Wonderful service and beautiful Thai flavors!!! Such an unexpected experience on Long Island.

Wifey wanted Thai and this place was in the area. Having never been didn't know what to expect. Wifey always orders pad see ew with either beef or shrimp and she loved it. Says it tasted great. I got the appetizer combo figured it was the most bang for my money. I enjoyed everything except for the Thai chicken wings. The seasoning didn't agree with my taste buds. But everything else on the plate was great. I also ordered the Thai iced coffee as I have been looking for a place that had it. Was a little too sweet and small serving size for $4. Service was great. Was seated as soon as we walked in. Staff were friendly and attentive. It was not too busy for dinner. I appreciated that there were other patrons inside. Decor was beautiful. Very clean and well lit. We will definitely be back but next time i wont they the Thai chicken wings. read more

The Good: restaurant is spacious with many tables and seats. There is a full service bar, and everything seems clean and modern. There is also a small parking lot attached along with street parking. The location is convenient if you are looking for Thai food. Staff was courteous and quick with their service. Prices were also reasonable with large portions. The Mid: food was average. There are definitely better Thai restaurants with more flavor out there. The appetizers came out very quickly (which can be both a good and bad thing). The main complaint I have about the food is the lack of flavor and depth. It tastes like Thai food, but nothing I would rave about ‍ The Bad: there's nothing explicitly bad about this place, but also nothing amazing either. Just average. Recommendations: shorten the menu and focus on perfecting a few dishes. There were too many choices, with no stand outs. It's our first time at this location and we came after visiting friends in the area, though we've been to the Woodside location before. The food was mostly okay, but the ginger chicken was dry and overcooked. Better go to a place that specializes in Thai chicken rice. Also, the sukee was unbelievably spicy despite it being described as "mild spicy". We're familiar with Thai spicy levels but this was in no way "mild", more like "wild". I may give this place another try when I'm in the area again but I'd stay away from any of the "mild spicy" items. read more

Authentic thai restaurant with a large selection of both entrees as well as desserts. I tried the drunken noodle and the combo pork strips with papaya salad and both were excellent with good flavors. It was busy and service was not the fastest but they were attentive at filling the water. Also, don't forget dessert! I got D20--which was warm with a toasted black sesame sugar. Service was great and attentive! The ambiance was giving not fully casual but not fully fancy. Food - the food itself was good I knocked off stars because the pad see ew, pad Thai, and drunken noodles didn't have flavor as it normally does. I'm not sure if it was the day we went or if the flavor and spice has been made mild because of the location but it didn't meet our standard to other Thai spots. Again it's unclear if it was the day or location because odd thing is that the Woodside location I've never had this experience. The food was good and fresh just missing flavor. This is the worst location. I don't know what happened but this place used to be good. The service is horrible and slow. We waited over 30 min for out food and The pork dish we ordered came out undercooked so we sent it back. When they brought it back out after 20 min it was burned. I have been coming here for over 20 yrs. I think the mgmt changed and the servers are all newish. I would not come here again. If I ever went back it would be tp the woodside location. Finally tried them after so long and it was because we were in the area. The food did not disappoint especially their curry and salted beef fried rice. Their menu is pretty expansive and honestly a bit overwhelming for a first timer but it was nice to see items that you don't normally see at other Thai restaurants. Let's start with their salted beef fried rice. I was looking for something not spicy and my mom happens to pick this item. It's similar to the crab fried rice most places offer except with beef that's a bit fried. I loved this. The freshness with the cilantro def added freshness to this dish. They also have lots of dessert items which is also not expected in most Thai restaurants so that was nice to see as well. They were all in a fridge towards the back and you can go up to browse through them. The place itself was nice, dimly lit and modern. read more

