I came across this amazing #momakase deal for one person on Uber Eats and I just had to order it. For $40 bucks I had to choose two rolls and the rest are sushi and sashimi. I chose eel avocado and shrimp tempura rolls. When the food came in there was lots of pickled ginger which worked really well. There was also a good amount of wasabi to mix with the soy sauce. Totally worth the $40 bucks. read more

Average sushi and they did not include any white rice with the sashimi sushi dinner. Salmon teriyaki portion size not impressive but taste was good. I reserve 4 and 5 stars for a place where I can say any of these things: 1) The food is great l; 2) the menu is great; or 3) they give you great value. Didn't get that here. Came here on a whim because I was in the area. VERY happy with my choice. The food was ready within 10 minutes of calling it in. The sushi was very fresh and delicious. I got the lunch special which was a great deal because you get both a soup and salad while other place usually make you pick between the two. I would absolutely come back here again, everything from the sushi to the salad dressing was delicious. Highly recommend. read more

I would like to give this place 3.5 stars. I ordered a miso soup, lobster roll, Philadelphia roll and a sweetheart roll. This came out to $48. It was a little bit more than I wanted to initially spend, but I did get 3 more than expensive rolls. The lobster roll had "fresh"/real mango on it. I used "fresh" because the mango seemed kinda hard and unripened. I wasn't the biggest fan of that roll. The other 2 rolls were fine. If this is the only sushi spot in the neighborhood, then I guess it's fine. Disclaimers: I don't live in the neighborhood, but I was nearby; I haven't tried other sushi spots in the neighborhood. I didn't die or was sick, so that's a plus. It's always like proceed with caution when trying new sushi spots. I do rely on my fellow Yelp users. I hope this is helpful to the next person. read more

Ordered takeout sushi using their Beyond Menu app which confirmed it would be available for pickup "ASAP" but provided no time. For some reason either the app or the restaurant inserted a time for pickup of 36 minutes later. The waitress (young female Asian) said they only put in the order 20 minutes after I had ordered it rather than when it first came in, and proceeded to fight and argue and even follow me out the door. In addition, the unagi don eel bowl says there are twelve pieces but they only gave us six! Ripoff. Terrible service, so I am downgrading the prior review. read more

Never ever ordered from this place again. If you're hungry , craving for sushi and haven't had dinner , please do not order from this place. I usually order from either Tokyo sushi or Kotobuki, but Tokyo sushi is closed at 9PM and Kotobuki wait time is too long, so we gave Yuzu a try. I ordered few items and two items were missing from my order. My fiancé and I tried one of the sashimi and we almost threw up. I just can't eat the rest of the food. We also ordered some rolls, nope i didn't touch any of them. I ended up eating ramen. The food looked like you bought it from STOP and SHOP. Worse experience ever. The amount of money i paid, I can get a nice platter from Kotobuki or pay less for a nice platter at Tokyo sushi. My $2 ramen is better than this. Definitely not worth it . read more

Yuzu They serve substitute fish for yellowtail and for crispy rice tuna it was not tuna!!! They don't know anything about sushi rice or how it's made it was one of the worst tasting experience going for sushi! The best sushi I eat is at Bonsai in port Washington all fish are genuine tasty and first grade quality served perfectly! read more

Yuzu has become our go to for Japanese food. You can't beat their dinner bentos. Not many places have bentos for dinner and they are easily the best deal. They give you the option of having two different meat entrees and the pricing is very reasonable. read more

I used to absolutely love this place. The quality, the service all in all has gone down. I live around the corner and I rather drive elsewhere to get sushi. I came in on a Saturday at 6:30pm and they only had one other table. They sat me and everything was rushed. The server gave me the menu and immediately asked me if I knew what I wanted and i let her know that I needed a minute. Five minutes later she asked again and I ordered the spicy tuna pizza ( I did not realize how much fried rice it was--may bad not theirs) and a sunset roll. They both came out immediately. The sunset roll was awful because the sushi rice was not cooked properly, the crab salad on top was tangy almost sour. I didn't eat the tuna pizza because of the amount of fried rice. I spilled some soy sauce and I used the ONE napkin I was given and the waitress kept looking over and never came over. I kept trying to get her attention for another napkin and she would just peak at my table and walk away. The whole experience was awful. I asked for the check and didn't want to wrap the food. It's a shame because this really used to be my favorite sushi spot. The staff honestly does not care and just wants to get the customers out the door. read more

Hidden gem. Their sushi is really fresh and tasty. I just tried their toro tartar and it literally melted in my mouth. Their cut rolls are also great and reasonably priced. I have been here several times in the past and I will continue going back. I knocked off a star because the service can be a little slow even when the restaurant isn't too busy, but still a great joint! Highly recommend. read more

