A nice little coffee shop for quiet meeting or 'in-between' work. Enjoyed a nice Chai tea and an escape from the chaos of my day

Pastrami sandwich on sourdough bread

Have not been here in probably 3-4 years. It was always just an OK sandwich place to me. I decided to give them another try and was glad I did. They have definitely expanded the menu and ordering is just as it was before. Grab a sheet in pick your meat, bread, veggies, spread and cheese. I went with a pastrami, with mustard, lettuce, tomato and cucumber with provolone cheese on sourdough bread. First of all, the ingredients were all very fresh. From the bread to the crispy fresh vegetables. I paired the sandwich with a broccoli cheese soup that was very tasty as well. With a fountain drink, the combination entitled me to a free small side of potato salad. Pleasant surprise that this place has gone way up in quality of its sandwich offerings. Thanks for a great meal I'll be back again soon.

Now this is a chicken salad sandwich! Excellent taste and texture, not cubed chicken, made the classic way. Good job.

I got off work and stopped by here to retrieve a few packages that was delivered there. Not knowing that this establishment makes Amazing Phat Sandwiches and delicious soups... My husband and I truly enjoyed our food. We are definitely going back and recommend this spot for sure !

After being consistent customers of Sara's Too for the last few years, we've had enough. The last 5 times the sandwiches and wraps we've ordered have left A LOT to be desired. The sandwiches are always slapped together, in a way that the filling almost definitely will come shooting out of the side on the first bite. This time, we ordered a French dip and the sandwich was completely cold, the mushrooms are clearly straight out of the can, and the bread was SOGGY. We are extremely dissappointed and don't even want to go back to have it corrected because it's not just the way it was made but it's clearly a quality issue as well.

This was my first time here and I had a happy experience. The parking is spacious. The counter for coffee and sandwiches is bright. The young lady is very friendly and helpful. The sitting area is spacious and clean just like their bathrooms, well at least the men's room. I ordered a spinach wrap chicken bacon ranch and oh boy it was tasty. And, they have a drive thru if you're in a hurry and on the go.

Ok food. Terrible menu / ordering process. Like filling out a job application. Staff seem bored and look like they just rolled out of bed.

The seasonal ginger bread chia tea from the coffee shop is like Christmas in your mouth. The turkey sandwich is like thanksgiving with cranberry sauce and pecans. The sweet potato burban cupcake was actually to die for. The cake was moist with a carm filling of pecans and bourbon topped with a light cream cheese frosting. The sausage was good though, and a bit salty, which might have balanced the seasoning in this item but the chunks were too few and big to be balanced. - messy egg salad sandwich: a lot of dill, heavy on the pickled flavor, and good red onion crunch. This was just ok. It looked better than it tasted, unless you're a fan of dill. Mainly got this sandwich to try their bread but the bread was an afterthought. - maple rhubarb muffin: hard pass. Can't taste the rhubarb and barely any maple. The bottom also was more burnt than anything. It seems they may have over mixed their batter, muffin didn't have a tender crumb.

The family that owns and operates this gem is Greek and they are not only amazing cooks, but they care about their community!! I have been there eating several times this winter and obviously homeless people would come to the door and be given water, hot soup, half a sandwich, etc. that just made me love this place more. Now to the food. First of all I had the meatball sub which was not only delicious but super filling. The meat was very well seasoned, and the fresh basil just made the marinara pop even more, add the freshly shaved Parmesan cheese and you've got something special. The homemade bread puts this thing into overdrive! Crispy on the outside, light, delicate but not falling apart and heavy enough to hold together all that deliciousness without being filling like you just ate a large pizza. Now to the ridiculous tomato basil soup. I love the clam chowder but the tomato basil is my favorite. Savory, full of flavor, smooth, creamy and not greasy. This in my opinion is the perfect pairing to the meatball sub. You're welcome! The customer service here is amazing too just like the owners and the food. You will always be greeted by a smiling face, and treated like family. You will not regret stopping here. I've eaten the Meatball sub, The Philly, the lasagna and The Gyro ( lamb and chicken) all have been 10 out of 10. The ambiance is like a neighborhood dinner with a small dining room. You will love it!

I ordered the BLT and had the chicken lemon soup The soup was very lemony and salty but I ate the whole bowl it was pretty good. Nice quaint family run local restaurant. I would try the Alfredo next time assuming they make the sauce in house?

Both are packed with flavor. Whether ordering in or ordering to go, keep in mind it takes quite a while--almost 10 to 15 mins--for the staff to make your sandwich, so I wouldn't recommend that you stop here in you're in a hurry because you're not going to get it out fast. In this case, call ahead about 30 mins or so if you're picking up. The prices are a little high, but it's worth the price for the quality of the food you're getting, which I can't say for most restaurants in the present era (2020s for those that are reading this in the 2030s and 2040s, if this platform still exists then lol!) Either way, the quality is HIGH and the flavor factor? HIGH! The Classic Piadina is very fresh tasting and comes with greens. It only comes in one size, so it's a little small for me. Still delicious! The Nonni is a pretty large sandwich, if you're getting the full sandwich. The onions combine with the meat enhances the flavors. The building that Originale is in presents itself as a very quaint and relaxed lunch spot with bright colors and large windows. It's a place you can go to sit and talk with friends. I look forward to trying more of their sandwiches.

I went with the "Favorito," and let's just say, it instantly earned its name. The prosciutto cotto was pure-savory-bliss-melt-in-your-mouth good. And the focaccia- fresh, herby, and perfectly balanced in thickness. It hugged the fillings just right without stealing the show. Also, the tomatoes- I did not expect them to be so buttery and delicious. I may have paused mid-bite to appreciate them. Yes, I'm that person. As a die-hard cheese lover, the little bonus cube of cheese on the side felt like a tiny gift--like the sandwich was giving me a wink and saying, "Hey, I see you." Originale, I'll be back. I was right, as I walked in they sold the very last thing of what I wanted. But gosh am I glad- it forced me to try something new. I didnt take a picture because it was so cold out and my hands were frozen, but it was a beautiful, elongated bakery treat. It had lovely purple Ube cream and touch of oreo crumbs on top, the base was essential much like a flat cruller, but if higher quality. It was sensational! I bought my husband something that looked lower carb that had coffee cream that also enjoyed. I got my husband custom cold jasmine sugar free tea, and I got a frosty honeydew melon drink. It was a little spendy, but its nice to have a treat one on a while.

It's like a croissant baked in a waffle form, but a bit denser than a regular croissant. What really made it special was the Ube cream -- a light, buttery frosting that wasn't too sweet. Easily a 10/10 for me. I also ordered the Ube Cruffin, which had that same croissant-like texture in a muffin shape. The inside had a light cream filling, and the top was covered with the same Ube cream. It was good, but not quite as amazing as the Croffle -- 7/10. The Ham Banh Mi was tasty and filling (6/10), and the Boba Milk Tea was decent too (6/10). Oh and I got to taste their smoked salmon chowder that my friend ordered. Very good flavor, body, and richness (8/10). Everything I had was good but nothing that was as memorable as the Ube Croffle, but it wasn't cheap -- I spent a total $32 for a sandwich, drink and 2 pastries. Then again, prices in Alaska tend to be higher in general. Overall, even though I've only been once, I'd definitely come back for that Ube Croffle -- it was the real highlight!
