with a very elegant interior. Tables seating up to 4 people line the leftmost wall, which has framed paintings adorning it. Circular tables for groups of 8 sit in the center of the restaurant and on all of the tables are crisp white tablecloths with beautifully folded green cloth napkins. The specials are also written on a framed green chalkboard on the back wall and the place is illuminated by built-in spotlights. We ordered the following: Braised Tofu with vegetables - Daughter liked it a lot. She said that it tasted like Chinese takeout but in a good way. Basa Fish Chili Bean Sauce- This was ok, but I thought the sauce was the same as the other orders. Spicy eggplant with shrimp- Hubs said that this tasted similar to the braised tofu with vegetables and it was ok. Overall, we felt that these 3 entrees and sauce all tasted the same. It was ok but no big deal. This place is located next to a mall, so there was plenty of parking. Service was quick and friendly. We told our server about daughter's peanut allergy and it was noted on our bill. There were quite a few other tables occupied. I'm glad we got a chance to try this place. Always wanted to try Canadian Chinese food!

The use of traditional elements, paper-cut window designs, red Spring Festival couplets, old-style newspaper wall coverings, and exposed brick adds a strong sense of nostalgia. It feels immersive and intentional, almost like stepping into a countryside home in Dongbei rather than a typical restaurant. The décor isn't fancy, but it's rich in cultural detail and warmth, perfectly matching the hearty, comforting style of Northeast Chinese cuisine. The space is unique and perfect for taking photos. The food here is very generous. We ordered the 4-person set with two side pots. Tomato Braised Beef Brisket and Chicken Stewed with Mushrooms and the portions were huge. Both pots arrived steaming hot and filled to the brim, clearly meant for sharing. The braised beef was rich and hearty, while the chicken pot was comforting and full of flavor, making it perfect for group dining or cold weather meals. Combined with the rustic, traditional décor, it really feels like authentic Northeast Chinese comfort food. The food and atmosphere were excellent, though the service was a bit lacking. The restaurant was packed and it was a bit hard to get a hold of a server at times, but their service was pretty good overall given the speed, ability to customize some menu items, and attentiveness. We ordered the Scallops with Vegetables, and we got to choose what type of vegetables we wanted (usually we don't get to choose in other Chinese restaurants). We opted for choy sum, but we also could've chosen from a selection of mixed vegetables, bok choy, snow peas, mushrooms, etc. Surprisingly, the scallops came as jumbo scallops. I was expecting smaller-sized scallops like in other Chinese restaurants. The dish was tasty and I could taste the ginger. Seafood and Garlic Fried Rice was alright - no different than those in other similar restaurants. The rice was quite dry and there were small pieces of shrimps and scallops in the mix.

Tip: The eight-course meal is excellent…read more My best friend asked me if I'd like to go for dim sum with his family after his mom's funeral. I had forgotten that it was customary after a Chinese funeral (his mom was Chinese and her husband was Vietnamese) to have something to eat after a funeral. I was moved that he was thinking of me during a difficult time. I said yes. He got his niece to get me the address of the restaurant. She conveniently had a business card, which made it easy. I saw Legend Chinese Restaurant. I put it into my maps app, and drove my friend and me over there. He insisted that I drive him. Maybe my company provided him comfort. I know that the reverse was true. It was nice to spend some more time catching up with him as we headed northbound. This eatery is in a plaza with Red Lobster across from it. We had dined there together eons ago. There was lots of parking. I backed into a spot and we walked over to the restaurant. A woman greeted us. Both of us wearing black made her realize that we were a part of a larger group that had come from a funeral. She pointed us into a closed area with wall dividers that separated us from the rest of the customers chowing down. We didn't have dim sum. Instead, we had an eight-course meal. I had never dined here, so I was looking forward to what we were about to eat. Each table had to make one seat space open for the server to come with food. I happened to be next to this gap. It has its pros and cons. I helped move dishes and such to make way for new dishes to arrive. Our server did spill some water on the table, but it wasn't crazy. I loved the lazy Susan. Our table had eight people. It was needed to get to whatever we wanted on it. We had hot looseleaf tea and hot water in tea pots. The tea was yummy, but I had no clue what it was. We ended up pouring the hot water into the looseleaf tea pot when we were running low. Our server was also great to refill the pot with the looseleaf tea a number of times. We got the following items during our meal: - Roasted pork - Shrimp and scallop soup - Chicken - Sweet and sour pork - Shrimp and scallops with sugar snaps - Steamed fish - Mushrooms with baby bok choy - Tofu pudding - Fortune cookies Half our table were vegetarians, so almost everything wasn't suitable, except for the tofu pudding. Folks at the table were kind to let me take photos of most dishes before we wrecked them, except for the vegetarian tofu vegetable medley that came out. They were so hangry that they simply went in. I have a mental picture of the generous rectangles of tofu, with mushrooms and baby bok choy. There may have been more veggies. I was happy that they could finally eat! We started with the roasted pork. It was excellent. The pork was succulent. The pork skin was crispy. Delicious! I loved the shrimp and scallop soup. It had small cubes of shrimp and baby scallops in a nice broth. The large bowl of soup sat next to me. It was deadly. I love soup. No one wanted seconds, so I polished it all. The chicken was tender. It was nice with the scallion oil. My friend and I remarked that the sweet and sour pork was excellent. It's probably because we are so used to chicken as the protein. The pork was crispy even with the sweet and sour sauce coating each morsel. The pork was tender. I loved the bell pepper and the pineapple chunks. The shrimp and scallops with sugar snaps was divine. I love sugar snaps and they were perfectly cooked while still crispy. The shrimp and scallops were large and yummy. I grew up with my mom steaming an entire fish. It's dealing with the bones that is annoying. Thankfully, a man at our table went ahead and portioned out the fish such that he eliminated most of the bones. Wow! Can I have this man de-fillet any fish that I want to eat?! The fish was naturally yummy from the steaming method. I loved the green onions on top and the soy-based sauce. I love mushrooms. The fact that we had an assorted mushroom dish with baby bok choy was awesome! Sadly, there was oyster sauce in this dish, so the vegetarians couldn't enjoy it with us. There were two different types of mushrooms. The large ones were meaty. The smaller ones were yummy, but difficult to pick up with chopsticks. I ended up eating them with a soup spoon. There was steamed rice at our table. I had some with the mushroom sauce. It was delicious. We ended up with tofu pudding. We got to scoop the tofu out and then add the syrup. The tofu and syrup were warm. It was a delightful dessert that wasn't all that sweet. We got a large bowl of fortune cookies to end our meal. My fortune said that I tend to be straightforward and honest. My friend joked that my fortune was completely wrong... haha! I used the washroom before I headed home. The women's washroom was clean. No complaints. I loved the food here. It was top-notch delicious. It was comforting and much needed. I'd love to have dim sum here and see what that's like. (413)