Finally, I've been meaning to try this place for ages and I'm just not always in the hood. My friend reminded me of this Thai place when I suggested Thai food. I was so glad she suggested it. Having been to Thailand before, I do miss the food. And now that i know the Thai options in NYC are decent but many places are not quite right. This menu reminded me of my trip. The decor and the photos displayed on the wall, totally took me back to that beautiful place. The aroma and dishes coming out of the kitchen were also reminiscent of my trip. The dessert fridge especially so, as in Thailand, they sell sweets everywhere. The night markets, bakeries, and restaurants all have desserts on hand. I eyed a few to want to take home so at my friend's suggestion, I ordered that before eating so that I could ensure they wouldn't sell out beforehand. As they only make a select quantity, it was a great idea to order it to go as we waited for our food. Appetizers: recommend the chive pancakes, not too greasy and it had a nice texture. Entrees: some dishes are not available after 5pm so do check that before ordering (there's a page that mentions it). We opted for a fish curry (mild heat but still spicy enough) and pad see ew with beef (delicious noodles, cooked to the perfect consistency). Desserts to go: egg yolk drops, coconut jelly, and Thai iced tea jelly. Very sweet. Real coconut flavors and thick jelly cubes. The egg yolk drops were fun to eat given the droplet shape. We walked and were sat at table and immediately given menus and decided to order some drinks as well. Batman got a Mai Thai and Robin decided to join Batman in that regard and got Mai Thai also. Batman felt the liquor while robin enjoyed the liquor. Batman ordered the Chicken Pad Thai while Robin got the Chicken drunken noodles. I dined at this establishment today. I ordered the Rad Na that's described as a noodle dish in a gravy but it is noodles in a gelatinous liquid, more like a soup than a gravy. I informed them that it was not described the way it was presented and I received an attitude from the staff. I changed it to another noodle dish. While I was eating the fire alarm went off, blaring and deafening. My friend and I ears are ringing from the sound. Food is okay. We try to order different things on the menu every time and try things we never had before. Nothing stood out from our recent visits. I regretted ordering the Thai tea and longan drink because they are too sweet. If they could serve in a large glass and dilute a little, I would enjoy them more. Service is always below average. When you offer such an extensive menu like a book, please leave us more time to read and figure out. When the waitress put a dish on our table, my friend was gonna ask for something, but the next second the waitress disappeared already. It difficult to catch the waitress and her attention. Still, they automatically include 18% gratuity in the check. I used to frequent SriPraPhai in the Woodside location but now that I am a Long Islander this is the location I go to and it is definitely just as good in my opinion. They have a small parking lot but it's easy to find street parking. I have come here during lunch and early dinner hours and never had to wait for a seat, although I have seen people wait as I was leaving dinner once (probably close to 8pm on a weekend). They take reservations via phone as well. We always order the same things here. The fried soft shell crab with shredded green mango sauce, duck noodle soup, chicken green curry with noodles, and the kao soy - always a hit. They do accept credit card here unlike the Woodside location. Can't wait to come back. read more

This is my family's favorite thai restaurant. We've been coming here for years both at the Woodside and Williston Park location. But sometimes it is a hit or miss on the food. Highly recommend - shrimp fried rice, sauteed beef with oyster sauce, sauteed crispy pork belly, massaman curry, bean curd soup, fried chive vegetable dumpling, fried calamari, and chicken satay. You can't go wrong with ordering the thai iced tea. It's the best! Their woodside location is still a cash only business, while their Williston Park location accepts both cash and card. This location has a designated parking lot but spaces are limited. There is street parking available around the area. The staff is attentive and refills your water whenever it's close to empty. Haven't gone here in years, but was craving some pineapple pork fried rice! Ordered it on their website and it was ready within 15 min during lunch time. Only thing I would say is to add more pineapples, but service was quick and friendly and they were bringing it out as soon as I got there. The vibe was not a friendly vibe. We came in and got seated. The waitress took our order and we waited 40 minutes to get it. People came in after us, got their meal, and left. I asked the waitress what happened to our food. She said they lost our ticket. She did not apologize for it. She avoided us after we got finally got our food. We had a hard time asking for condiments because no one would come near us. Finally, we got our condiments after 30 more minutes. The drunken noodles minced meat did not taste good. The noodles were not cut well. They were thick and long. We had to cut them on our own. The drunken noodles shrimp tasted spicy even though I said no to spicy. It tasted like chili sauce instead of soy sauce. I added the soy sauce and it tasted better The chive appetizer had no taste. It was just a soft puffy appetizer. We did not enjoy it. The Logan juice was good. The Thai iced tea with bubbles was not so sweet. I would not go back there because it felt like the workers and food was not pleasant. My friend recommended sriPraPhai in Woodside, but since we were staying in Garden City we decided to check this place out for dinner. I was surprised by how extensive the menu was. There were so many great looking options, the hardest part was narrowing down what we wanted to order: - Sauteed Stewed Pork Leg: The pork was very tender, and basically had the consistency of pulled pork. The sauce was kind of sweet and savory, with a slight hint of basil. The flavor was not as strong as some other Thai dishes, and I really enjoyed it because I haven't tried anything like it. It can be a bit salty on its own, but tastes great with some sticky rice or coconut rice! - Sauteed Chinese Watercress: My family likes ordering veggies when we go out to eat (need some kind of balance right?). I haven't had watercress in a while and it was really tasty. Not too oily or salty. - Roasted Duck Green Curry: The duck was also quite tender, and not tough like other places where I've tried duck. The curry wasn't very thick, and had a nice, subtle coconut flavor. I do wish there was more duck and other things in the curry. - Drunken Noodles: You can choose your protein, and we opted for beef. I've had better drunken noodles at other places, but it was pretty standard so can't complain. I think there are far more interesting items on the menu so I would probably pass on this next time. It was quite busy, but service was excellent. They took our orders quickly, food came out fast, and they did a fantastic job with water refills. There is a parking lot in the back but spots are quite limited and it's a relatively small/narrow lot. Some of the BEST Thai food I've had in a while!! SO many choices, I wish I lived closer so I could make my way through their AWESOME menu!! My sister and I came here for lunch after discovering that our first choice just up the road was closed on Mondays. We were seated quickly and given plenty of time to see what we'd have, since "one of everything" wasn't an option... We shared a papaya salad (delicious!!), fish cakes (yum!!) and split an entree of Jungle Curry. Fast service, PLENTY of food, and definitely something for everyone, including an EXTENSIVE veg/vegan menu section and over a dozen different dessert options, which we'll have to wait for next time to explore. Sunday brunch. Looking around the neighborhood for a new place to try. We drop into SriPraHai Thai Restaurant in Williston Park. Ambience: walking in, you notice that they went with a generic post modern decor that you see in countless other restaurants in Manhattan. Other than a few hanging pictures, there is nothing about the decor that would make you think you are in a Thai restaurant. Not really bad, but doesn't seem to go out of way to create any memorable atmosphere. Food: oh boy....where do I start? How about the 50 page menu? I appreciate variety, but when you expect me to speed read through a novel just to order? Thankfully, the menu is organized into sections like noodles, seafood, etc. We ordered: Spring rolls - bland and flavorless. Calamari - did these come out of the freezer section of Costco? BBQ Pork Tender - these were well marinated and flavorful. Tasted like Kalbi. Masamam Curry Beef - the potatoes and beef were cold inside, suggesting that this was probably cooked last night, refrigerated and re-heated. I told the waitress, who apologized and offered to make a new one. A few minutes later, they bring out the same dish, which was obviously re-heated to the point where the peanuts are mushy. Tsk, tsk. Eggplant with minced pork - well seasoned eggplant. A little too much minced pork though. Chan's Noodle Soup with Beef - noodles in the soup were served in 3 lumps, as in 3 lumps of instant noodles that the chef couldn't be bothered to break apart and cook first (see pic). TL/DR: you get a lot of choices based on their 50 page menu, but quantity isn't the same as quality. read more

