Completely botched my delivery order 14010 on 3/11/26 with $25/90 on the order missing. An employee admitted to having what was missing at the store but refused to deliver it. Uber eats which fulfills the official website orders blames Sardis, Sardis blames Uber eats, neither party refunds. My card shows PX* BIKE DOG BREWERY as the charge unaffiliated with both entities. The "manager" hangs up on me, clearly under the age of 30-- then on a call back says I cussed. 100% never happened, he used that as an excuse to hang up, twice (worked retail, restaurants, and customer service most my life-- I'm not dumb enough to do it). Refused to get me to anyone else above him or as a reference. Avoid this absolute travesty rip off of a location, and be sure to place a direct charge back with your card if they screw up as nobody here will give you a shred of service or dignity. read more

Sardi's has a few locations around the area. This one is a tiny takeout spot in a strip mall near the main Olney area. Chicken only orders are quickly available at the counter with the usual range of sides. My go-to is the fried plantains along with the Peruvian fried rice. I've been a fan of the Sardi's chain since first trying it many years ago! My go to is the Beltsville location. Not sure how long this one has been here. Since I was nearby and couldn't think of something for dinner, I stopped in. I got the regular half chicken with two sides. The place is takeout only - no dining in. They weren't generous with the sides like I'm used to, and the chicken was just ok. The employees were nice but I probably won't return this location. The prices have gone up alot (like everywhere else) so can't say it's really worth it anymore. read more

This place is solid and I would return! My only complaint is that the restaurant is one large seating area opem to the bar, and it was very loud at the time we went (weekend dinner). I had the half chicken meal with creamed spinach and chicken fried rice. Is get that chicken again and again it was so good! I also really enjoyed the spinach, which was super creamy and flavorful, but I would skip the fried rice next time (light on flavor). Had lunch with a friend one weekend (afternoon). The spot has 2 entrances - the left you can grab chicken to go with all the fixings; the right is Sardi's TapHouse. We were on the right. I can't remember what my friend had even though I took some pictures, but it was sizzling with steam, and they had fixings all in a bowl to make tacos. The fixings included rice, tomato, guacamole, cheese, lettuce and beans - huge portions. The tacos were in its own covered dish (warm). I had the Gyro Sandwich with lamb (chicken is an option too) and based on menu, it is topped with lettuce, diced tomatoes, onions (I had them remove this), tzatziki sauce (they put this on the side for me) and crumbled feta cheese on a grilled pita. I am fan of lamb Gyro's, so I enjoyed this dish and I loved the chips that came with it. My friend enjoyed their dish as well and even had extras to take home. I've always heard of Sardi's but never have it much thought. I have to safe, their chicken is just full of flavor. They're known for their chicken so I had to get it. It was very moist and flavorful. I'd go back for the chicken any day. The restaurant itself has a full bar and TVs. They are serving things on plastic for covid and their menus are paper disposable. There isn't much of an ambiance in the place, just your standard sports bar feel. It's not necessarily cozy. But for a family, it's a good place to visit. There is also a to go area where you can order food to go or picking up take out orders. That side always seems to be busy. There were a lot of options on the menu, even if you aren't into the Peruvian food style. They are known for their Peruvian chicken but that's not exclusively what they sell. I do recommend that, and 1/4 chicken is enough for one person. I had their house salad with spicy vinaigrette that Sardi's makes. I'm usually not a fan of this kind of dressing but it was actually very delicious. I called ahead and they do not take reservations. Even then, took him awhile to come back to take our order. One friend ordered the steak quesadilla. It arrived at the table first. She actually enjoyed it. But she did ask for it to be just the steak and the cheese. Nothing else. Another friend ordered the cheeseburger. He's had it before, so he knew it was a sure thing. Another ordered the grilled ham and cheese. Another had before so another sure thing. Housemade chips are supposed to come with dipping sauce. We had to ask for it along with ketchup. I opted for the Cubano. A bit greasy with it oozing out on my hands. So a messy sandwich. A bit too salty. Think it was more that the ham was salty than the pulled pork. Tasty. But I'd skip this one. Didn't hear anything from them 10 days after my email so I emailed back. They finally got back to me and asked for original receipt , I don't hold on to receipts for several weeks....so I offered a screenshot of the purchase from my bank card. That was 01/24/22. Not going back and will give my business to the non chain Peruvian chicken places in the area. This rating is primarily for the staff, and specifically the manager on duty. Initially, I ordered a whole chicken and the menu seems to indicate it comes with 2 regular sides and you can add 2 large sides for more money. OK, cool. I get to the register and the total is almost double than the menu price. The manager said, oh, the price on the menu is just the price for the chicken, it doesn't come with any sides (the section of the menu says it comes with 2 regular sides). The manager points out that's only for items with this small bowl icon. Ok, cool, menu needs better design, not the manager's fault. I said the menu is deceiving. His response, 'OK.' Being in customer service and retail before, I would have at least expected an acknowledgement like, 'I'm sorry, it is confusing, the menu isn't the best at showing this' or something to that effect. Nope, just an 'OK.' Now for the fun part. I had a gift card that I checked the balance of before going in. I use it to pay for the meal expecting to pay a couple bucks for the difference. The cashier says there's no balance. I mentioned I checked it before coming in. Cashier responds with, it's 0. Luckily I still had the webpage up on my phone and showed the balance. She calls the manager over to help. The manager runs the card, runs 0 again. I show him the webpage. He clicks on the link which shows the transaction history. It shows a transaction for a minute earlier deducting the balance. He tries to convince me a few times it's a 0 balance or maybe it wasn't activated. I was like, I'm not sure what to say, the transaction history clearly shows the cashier just ran the balance with the date and time of a minute ago. The manager goes into the back for a few minutes and comes back out and applies a credit for the amount. No apology no acknowledgment or mention of the issue. I almost got the sense the manager didn't want to be wrong. This whole interaction was a huge turn-off and the main reason I will not go back to Sardis. Recommend Sardis better train their staff to be customer facing, they're a big enough regional chain. read more

