However, this young lady who was a waitress came and sat down next to our table on her break and proceeded to stuff her face with potato chips, yak and flirt loudly with another male waiter who was still on duty and watch her phone so loudly that we actually had to get up and leave and move to another table, which she did not even notice. This is extremely rude and she had no situational awareness. Please be more aware of your guests and have your servers who are on break sit somewhere other than right next to paying customers blasting their phone and eating outside food until we actually have to get up and leave. ** 8/19/2026 : update for the owner... Lovely patio, first of all, and they allow dogs. We were seated but the hostess failed to inform the waitress so I had to flag her down. She was nice and attentive after that. Service was pretty slow--35 mins for 2 sandwiches--and they were served with little bags of doritos. The sandwiches were good but $46 for two normal-size sandwiches and little bags of chips, a $5 mimosa and a wine is a bit steep for us to return. read more

Just had lunch here to celebrate our nephews birthday. We arrived at 12:00pm. Service was a little slow. But let me tell you, the Pina coladas were phenomenal! 10/10 highly recommend. I had two! Unfortunately they wanted to sit outside. It was WAY too hot to be doing that. I was miserable. Inside sadly wasn't air conditioned well either. So prepare to sweat your pants off inside or outside. We popped in for a light lunch and we're very pleased with the service, ambiance, and quality of the food at Madelyn's. They started out with our drinks. I ordered a Bloody Mary and it was pretty good. Not over dressed, this Mary had a stalk of celery and a olive and lime for garnish. The real treat was the beverage. It was full bodies and spicy. Liz enjoyed her Blue Hawaiian. The kids were content with their 1L bottles of soda. The avocado toast, Liz ordered was full of avocado. They used red pepper flakes to give it a little kick. It was very good. The toast had a hint of garlic to it, maybe. The acai bowl that I had came with four toppings I went with all the fruit toppings. Strawberry, blueberry, banana, and coconut, but honey, and or something else was also available. I didn't want very much to eat, so I was happy that they had smaller dishes. The kids were fine with a pizza, and they had 10" pizzas. Noah actually finished the crusts, which he typically leaves. There was a a guitarist that played wonderful renditions of old rock classics or newer jams. It definitely set the mood - calm and relaxing. Our servers were very attentive and kept us in the loop as the pizza and toast came out slowly. First of all there was a very sketchy car in front with rust and dents which ruined the overall aesthetic appearance. Then, the hummus board was salty, the veggies were old and not fresh, and the food was served in very small portions which for the amount paid I surely expect way more, so dissatisfied. We decided to drive to Mesilla today and try Madelyn's for lunch. My wife had a Rueben and a cookie (chocolate chip) and I had a Meat Lovers calzone. The Rueben was very good, the calzone was also very good, but it had pepperoni and ham in it when the menu listed the ingredients as pepperoni and Italian sausage. My wife had a choice of chips or cookie with her Rueben. The chocolate chip cookie was great. Service was excellent. We had eaten at that location before (different name). Simple cute bakery with good prices, both indoor and outdoor seating. If the weather is nice sitting outside is a must, very pretty. The quiche was really good, a little peppery for my taste but still a great choice for breakfast. read more

Read the menu for my preferred adult beverage and it was listed as $5.00. I had 3 cocktails and to my surprise the cost of the drinks was $30. However there was a box towards the bottom of the menu the manager pointed out and which I didn't read that increased the price of the drinks by $3-5 depending on what you ordered (tonic water or club soda). I found their menu to be misleading. I've never been to a restaurant that indicates a given price and surprises the customer with add ons when presented with the bill. Why not show the price on the menu or at least have the waiter inform you of the true cost? 2nd and final visit!!! It's not the cost of the drink it's that the price shown wasn't the price of the drinks. Seems your drinks are ala cart $5.00 for the liquor and $5.00 for the mixer. The suoreme pizza was one of the best we've had. Crispy crust, tons of toppings and Not greasy! The pecan cranberry salad was good but the dressing was a little salty. I had the chicken salad with cranberries on a croissant, so good! Enjoyed the outside sitting with misters so we could enjoy the live music. I came here for the coffee so I could study and do homework before a group dinner at La Posta. I sat outside and it was just so relaxing. I could have taken a nap (I really hate taking naps so that said something). The decor, the beautiful chairs, the chill music, everything made this so nice. Plus, the eye opener coffee was great. They don't burn their espresso and it's very good. Also the service is so nice. The waitresses came out to check on me a couple times even 2 hours after purchasing my coffee. I live in Las Cruces and this was my first time visiting. A bit taken back that it wasn't full service but to order at the counter. Being a touristy area. We ordered drinks, had to pay, then decided what food we wanted. Go back and order and pay. Waited quite a bit of time for our food. Had to go back to order/pay for another drink. In my opinion this place would do so much better if there were servers with a bubbly outgoing personality as we didn't experience today engaging with their clients. I gave Madelyn's five stars last month, but am reducing it to 2 stars. I suggested to a friend that we meet here and try their pizza. We ordered, paid, waited 45 minutes then checked and they had not given our order to the kitchen. No apologies, no offers of recompense. They were not busy (most of the tables were vacant). We waited another 15 minutes until the pizza arrived, undercooked. I give two stars because it was tasty, but it needed another 5 minutes in the oven. One star for service. read more