For a while used to be my favorite Thai restaurant. Went there yesterday and made my order, when the food arrived a dish was made with chicken instead of shrimp as I wanted. When I told the server he started arguing that it was my mistake and he kept pointing to his notebook ( written in Thai). To avoid ruining our day my wife interfered and ordered an additional dish with shrimp and insisted that I give full tip. Did that but I will never forget the rudeness and arrogance I was met with. After many years later, my sister and I came here on a Monday night for dinner. We were seated promptly and the servers were friendly and attentive. Restaurant is spacious and great for groups. And, their menu is huge! So huge that we both had trouble deciding what to order at first. Though, after coming across a photo of the curry rice noodles on the menu, I thought it looked delicious and decided to give it a try. You can also add meat to this dish (I opted for chicken). My sister ordered the Yellow Curry Rice Chicken, which also consists of potatoes and onions. We both really liked the food. The curry was super tasty! It's definitely a huge portion and I ended up taking some home to eat the next day. The noodles were soft and I loved the taste of the added peanuts. The spices were well-balanced and the dish even had some coconut notes. Would definitely order this again. My sister described her food as creamy and flavorful. The chicken was super tender as well. I had in mind to try the coconut ice cream for dessert, but the server explained to us that whichever desserts they had were inside their mini-fridge. We had to go over to the fridge and pick a dessert of our choice. Unfortunately they did not seem to have coconut ice cream in the fridge, though I was intrigued by their taro custard cake. Also note that their desserts are made at the Woodside location and not on the premises. They're stored in containers and labeled with the Woodside location. Super disappointed that this place my family used to frequent has gone so downhill. On the first visit back in a while, we had to wait 45 minutes for entrees. It was Mother's Day so I get that things are busy, but my family was completely ignored by the wait staff during that stretch of time, with no updates on the food or any acknowledgement until we asked about the food (repeatedly). One waitress tried to give us bowls of rice without any entrees and she promised the food was coming out - spoiler alert, it did not. The food only came right when we were literally getting up to leave, and the waitstaff offered no explanation or compensation besides "we're really busy." While we were waiting, my family also witnessed several other tables and takeout orders complaining about the ridiculous wait time and missing food. A person picking up their takeout shouldn't be waiting an additional 30 minutes at a restaurant for their food. It's a real shame, since the food here is usually great but not worth the poor service and long wait time. Definitely put a damper on Mother's Day festivities. read more

