Excellent food always and we are very impressed with their superlative and warm service

Really good place to eat. Food is tasty and well prepared. It tastes fresh. I ordered the Tom Kha Kai soup and pad see... pad see something or other... with chicken. Both were delicious and I could tell they used quality ingredients and cooked them properly with just the right amount of seasonings. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Frequently asked if I needed anything without being annoying or intrusive. Prices are reasonable for the area (which means prices are really high but... The same or less than comparable places around here). Very clean and well decorated. The music is pleasant without being too loud. The furnishings are in great condition and clean. The room is a comfortable temperature. It smells like fresh air. This seems like it would be a great place to bring a date. Hopefully next time I'll get here before 3pm so I can get the lunch special. I have no complaints about this place. read more

I was here on a Thursday night. This place wasn't full. There were a few families. It's beautiful on the inside dimly lit and they have a full bar. The food came out pretty quickly and it was hot! We could not eat it right away. It was however very delicious. I ordered shrimp pad Thai and it was tasty. I didn't order from the bar instead I ordered my favorite thing, Thai tea. It was perfect! There is really no decent thai food in the area except for this one. I was surprised that people wrote the portions was small. One appetizer and one entree and i'm stuffed. I think people are confusing the word small with healthy. I been to some chain restaurants and the portions are ridiculously gigantic and they charge you more for there dishes. Prices very decent, parking is a problem if you try to park in front of the building I suggest you park to the other side of the building. Service is alright, the food can take awhile when it's really busy. But I'm usually not in a rush. Bottomline food here is really good worth the trip. read more

Frequented this place often when I lived in Glen Cove. It was the only good Thai food in the area that we found. The duck and curry dishes are fabulous and the curry rice is awesome. However, the more simply dishes like Pad Thai are a bit boring here. I think they are very Americanized and they cut out of a lot of the things like fish sauce to not offend the American palate. But did I mention the duck? It's great. :) read more

Not sure why the reviews for this restaurant are not higher. Every time I've been here the service has been prompt and corteous without hovering and you never have to wait very long to get your food. Every time I go here I order the iced tea, the tofu appetizer, the dumplings and one of the house salads. Iced tea is delicious! The tofu appetizer is also perfect, cooked so the tofu is light and fluffy. The dumplings are my favorite that I've ever had -- never oily and very flavorful for chicken. Love the peanut dressing on the salad. Lychee on ice-- yum! read more

One of my favorite places to eat. Whenever my guy and I want to get an inexpensive dinner (or lunch) at a restaurant, we go here - easily twice a month, sometimes more. The staff are so friendly and kind. I always feel so at home there. Lunch specials are a huge bargain - and for dinner, I recommend the Siam Noodle. Mmmm. Don't miss this place. read more

The food is always delicious, they have fantastic lunch specials, the staff is always extremely nice, and their fried ice cream is served ON FIRE! I'm not sure what else you could possibly want in a restaurant. Service is fast and everything is always very clean. Parking can be a pain in that tiny little lot, but nobody is perfect. I work around here so either many co-workers go here or another sister company that's around here goes here. FIrst off, the service is horrible. The wait staff are either rude or or service incompetent. The food isn't all that great and let me tell you what was the worst part. We ordered take out and what happens? We see TWO cockroaches scurry out of one of the bags. NEVER WILL EAT HERE OR ORDER TAKE OUT... NEVER GOOD WHEN COCKROACHES COME OUT OF YOUR BAGS!! read more

One of the best Thai restaurants on Long Island. When I'm in the area, I visit at least once a week (and now they know me and my typical order). Absolutely incredible pad Thai. Awesome pad se ew. My wife and I love Thai food and stopped in here at random while in Glen Cove one weekend. The service was great, and the prices reasonable, but the food, not all that great. i can't believe i've never reviewed this place! food is always consistent, my favorite for thai on the island. their tom ka kai soup is incredible. one of the best i've had. i usually go for the siam noodle (stir fried flat noodles with barbecued duck) or this appetizer special they usually have which is crispy chicken, mango slices, cashews, onion, in a sweet apple lime sauce. flavors work so well! like i said, what i like about sarin thai is that it is ALWAYS consistent. never a bad meal there. also they have the cutest utensils and the decor is adorable! read more

