Really good. We shared a gyro platter with lamb/beef gyro meet, rice, pita, and tzatziki sauce and each got a Greek salad. Crisp, yummy salad. Meet grilled in chunks. Rice was long grain and very nice. Tzatziki had a spice with an unexpected but pleasant zing to it. Pita were cut into small pieces, which I didn't really like. But it was served warm and was fine. I love Santorini. I have been before COVID and it was delicious and I was so happy to learn the garlic chicken (shish tawook) is just as delicious as it was before, and as I remember it in Lebanon. I went with colleagues who weren't familiar with Lebanese/Middle Eastern/Greek (I know they are different but they get lumped together) and they also enjoyed their food. This is a great option when dining with people that have food restrictions as they have something for everyone (grilled meat, vegetarian, vegan, gluten free). I usually eat at Santorini weekly, except for last week. Strangely, my card had an unauthorized charge from this restaurant yesterday and I called immediately to address the issue. I was told I had to speak to the manager. She still hasn't contacted me even though I've left several messages. I was partially reimbursed for the unauthorized charge. The employees said their system was having issues and that multiple people had been charged without their authorization. My question is, how does this happen?! And is this going to keep on happening? I'll update this if they fix the issue. In the meantime, please lookout for unauthorized charges from Santorini! Update 3/28: I see that the owner replied, but the issue was never resolved. What's the point of replying if you're not actually going to resolve the issue? The full amount of the unauthorized charge was never refunded. read more

The food here is phenomenal. I'm totally in love with their dolmas as a starter, a great introduction appetizer before your main dish. My go to is the Lamb kabob platter. The meat is tender and perfectly cooked between medium rare to medium. Juicy and spiced well. I always upgrade my salad to the Greek salad which consist of tomatoes, onions, olives, cucumbers and feta cheese. Rice has a hint of cinnamon and other spices, which compliments the meat. Everything about the platter is delicious. I would recommend this restaurant to any Mediterranean food lovers. The gyros are to die for as well, pita always made fresh, warm and soft. Santorini will satisfy your craving for something different in this town of Las Cruces. read more

One of my favorite restaurants in Cruces!! I always get the same thing here - the mini platter of chicken gyro. It comes with marinated chicken strips, rice, pita bread, a garlicky white sauce, and a salad. If I finish the entire plate, it leaves me full for a good 6 hours - and that's the mini size! The chicken has such a good flavor, and the white sauce is what keeps me coming back. I don't know what they put in that, but I could eat a bowl of that with pita bread lol... The only reason I'm knocking a star down is because I'm not the hugest fan of their rice. I love rice, but the rice here is always a little mushy and has an.... almost cinnamon like flavor to it? It doesn't personally fit my palette. I've gotten the falafel once, and they're different from falafels at other restaurants I've had. They have more sesame and are fluffier and a little more oily. I honestly like it, but I'm not quite sure it's what a typical falafel is because it's a whole different texture in that it's really fluffy. It isn't bad! Just different. If I didn't like the chicken gyro mini platter so much, I'd probably be getting that all the time :) read more

I really enjoyed the food at Santorini but honestly had a very strange interaction with the waitress. I wanted hummus with extra veggies instead of Pita. I was told that was not allowed and no exception, period. The waitress must have been yelled at in the past because her demeanor was pretty hard towards me even though I didn't argue or become upset. It's strange you would refuse extra veggies when almost everything else on the menu you can. Very strange but again food is good, just weird rules about what you can and can't order. read more

The food is amazing. I always order the 12 oz. of Lebanese Mashouwi and it's authentic as it gets. It reminds me of the food I had in the Middle East. The chefs definitely know how to throw down. We have been going to this restaurant for seven years and have always had great service until today. We ordered a Chicken Gyros platter and drove 20 minutes one way to pick it up. We did not look at it when we picked it up because we trusted them. We got home only to find that they gave us the Lamb Gyros platter instead. We called them, and the lady who took our order argued on the phone, saying the mistake was mine. She wouldn't allow us to talk to a manager or the owner, but she said the owner was talking to her. What kind of employee disagrees with a customer and does not try to help? We went to this restaurant and spent $150 - $200 a week; she didn't care if we ever returned. So guess what? Filling and great tasting. I'm not a huge hummus fan, my wife is more so, but to me this was the best hummus I have EVER had. We even got some to go for our lunch the following day since we are on a long road trip. Mine also came with a salad, I upgraded to the Greek salad and it was worth it. Today I paid another visit to Santorini restaurant, a restaurant serving Greek and Lebanese cuisine. It is an open, bright, clean, pleasant place to dine on Mediterranean food. I have always found the service to be very good and today was no exception. Janis did a fine job. After ordering their Lebanese Mashouwi plate a little side salad was brought to the table within a couple minutes. This salad was fresh and crisp, but the dressing was mostly oil with little or no vinegar for added tang. I would rate the little salad a "B-." The rice was ok...but nothing special one way or the other. The 12 ounces of meat however were another story: the three meats were all delicious. The chicken taouk on a skewer was superbly flavored and had a nice char from the grill. The beef kafta was very flavorful...uniquely so. The lamb kabob was equally delicious. Rate the three meats between a "B+" and an "A-" meaning very good to excellent. The hummus was top notch and served with the pita triangles was most enjoyable. All in all, this was a filling and very enjoyable experience well worth the $20.00 price tag. I left the restaurant a very happy camper. Rate the dining experience this day at Santorini FOUR-AND-A-HALF STARS...meaning between very good and exceptional. read more

The food here is truly amazing. Santorini is located in a strip mall across from the college and for years restaurants have come and gone, but Santorini has remained and continued to provide the amazing food. Something about some good Lebanese and Greek food just makes me feel meet. It's like Soul food for a hippy. I am rather fond of just ordering from here more than say a pizza from a box chain. Just wanted to give Santorini another 5 star review. I was fortunate enough to dine there on a day when they were offering ground lamb with their hummus. So, the hummus is already the best in town and now they are offering it with ground lamb (when available). It takes the dish to a whole other level! I couldn't resist and also ordered the french fries sandwich with the garlic cream... trust me it's amazing. Just make sure that you have breath mints handy if you plan on being in close proximity to others. As always, the service staff was prompt and friendly.