I like Yuzu. The service is always very good as well as the quality of the sushi. Why go to Kotobuki when you can support this smaller family owned business and pay a whole lot less? For sit down sushi this has been our go to spot. Only negative is when it is hard to find parking in the pay lot across the street. Go to Yuzu, you will not be disappointed. read more

Came here for a quick lunch. Ordered the spicy and crunchy with tuna, double salmon roll, and St Marks roll. The shrimp tempura and crab meat was the perfect compliment to the other two rolls. My only disappointment was not having the time to try a few mor things. There were so many incredible rolls to chose from I'll definitely be coming back. read more

So I came in here for takeout for a spicy tuna roll, amazing roll, garden salad, and a crab roll. I looked at the menu online and was pleased with their options but confused that my total was 36.66$ total. I thought first it was a lot of tax added on to my total, but then I saw the crab roll was charged for 10$ when it was listed on the menu for like only 4$. The spicy crunchy roll was 6$ and was listed for only 2.5$ on the menu online. The garden salad and amazing roll were evenly priced. I also ordered a side of spicy mayo sauce but instead they gave me spring eel sauce. Overall, the sushi was very good and I was pleased with the quality I just thought the price difference from online versus in the restaurant needs to be updated. As for the location the place inside is nice however the parking is terrible and it was a struggle to find a good place without getting a parking ticket. If you are coming to Roslyn I would recommend dining in and not taking out as the parking isn't really the best and they can confuse what you ordered. read more

Super small, youre best off ordering to go but if your picking up from the passenger seat because theres no parking. this area is horrendous to park in. you have to pay on the street and in the lot its annoying. the food is really good here, a little more expensive than other places. read more

The food was good, nothing all that memorable- just a good sushi spot. Went there with my brother for a weekday lunch. There was limited parking but it does exist. My brother had the ramen and i had a bento box, both were fine. Nothing wowed me but it was good. A I love plenty of restaurants in the Roslyn area and I'm just not sure if i'd go out of my way to come here. I'd go out of my way for Kotobuki and I don't understand why they are rated the same on Yelp. I will say that the staff was very friendly and it was a run of the mill good sushi spot. read more

A nice average sushi restaurant in the middle of Roslyn's dining district. Restaurant is cozy (which is to say it's small) so seating can be at a premium during busy times. I've been ordering from Yuzu for the past 7 years I've lived in Roslyn. I used to think this other Japanese place (no names) was more catered to taste and quality but it was more costly and definitely after Covid, that place has gone down in ratings for me. This is not to take away from Yuzu. They've always been consistent in quality and presentation and taste and always followed my directions (cut rolls into 8 pieces for my boys). Now they even have uni, botani ebi, and the uni special for delivery. Truly yummy!!! I will keep ordering to ensure they stay in business read more

What a super little restaraunt in the heart of Roslyn. I lucked out as it wasn't too busy so I managed to sit at the sushi bar. Awfully nice people. Service was exceptional. Bad Food, Bad Service... Never Again. We live in the area and decided to try it for lunch. We both love sushi and spent time in Japan during my medical residency. Yuzu is worse that two day old supermarket sushi. in addition to being "tasteless" the portions were small and thrown on a plate. It was not crowded and they had a full staff, and still got the order wrong twice. There are so many better options in the immediate area I warn you... pass on this place! read more

Food wise everything was great. The sashimi, rolls, and apps were delicious. We liked the tuna tar tar and spicy tuna rice for apps and the sashimi was super fresh. They have a nice little wine list and a decent drink menu. Overall definitely recommend if your in the mood for some fire sushi.

I would note that it was freezing out and all the cold air came in when the front door opened. This made it very uncomfortable - I wonder how it is when it's really hot outside. Also, because it is a small restaurant, noise levels could be elevated. Spicy dumpling soup - very good but dumpling had no flavor. Probably store bought. Fluke carpaccio - very good. Some shrimp appetizer - shrimp was small and sauce was almost like a curry sauce. I would pass. Sushi platter - very good. Nigiris are pretty small. This won't fill you up. Grand wazoo roll - this was okay, torched squid was a little tough. Isn't she lovely roll - this was okay. Steak with potatoes and brussels sprouts - not much steak but very tender. Brussels sprouts were nicely cooked. Overall, a good experience especially with the service being top notch. While sitting on the high top worked, it took away from the experience. I would get a regular table or sit at the sushi bar. We were also distracted from the cold air coming in that my wife had to wear her coat. If you like a modern take on sushi, I think you would like this place but if you're looking for something more traditional, I would look elsewhere.

We did not experience any changes in food quality or portions under the new ownership. The prices were around the same as last time, and fish is still fresh and tasty.