Used to come here years ago and thought we'd give it another try. Upon walking in, my daughter commented about the bad smell in the room. Our entrees took a long time, and the behavior of the waitstaff was not very professional. That aside, the well-prepared dishes were the crispy duck salad and the sautéed eggplant. The vermicelli noodles in the spring rolls and shrimp and pork salad with vermicelli had a strange bleach taste. The thin-sliced chicken breast in the green curry was super dry and the beans were hard. The pineapple fried rice was ok, but other places include more ingredients instead of just shrimp and pineapples and the rice is not usually as wet. read more

We had a group of 8 and all enjoyed dinner. Our courses ranged from curries, stir frys, appetizers, pad thai, pinapple rice, and deserts. I have had Thai food before and this was very good. The service was first rate. The spice level was adjusted to the level of the patron. I like things extremely hot. I had a good sweat and nose run. I was happy. I still give this place 5 stars, but I need to expand on my previous review. The decor is quite romantic, very original, with a subtle flare of Thai culture. The silverware stands out, because of its chic style. As a explained in my previous review, the service is very friendly and attentive. The food is the standout component. This restaurant is Zagat rated, meaning superiority of food, decor, and serving. The food is somewhat expensive, but worth every penny. We usually start off with the beef/chicken satay, spring rolls, or the Thai crab cakes. The crab cakes are really fresh and not what you are used to. I enjoy the lard nar, gravy noodle, but have found liking in the Thai glass noodle with shrimp, egg, and bean sprouts. That is their standout dish. They also serve a variety of Thai classics, along with other more authentic dishes, like frog legs, duck, and some delicious soups! Try this place out sometime. read more

This is my uncle's go to Thai place so we tried it out. Got lots of dishes but the memorable ones were the Pad Thai and also a Panang Chicken. Service was friendly and fast and the place filled up for dinner. Prices were fair. Definitely not the best Thai I've had but still a very solid place. read more

Affordable and decent portion sizes for lunch takeout. It was $8.74 including tax for a beef pad se eew which also came with a chicken and rice broth. The pad se eew needed some more flavor and the beef was extremely dry. The best part of the meal was the broth so choose the soup for lunch as opposed to the salad! read more

The decor is nice, the wait staff helpful, and it's the only Thai restaurant in the area. Those points still don't make up for the fact that the food is just OK. It's definitely watered down Thai, overly thick and sugary sauces that overpower the ingredients. This is a very americanized Thai place. I do have to agree that they have the coolest utensils. I had the Siam Noodle which is a stir fried rice noodle with barbecued duck. It was okay, nothing exceptional. I've had better in California. read more

My husband and I got the pineapple fried rice with chicken. It was good but I've had better, it was a little spicy as well which the dish usually isn't. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Overall not a bad place, however there are better thai places on Long Island. read more

On two separate occasions, about a week apart, I got the red veggie curry from Sarin. It tasted good, but on both occasions I got super sick at my stomach afterwards. The second time, it lasted more than a week. Not sure if perhaps the coconut milk had gone bad, or what it was, but that curry was definitely the source of the problem. Bummer. read more

Nice lunch special, the key being an excellent salad included. (Only Lengs in Astoria does better on that in my experience, and I consider that they key to balance in a Thai dinner.) The vegetable massaman is very good, we combined that with a vegetable plate, forgot the name, not Pad Thai, both were solid. Now I can't say about the dinner prices, after all it is an upscale area, for north shore Thai lunch you get a very pleasant open-window understated decor, good food, reasonable price, helpful service (you have to ask for a special spice rack though, that looks almost Indian) and with that fine salad included. And we had no odor problem at all, maybe the earlier poster hit a bad day on that, so I would take that with a grain of smelling salts :) . read more

One of the few authentic Thai restaurants on the North shore of Nassau County. We had the tofu appetizer, which was different but good. The scallop curry was great with medium spiciness. The shrimp pad thai with a kick of spicy was very good and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. And the beef massaman curry had great flavor but the beef was slightly overcooked. The curry rice that came with the entrees topped it off. Great place to go if you're looking for something different. read more
