I'm not a Chinese food kinda guy but this place had the best Chinese I've had in a long time.

I've been ordering here for a few years now. And this is the first time I'm posting a review because as soon as we open up our orders, we just start eating! This time I took the time to take pictures first before inhaling our food! Lol I love the flavors of the food. They use enough seasonings to bring out the flavors of the meats & veggies. The ingredients are always fresh and perfect cooked! My favorites are chicken with broccoli, chicken with mixed veggies, beef lo mein, cheese wontons, egg roll and chicken & beef teriyaki. They are always on time either with delivery or pick up. The lady at the counter is always so pleasant and pays close attention to the special notes. I asked for extra duck sauce and she gave me ten! The place is also clean and not noisy. They have a few tables for people to dine in. I love this place! read more

Hing Hing Kitchen has been closed during Covid-19 but just recently reopened! I've been going to Hing Hing Kitchen for a few years now, and had always found the food to be pretty good. (No way is the food as good as the "real" Chinese food in Flushing but for Long Island, it was always decent). However, on this visit, the food was just ok. I found this peculiar since their food had always been consistently good. Well, thanks to fellow Yelp Elite Joel H., Mystery solved: new owners have taken over! Customer service wasn't as good either. I was charged full price for my "complimentary" soup, and the lady at the register never gave me back my change! The change was only about 80 cents, so I let it go. I didn't realize they had also charged me for the free soup until I got home. I'll chalk this up to growing pains, but I really hope they improve! Tonight's dinner: - Hot n Sour Soup: good - Eggrolls: these were actually pretty good, although a little skimpy on filling. - BBQ Spareribs (w.bone): tasty but the entire large order was mostly bones and not very meaty. - Chicken w.eggplant in garlic sauce: this dish was just ok. The eggplant was extremely bland. I think this was due to the pieces being way too big and chunky. In the past, this dish was fantastic; not so much now. I'll probably be back at some point, and will adjust this review accordingly. I really hope they get it together. read more

A Chinese takeout where I really feel like I have specialized service. Well cooked and not over spiced or saucy food. Shrimps with a bit of "snap" tender beef and chicken make their dishes complete. read more

They have no clue what THAI curry is! How?? Chinese food is mediocre at best.. dumplings had no pork just massive breading, chicken w broccoli garlic sauce was weird texture. Long Island Chinese food restaurants used to pride themselves in their food. These people seemed burned out. Sad. Will never order from here again read more

I've been a couple times now and I always do take out. They are quick and even let you "customize" to make it your way. Every time I've come here I feel like I'm entering a home. It looks like it's a family run business with babies playing on the floor which adds to the awesomeness of the place. I've gotten a few different dishes from here and they've all been really good. They rlly pack it in the Togo containers. They are also open pretty late so after a late day at work I can always count on them to feed me when my wife doesn't want to :))) thanks everyone. Nothing we ordered was to our liking. The beef fried rice was heavy with oil and flavorless. They forgot my egg roll. The "free" general tso's was nothing to write home about and the sesame chicken was way too sweet. read more

First time ordering and was not impressed. Ordered their double cooked pork and got something totally different. What came was a very wet and soggy shredded pork with mixed vegetables. Called them and their response is that's how they make it.. If you google search double cooked pork you won't find one photo remotely close to what I got. Even on their own website they have it listed as "sliced pork." Slices are not slivers of shredded pork. But instead of doing right by their customer they will just say they make it differently and contradict their own menu. Besides the fact that I got something that's definitely not double cooked pork, the taste was ok. Sauce was on the sweeter side. Even though this dish is suppose to be savory and spicy.. Hot and sour soup is decent. Bit bland but has a lot of substance. Crab Rangoon/cheese wontons look like atrocious fried tortilla chips. The ugliest I've ever seen but they taste fine. My cat liked it. I honestly feel if a take out place cannot deliver on decent double cooked pork, the place is subpar. This is coming from a Chinese person that already lowered expectations because it's a take out place in an non Asian prominent area. read more

Food is always delicious and they always makes the food fresh. It's close by my work place so this is always my preferences when it comes to Chinese, Especially the prices they have you can't even complain about it. They have good food and perfect prices for them! Their service to make food is also pretty fast. They don't leave you hanging around. Always fast and I can order online. The best part is that they actually cook the broccoli when I order beef with broccoli. I know, crazy right? You would be surprised how many places just throw the broccoli in raw. read more

I basically go out of my way to stop here when I'm looking to get chinese food, even though I live right by another chinese food place. love this place. lunch specials are 6.00 for steamed chicken with mixed veggies. they take out what i don'[t like and even though its steamed its so flavorful!! the brown sauce is delicious. near my job, so if it's nice i'll take the mile walk to pick up my food. love love love this place. read more

I went cause of the great reviews but I don't know if it was because it was late and they didn't care but the food was gross. Boneless ribs were salty and the sesame chicken was tasteless. Plus I got rice when I asked for lo mein and the rice was horrifying. read more