Please be sure to follow CDC guidelines in regards to COVID and please do not visit restaurants if you or someone in your party does not feel well. This restaurant offers indoor dining. There is temperature checking at the door and staff wears masks and gloves. I've been to the other locations in Queens and Brooklyn but this one was just much more expansive in terms of food. The menu has endless choices and includes a vegetarian section as well. The atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant is very relaxing and low-key. The staff was very attentive and helpful, and recommended some great desserts. There is a parking lot as well, making parking very easy. I had a Thai Iced Coffee to drink. I ordered the Fried Calamari and Chicken Curry Puff for appetizers, the Crispy Egg Noodles and Sautéed Crispy Pork Belly for entrées with Coconut Rice, and Tub-tim Grob and Coconut Milk Agar for dessert. Onto the food! I enjoy Thai Iced Coffee and it is my go-to drink. This coffee did not disappoint. It was strong but very rich and smooth. It was sweet and creamy and I finished it after 3 or 4 sips (gulps really). To me, it was a solid 8/10. As always, I got Crispy Calamari because I love calamari. This calamari was disappointing to me. It was very bland with no seasoning at all. The texture was decent and the tempura was very crunchy and stuck to the squid. The squid wasn't very chewy and was pretty consistent and firm. But there was just no flavor at all. There was chili sauce on the side for dipping, which didn't offer much taste. The serving portion was decent but it wasn't worth it in my opinion. Overall, it was a 4/10. Next was the Chicken Curry Puff. This was a lot better and I enjoyed it. It came with 4 pieces, which was a decent size for the price. The puff was very flaky and you could taste the curry the moment you bite into it. The puff wasn't oily, which was good. Inside was flavorful and you could really taste the potatoes, which made it a heavier and more filling appetizer in my opinion. It came with cucumber sauce for dipping. To me, this was a 7/10. The Crispy Egg Noodles was amazing! It was a very good portion and came with chicken, shrimp, bamboo shoots, and mushrooms in a Thai-styled gravy. The noodles were crunchy and were perfect for the broth. The broth itself was flavorful and rich, and had a great consistency. It was thick but not so thick where I could not dip my noodles. All in all, this was a solid 9/10 for me. The Sautéed Crispy Pork Belly was just as delicious as the Crispy Egg Noodles. It was prepared with chili, garlic, and basil leaves and was just full of flavor. This was a really crispy dish with well marinated and tender meat. It was a generous portion and the presentation was really nice as the vegetables added a burst of color. The pork fat was also fried and it wasn't too bad, although I avoided the fat when I could. The chili added the perfect amount of spiciness too. This was a 9/10 in my opinion. I ordered Coconut Rice on the side. It was slightly sweet with good texture (not too mushy) and was very aromatic. The coconut flavoring paired with the Sautéed Crispy Pork Belly really enhanced the flavors. For me, it was an 8/10. For dessert, I had the Tub-tim Grob, which was water chestnut and jackfruit in coconut milk served with ice. The water chestnuts are coated in jelly and there are pieces of agar in the milk. Overall, it was a great dessert and it is one of my go-to Thai desserts. It's not overpoweringly sweet and the milk adds a nice rich and creamy aspect to the dessert. The jackfruit was sweet and wasn't limp and mushy, which usually ruins the dish for me. To me, it was a 9/10. Last but not least was the Coconut Milk Agar, which was another dessert. This is made with coconut milk jelly, coconut jelly, and coffee flavoring. Like the Tub-tim Grob, this wasn't very sweet and had a nice creamy taste. It is made from agar and was just the perfect blend of sweet, creamy, and neutral, if that makes sense. Overall, it was a very flavorful and delicious dessert that is a 9/10. This was such a great restaurant with a very relaxed atmosphere and excellent service. It's a wonderful place for a gathering with friends or family, a cute date night, or even a quick bite. Best pad thai on all of Long Island - hands down. Glad this go-to restaurant survived the pandemic, as I haven't been back until now, since before COVID began. The pad thai noodles are cooked perfectly, super moist and good amounts of chicken, tofu, bean sprouts, peanut toppings, etc. Service was friendly. Also recommend their appetizers, and Thai iced tea with boba. Great to try the curry puffs and drinks! Tip: it is first come first serve, but quite a popular place so be prepared to wait a few minutes if you come on a Saturday evening for dinner! read more

Whenever we wanted Thai food, we get it from Sripraphai at Woodside. We would always order $100+ worth of food and even if it's far, we would still get the food because that's how much we love the flavors from here. However, on yesterday, mom was craving Thai food again even tho we had just ordered 5 days ago! So we ended up ordering just a few food items she wanted. Drunken noodle with beef, we got 3 pieces of beef at best. Crispy pork belly with basil was the worst because what we got was soggy fat skin that you can't even chew. For $14.50, I would expect some pork with belly fat but nope, we got a container full of fat unchewable skin. Ended up throwing out the whole container.