I adore Sardi's and have been to probably half a dozen locations around Maryland. This location did not disappoint! It is one of THE BEST places to go if you're looking for something different from a bunless burger or salad bowl while on keto. For the record, I ordered carry-out, so I don't have any experience with the tavern/pub side - though I'm sure I'll go with my coworkers some day! As usual with my Sardi's experiences, the chicken was cooked to perfection (I got a half chicken), with a delightfully seasoned semi-crispy skin. The brussels sprouts were slightly roasted and the texture and flavors were a delight. And that creamed spinach, y'all? Move over Boston Market, I think I've got a new favorite in town! Perfect place to pop in and pick up. The staff are attentive and quick. Just be sure that you pop in the correct door (there are 2 of them, and one leads right into the carry-out counter and the other goes into the bar). You can get to either side from either entrance, of course, but you feel like an idjit going in the wrong side. Ever had Peruvian food? It is hands down amazing. Ah-mazing. The sauces and marinades make Peruvian food stand out and it can be spicy or not (up to you and which sauces you use!) Sardis has two separate entrances because one entrance leads to the area to order take out while the other is a sit down restaurant and beer house. The food is amazing because Sardi's uses authentic Peruvian cooking styles, marinades, and sauces to bring authentic Peruvian foods to life. My family is Peruvian and it all tastes just like what I get in Lima! I've had the pollo a la brasa, fried yuca, plátanos, lomo saltado, Peruvian fajitas, and more. It's all delicious. I'd definitely recommend the pisco sour as well as a cocktail to bring your meal together. So good! The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because the waiters have taken a while to get back to us when seated at a table on multiple occasions but it wasn't terrible because you get chips and Peruvian salsa (ají) to tide you over. read more

Stopped in at Sardis while we were in Olney. Knowing the Chain we expected to experience the usual Peruvian Specialties that they are known all over the DC area for. This particular location however seems to have been given a makeover. The Restaurant offers American Sandwiches and Pub Food in Addition to the Pollo ala Brasa. We started off with some wonderful Empanadas they were Crispy and Delicious. And the Presentation was spot on. We also had some Wings was hat would have benefited from the Charbroiled Rottisiere . Sadly they leaned more to the Pub Side and were very ordinary at best. We then ordered entrees that included Peruvian Fajitas, Souvlaki and Pollo ala Brassa. Everything was great the entrees were tasty and the sides were plentiful. Albeit the Black Beans were a little dry. Desserts were in short supply and service was friendly but slow........! My parents were in town for the holidays so I wanted to take them out to a good dinner. Normally, Sardi's is one of my go to spots, so we went here. There weren't many people dining in so there were lots of seating options. The other 5 people at my table received their food and I was told mine would be out in 3 minutes. Thirty minutes passed, everyone at my table finished eating so I asked about my food. I was told they were working on pickups orders and mine would be out soon and that a manager would be over to talk to me.. During the 30 minutes, one other table was served and 30 takeout orders come from the kitchen. Finally, 45 minutes after my table finished eating, my food arrived. The pork chop was razor thin, dry and completely burnt- most likely it was finished 45 minutes earlier and left out under the heat lamp. My steak was the same thickness as a single steak-um. My dad ordered surf and turf. The "sirloin" was a meat skear. Much, much later, the manager finally showed up at the table and said she was discounting us for the mess up. $12. That was it. Less than half the cost of my meal while I watched my family eat and they patently waited for me to shove down my meal. After eating here twice a month for years, I don't envision myself going here for a long time. I hope the takeout orders were good because they ignored the diners to get them out quickly. read more
