I'll be back and I recommend it highly. I was part of a group of four, each ordered something different and we shared a bit. I ordered the Doner Kebab Plate and it was excellent. Got a bite of two other diners, one was lamb 'something', the other had a sirloin and ground beef kebob, both were tender and tasty. I'm not 'foodie' or super taster but this was good food at a reasonable price. We each had a different desert, three different ice creams and I had a chocolate 'whatever' pyramid. It was too rich, I needed a glass of milk to mellow out the taste. Had one spoon full of each of the ice creams, they're creamy, mild and tasty. Guy Fiery loves this place and I have to admit I do as well. This is a great Persian restaurant that offers French-Persian Mediterranean food with an incredible charcoal grill. They offer by far the most tender and delicious beef and chicken koobideh in town. Love their Sultani and Kebabs as well. They also have traditional perisian dishes like torshi which may be an acquire taste as it is bitter with different pigglies. Their zeresh rice with barbaries and safran is delicious. The atmosphere is casual low key with great services. The owner is always there making sure that customers are happy. Their catering business is also busy and supports the cash-flow of this business. Ask for some Tadik which is a crispy rice cooked from the bottom of your cooking pot. Overall the place offers consistent solid food and is a favorite of many El Pasoans. Another great characteristic of Tasty Kebab is the fact that they are open on Sunday until 7pm! As an ex employee, Owners mother and son treat staff awful. Yelling and putting down employees in front of costumers. Food is over priced and outdated...I had 4 customers come to my rescue and scolded the son how dare u treat her like that in front of us they left and he laughed. I don't recommend supporting these garbage ppl. There's way more drama but I will let God handle their karma . I pray they see their flaws and I hope nobody supports this horrible establishment. Great tasting food and pleasant service. Homemade bread to serve with Feta cheese before the main dish. I ordered the bone in Cornish chicken known as traditional Persian Joojeh-kabob plus a Beef Koobideh extra skewer. All was very nicely prepared and tasted. I also chose 1/2 basmati rice and 1/2 salad. Great use of Shirazi salad on top of the greens and serving as the primary dressing taste. I will sure be back in my next visit to El Paseo TX. read more

We were craving Mediterranean food, and let me tell you, this hit the spot!! We started with the hummus, which was so amazing! Possibly the best I've ever had. The hint of heat in the dried chilies sprinkled on top, the fresh olive oil and fresh herbs. Yum! And the homemade pita... mmm My husband ordered the Soltani Plate and I got the Doner Kebap Plate- and I opted for half grilled veggies, which I highly recommend. Every bite of my meal was perfection! We ate way too much- took home lots of leftovers and ordered the baklava to go. You must get the baklava if you come here, it is the best! My wife and I loved this place. Well portioned, hot, and fresh food. I was in Afghanistan for a year and fell completely in love with the local flavors. This had all the warm spices / seasonings, beautiful floral long grain basmati rice, fire grilled sides, palate cleansing creamy yogurt sauces, lavash / flat bread, and Kabobs. Good job. We had a wonderful lunch here. I had the eggplant dip which was great. Additionally, I had the salmon dinner. The salmon was cooked perfectly. The rice and salad was a good accompaniment. They brought out flatbread with feta cheese with fresh mint, fresh parsley and fresh cilantro and onions.We ordered the Donner and lambon a flat bread red and green cabbage and red onions with their sauce which had yogurt, chili and another ingredient. Then aside of yogurt and cucumber and dill and other spice and the fries were perfect. The restaurant has beautiful paintings ( hand or stenciled artwork on walls and doorways! The music is great! I had the beef kafta with rice, husband had lamb shank with garlic rice, MIL had chicken kafta sandwich, daughter had chicken, and we all shared their hummus! -My dish was delicious, I ordered it with a side of the yogurt sauce which I love both on the meat and the rice. - husbands was a large shank and a big plate of rice with tons of flavor and an amazing aroma. While eating the owner suggested pouring the shank and the juices over the rice and promised he would love it even more. She was right, my husband hadn't thought of that and was happy she suggested it. -daughters chicken kafta was very well seasoned and she loved the rice. The hummus honestly was soooo good and so fresh along with the delicious lavash and cheese that is served with it. Can't wait to come back to visit so we can go here again. Had a chance to speak with the owner just to see how business is going with Covid and she said some days are slow and others are really busy in spurts. We were excited to see a Persian restaurant option, and our brother-in-law had heard good things about Tasty Kabob but had not yet tried it. We came here about a half hour before closing. The server was very friendly and patient. We started with hot tea and asked about the herb-feta-flatbread which I had seen a picture of but was not on the menu. The server said he would bring it out free for us! The bread was warm, accompanied by feta, parsley, and radishes. For my meal I ordered khoresht gheymeh and zeresk rice, my favorites at Kasra in Houston. The khoresht gheymeh is a beef stew with yellow split peas and grilled eggplant, made with dried limes and topped with crispy potatoes (in this case, fries). The zeresk rice is basmati rice with saffron and barberries, which are tart and sweet like sour cherries. Eric R. ordered the lamb shank with basmati-saffron rice. I tasted his dish and it was yummy, lamb in a tomato stew. My beef was so tender it fell apart on my fork and melted in my mouth. I loved the flavor of mine as it was just as I had anticipated when I think of this dish! We were able to get one free hot tea refill, which we enjoyed after we demolished our dishes. I took most of my rice to go as the portion is very generous. I would definitely come back to try something else! This is a great addition to El Paso. read more

Found authentic Persian cuisine in El Paso! They have an authentic shawarma spit to make Doner and gyros. Fresh made lavash and naan bread! We ordered a Soltani and it came with filet meat and beef khoobideh, rice, butter, bread, grilled tomatoes, and this amazing garlic red pepper sauce. We also got the chicken khoobideh plate and it came with a tabouli salad, rice, bread, tomatoes, and a creamy dill yogurt sauce that hubby then fashioned into a gyro. I am so glad to say that this place is still here. When Debbie and I came here back in 2017 it was fairly new and I didn't know if they would survive. Probably didn't hurt that Guy came here in 2019 with his TV show but the food is just as good as the first time. Food was ok but then again I grew up in Glendale area in California, where all sorts of mouth watering, life changing Mediterranean, Persian, Armenian food happens. So I have a very spoiled and high maintenance food palate. This place is very homey, mom and pop kind of feel. Although I did take out, I can already tell by how friendly and nice the people are that work here. Which honestly make up for the somewhat dry and (disappointing) Beef Koobideh. My husband got some koobideh and tenderloin combo and the tenderloin was tender and magical. I was used being provides with yogurt sauce and sadly there wasn't any. But the overall experience was ok because of the warmth and friendly attitude this people have. And I think that is probably what will make me come back. read more

This is a great new restaurant in El Paso. The rotisserie meat is amazing! It is used in their Turkish sandwiches and their Turkish- German kabobs...yes I had to ask about this since my European history studies ended with the Crusades! Apparently there was post war importation of the Turkish food into Germany, and according to the owner, you can find Turkish kabob places on street corners all over Germany. Well, the Germans know something about food because this is delicious! The owners gave me samples to try since this was my first visit. They are very friendly and eager to tell you about the food. I had the lamb shank with the white rice. The lamb was coming off the bone and the rice had saffron on the top in the middle of the plate. There was lots of juice in the separate dish with the lamb to pour over the rice- soooo good. read more
